Past the Point of No Return

I looked at the Jedi, who seemed to be glowing under his hood. A groan of aggravation escaped me as I turned to face the man who'd attempted to shoot at us as we were fighting. With an evil-looking smile on my face, I ran my tongue across my fangs, which might have made a bit more sense if the guy could've seen the actual wound on the woman's neck.

"Yes, little Jedi... Doesn't help that you could have blinded us all if that shot had hit me or the ground instead of her. Tibanna gas creates some pretty fireworks when it hits fire."

I noticed that we were almost at my ship, and grinned at the Jedi.

"You ever see the inside of a Ri'essi ship?"

"To be honest, I didn't care about where it hit. She needed to be stopped no matter the consequences." he said pausing. "Define Jedi. The last I remember, I don't go by that name. Aren't Jedi the ones who kill sith and traitors? I enjoy the company of either. Sith are just a different name just like jedi." he said analyzing the man as they walked. Then he asked him a question. "I only fly ships made by Corellian Engineering."

I smirked at the man I'd taken for a Jedi, and my contempt for him rose a bit at the admission of his own carelessness. So he'd known all along that he might injure either of us, and he'd shot anyway, almost without aiming... That was either stupid, or impressive. Both, probably.

"I feel no especially strong presence in the Dark Side from you, kid. So, I assumed you were a Jedi. Sue me. I've known Sith, Jedi, Dark Jedi, and everything in between. I've even met a man with greater destructive power than this woman. Her presence here could mean anything, though."

When the man replied to my question, I snorted.

"You've never seen anything like this, I'll tell you that."

When my ship finally came into view, I nodded towards it.

"Coming in?"

"Well, unlike this girl, I know how to control my powers." he said walking still. Alask analyzed the ship. It defiantly was nothing he'd ever seen. "You do have the girl." he said stopping and waiting for the man to enter. He didn't trust him but what could he do?

"If she is who I think she is, she knows how to control them perfectly well... But emotional trauma can do terrible things to a person."

I smiled at the opening ramp, and climbed in, walking towards the nearest guest room. Laying the woman down on the bed, I smirked back at the not-Jedi again.

"This isn't the worst Dark Side tantrum I've ever seen."

"I suppose you've met her before?" He could sense her emotions when she was on a rampage but he had never seen them change so quickly from anyone before. Once the ramp came out, Alask climbed up it after the man. When he would enter the guest room, he would grab his blaster rifle and set it in the bed corner. Then, he would sit on the bed where there was room. "The dark side is lovely is it not?" he paused with a laugh. "I'll sit here and keep an eye on her, just come if you hear me squealing."

I shook my head at the man, and heated up what looked like a cold cup of coffee by sticking my finger in it. It immediately came to a boil, and I dropped milk in it.

"Nothing you could do if she wakes up. Last thing she needs is some half-formed memory of a guy shooting at her. She'll go bat-sh*t all over again."

I plonked myself down into a cushy chair, and looked at the not-Jedi.

"So, if you're not a Jedi, who are you? Gonna warn you, I'm not overly fond of Sith, either. Force users are my prey, once or twice a month."

It was interesting to see him heat up stuff. He often wondered how he did it when there were pauses."I know. However, it seems her energy has been drained so she can't go too far." he paused. "Know anything that would calm her in case she does go flame queen again?" he asked giving a glance at her but looking back at the flaming man. "I'm beyond jedi and sith. I'm a rogue." he paused to glance again at the girl. She did try to melt him, remember? "If you eat me, I would add seasoning. Not sure how good I would taste."

As the two men conversed with one another, a small sort of whimper escaped Lexa's lips. She began to stir slightly, shifting her legs and turning her head. A sharp pain came from her neck as she moved. She whimpered again in her now semi-conscious state. She didn't seem dangerous like this. If anything, she seemed... Little. And innocent. Of course, once she fully awakened, this would fade away.

My face broke out into a smile as I heard the woman lying on the bed moan softly. She was probably going to wake soon, and that was going to be fun to explain. Not to mention, she looked kinda cute and fragile wriggling around like that.

"Well, I think I'm going to enjoy this. Try not to shoot her, Mr. Rogue."

I touched her shoulder, and sent a tiny bit of my energy into her.

"Wake up, Miss Volcano."

Women always seemed to be Alask's weakness. Yes, he knew to be cautious but some were just irresistible. The woman appeared adorable at the moment but he had to remember he was almost cooked. He cocked his head when she whimpered. He may of looked like a dog at the moment but again, women were his weakness. "Got it." he said analyzing the flaming man as he gave energy to her.

Slowly, Lexa's eyes opened. Her first initial thought was that she didn't remember going indoors. And then she realized that someone was touching her. She took in a sharp breath, sitting straight up. Not the best idea with the bite mark still on her neck. She groaned for a moment and placed a hand on the wound. That was when everything came full circle. She remembered what had happened on the surface. She remembered the giant fox-man who had taken her hits. She remembered the man who had tried to shoot her. And she remembered the news she had received that had sent her into a state of destructive insanity. She suddenly scrambled backward on the small bed until she was in the corner, eying both men warily.

The sudden movement surprised Alask. When he turned to look at her, she eyed him and the flaming man. He would give her a look with his eyes still glowing. He would take off his hood, not happy about it but smiling. "Good... your awake." he said keeping the smile. Very rarely did he take the hood off. He would stand up getting off the bed just in case she turned into a flaming demon again.

"Well that's real nice. At least I don't gotta bite you, this time. Sorry about that."

My hand pulled back from the woman, and I sat back down in my chair with my coffee. I waggled my tail at her, and smiled toothily. On a whim, I lit my fingertip as I'd seen Nicholas Imura do once, and used it to heat the drink again. I glanced at the woman for a reaction, before cuffing the not-Jedi across the back of the head with the Force.

"This idiot owes you an apology. Apparently, he didn't know what happens to blaster gas when it hits fire."

I drank the rest of my coffee, and tossed it safely onto the counter with the Force.

"I'm Malachite, by the way. The flaming one."

Lexa said nothing. The blaster bolt had only left a bruise on her shoulder, so she barely noticed it. She pulled her knees to her chest and hugged them, continuing to watch the both of them with cold alert eyes. She stared at the taller one most of all when he heated his drink with his own fire. So he was a Shaper as well. That would mean that it would be much harder to kill him should she need to escape.

I frowned at the woman as she kept glaring at me. With a quick look at the bite I'd left on her shoulder, I sighed in annoyance. Grabbing some alcohol and a bandage off a counter next to me, I looked closer. At least my teeth were clean enough to avoid an infection.

"Let me patch you up, Lava Girl? It is my bite, after all."

With the comment of the man, he chuckled and put the hood back on. As before, only the glow of his eyes could be seen. "What made you attack me? Not trying to interrogate you or anything but I was only trying to comfort you at the cantina." It may of not seemed he cared for anything but he really did no matter his actions. "Sorry, if I must apologize."

Lexa's gaze was unwavering and intense. She glanced at the bandages and the alcohol, and then back at the fox-man. Cautiously, she slid to the edge of the bed and placed her feet on the floor so that he could reach the bite mark. She looked directly into the other man's glowing eyes, not saying a word to either of them.

I clicked my tongue at myself for biting so deep into this woman's neck. It was kinda hard to clean, this way. But I finally did, and stuck the bandage over the wound, rolling my eyes at the not-Jedi.

"Going for your lightsaber and drawing a gun ain't the best way to endear yourself, kid."

I stepped back, and formed my mouth into a crooked grin directed at the woman on the bed.

"Well, you're okay, now... I remember trying to do that trick to another shaper who tried to kill me... Beat me senseless and left me in a gutter."

[member="Lexa Imura"] [member="Alask Diruno"]

Lexa didn't move an inch, even though the alcohol stung very badly. She looked down to the floor when Malachite mentioned "another Shaper". She had a hunch that she knew who he was talking about. But she didn't want to think about it. She didn't want to remember. Memories were such horrible things. Always filling your head with past events, making you feel pain for something that can't ever be fixed. Through her emotionless facade, a single tear managed to escape her eye and began making it's way down her face.
