SPECIAL FEATURES

Strengths:

  • [ The Hand that Purges ] - The Purifier class armor is designed to be a symbol that strikes fear into those who see it. It is highly resistant to blasterfire, heat, and corrosion, the latter two being base protection from the fuel the trooper uses for their flame throwers to prevent self harm. An integrated deflector shield protects the Purifier from ranged blaster fire.
Weaknesses:
  • [ Slow Juggernaut ] - As expected of flametrooper armor, the Purifier armor is slow and heavy, emphasizing protection to the wearer from not only their own flamethrowers but from ranged threats as well. As a result, movement is limited and slow, especially when carrying loaded fuel tanks.
  • [ Shields Down, Weapons Up ] - The Purifier's shields are only active when the Purifier is moving at a slow pace, and also only when the weapon is not being fired to prevent possible backfire. The Purifier relies on obscuring the enemy's line of sight when casting flames and is vulnerable while their weapons are active. The deflector shields also have a limited battery life so they must be used sparingly when under attack, and only protect the front.
  • [ Thermal Gel ] - The Thermal Gel provides an additional layer of protection for the wearer but also at the expense of mobility as it takes kinetic impacts causing the gel to solidify in response. Increased kinetic damage increases the immobility of the suit.
DESCRIPTION

The PC 'Purifier' Class Armor Platform is a specially designed flametrooper armor developed by The Sith Empire and only worn by members of the Perdition Corps. It is a symbol of fear, protecting the wearer from the cleansing flames that they deploy with extreme indifference and disregard for organic life, and as such is designed to protect the wearer from harming themselves - to an extent.

The Purifier features a full, auto polarizing visor as opposed to older types of flametrooper armor that utilized narrow slits to reduce glare from the flames they cast. This gives the Purifier an unrestricted field of view that is only obstructed by flames. An integrated lifeform scanner assists the Purifier in finding targets and moving to purge groups of enemies.

The suit itself is designed mostly to protect the wearer from themselves while operating on the field. Moisture wicking fabrics on the inner lining prevent build up of sweat as well as thermal regulators and onboard life support to keep the operator in optimal conditions. It was also designed to be specifically resistant to XR-Hellpyre which is the main fuel source that Purifiers use for their weapons. A deflector shield generator projects a protective wall in front of the Purifier from incoming blaster fire.
