Description: The Protective antiDeath Amulet, or PDA is a SIth Amulet designed to give the wearer the equivalent of lesser quality Sith Armor, except without burdening the wearer with the excessive weight. By analyzing the holocroned mind of Elcho Kressh and questioning him on how his father created the invinci-gauntlet Valik was able to discern a basic understanding of how the gauntlet worked. As he was talking to an imprint of the mind of Elcho rather than Ludo however the knowledge was not complete, so a perfect strength replica wasn't able to be created. As a result the user is not invincible while using the PDA, just much more heavily armored, and only when the user wishes to be protected. Attacks the user doesn't see coming, whether through misplaced trust or merely slow reflexes, will not be protected from. Similarly the PDA doesn't have the power to 'counterattack' opponents by redirecting the energy from lightsabers, blaster bolts, lightning, etc, though Valik has managed to enable it to put out a minor effect similar to force lightning which shocks users of melee attacks. While the effect is painful, and of the darkside, it is relatively minor, doing little damage per shock but serving as a great deterrent to melee combat, as well as giving a significant staying advantage. Finally, using his expertise with Force Dispersers Valik made sure to give the amulet a quality that would help hide it's nature from being sensed in the Force. This effect is carefully measured to only conceal the nature of the amulet and not the wearer in order to allow Valik more revenue possibilities by selling Force Dispersers as well as to minimize the costs of construction for the PDA, ensuring maximum profits. The 'armor' of the amulet is sufficient to defend the user from a few lightsaber strikes, going quicker depending on the strength of the lightsaber wielder, or a couple seconds of sustained blaster fire, or a good amount of slashery from a vibroblade or Sith Sword. Once 'depleted' the amulet can be charged again by pouring the Force into it, but the process requires great focus and nearly an hour of time, making charging it during combat nearly impossible.

I remember you doing a solid thread on the Gauntlet that didn't quite get to 10. Not that this needed a boost, really. The board's top alchemist and gadgeteer is back.

Approved pending secondary.
