Past the Point of No Return

So many times had Lexa come to Tatooine before. This time, however, it was different. She wasn't here just for the sake of being here. She was here looking for two people. Asher Kellan, one of her closest friends. And Nickolas Imura, her brother-in-law. It had been six months since she had seen either of them. At this point in her search, she was seriously becoming afraid. This had happened before. Three years before, to be exact. When her husband, Morna Imura, had left and never returned. She prayed that they hadn't met the same fate.

Lexa walked with purpose to every public place where they had been, asking the same questions again and again, only to recieve the same answer:

"Nope. Haven't seen those guys. Not for six months..."

She sighed deeply, sitting down on a small ledge next to the cantina as the two suns began to disappear underneath the horizon. What was she going to do if they couldn't be found?

Days passed and you found Alask in the same place. In some hut on tatooine. Now you're probably wondering why. There's no answer. Probably him just being lazy and not wanting to train although he's been sharp lately. Anywhere he went, he still wore his battles robes and armor. After a few days, he forgot to pay rent of the hut he was living in. He just fled the situation and they didn't catch him. Now, he just had to find his ship. But no ones leaves Coruscant without a visit at the cantina. If you do, you're desperate. His hood was up and he was walking. Well, slowly walking to make sure he wasn't being followed. After a few minutes of walking, he made it to the cantina but didn't enter. Alask wasn't thirsty or anything, but looking for job is all. He leaned against the cantina wall arms crossed and looked to his sides. On his left side, he saw a young woman sitting on a ledgeclose to the cantina. She seemed worried. He would look straight if she sent a glare at him. Unknown is what he is.

I couldn't believe this... Alone again. No matter how much women said they wanted me around, it proved to be false. Meili had been the closest I'd ever come to actually loving anybody, and she'd disappeared. Chiasa had been fun for a while, and then hadn't had the time for me when the Bane kid took the reins of the Ravens. There was literally nothing I could do about either of them. Just sitting here, on the edge of nowhere, in the part of space that was the definition of nowhere.

Sitting in an alleyway, as if I'd been beaten, with my tail drooping and my ears flattened down against my face. Of course, I hadn't been beaten up. Nobody short of a well-trained Sith could ever stop me. But I felt as if it'd happened. Like I'd been trampled into the ground. The sparks that usually flew uncontrollably from my body instead fell like burning tears, sputtering out sadly on the ground. I couldn't claim I was sober, but getting philosophical was not something I could do without a drink.

It was a few moments later when a final piece of news caused Lexa's already fragile mind begin breaking down. She had been feeling very unusual for the past month. Throwing up every morning, having sudden laughing or crying fits, craving food that she wouldn't have really cared for before. So, she had went to a doctor to undergo an examination. They ran a few tests, and as her pocket holo-computer informed her of a message, she looked to receive the results.

<Mrs. Imura,

The test results from your appointment a week ago have come in. I apologize for not notifying you sooner, but my schedule has been incredibly hectic. Anyway, the result for one of the tests came back positive. I'm glad to be the first to congratulate you on your pregnancy. Yes! You're going to be a mother! I can't tell you how pleased I am for you. Good luck and good health to the both of you, and I'll see you next month for the check-up!

Sincerely,
Dr. Firithix>

Lexa dropped the computer. It hit the ground with a hard thwack, most likely breaking. After the first few moments of initial dumbstruck-ness, she shakily stood up. Part of her was happy. The majority of her, however, was scared and confused and sad and even a bit angry. How could this be happening? She couldn't be a mother! She didn't know the first THING about being a mother! She couldn't raise a child on her own! Oh God, where was Nickolas? He's the father! Why isn't he here with her? Why won't he come back? Why did Morna have to die? Why couldn't he be here, and this be his child? Why did everything around her always fall apart and leave her with nothing but fear and loneliness? WHAT WAS SHE SUPPOSED TO DO?? WHO WAS SHE SUPPOSED TO BE????

Lexa held her head in her hands, digging her fingernails into her scalp. Her breath was labored as tears rolled down her cheeks. She was panicking, spiraling into a complete mental breakdown. And this time, nothing could stop it.

I was about to just give up, and possibly pass out, when a fucking datapad fell from the sky to hit me in the head. Couldn't I be depressed for ten minutes without anybody hitting me with stray objects? With an annoyed look above me, I tucked the datapad into my belt, and leapt up, using a dumpster to give me extra height to reach the roof. The rushing air burned me. It took a while for me to realize, but the sparks that'd melted and ran down my face had actually left deep red burn tracks. What the hell?!

Clambering up onto the roof of the building, I smirked to myself at the thought that nothing could come falling from anywhere here. Maybe if I climbed up onto one of those vents, some cool air would...

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of somebody hyperventilating. Whoever it was sounded like Darth Vader running a marathon. Pulling the datapad from my belt, a name caught my eye... Imura. I yelped and dropped the datapad, which slid to the edge of the roof where... A woman was crying? I entertained the notion of hiding, for a second, but I didn't think there was anything big enough up here to hide behind. Plus, my face was burning... That wasn't something that happened. Ever. What in the hell had I done to myself?

Clack! Or at least that's the sound he heard when he looked at the woman's way. Alask analyzed the area she was sitting at and saw a holo-computer beat up on the dry ground. Then, she stood up. In an odd way. He wasn't the one to get in others way when they're dealing with something but he had nothing else to do. He began walking slowly over to the woman but would keep some distance, about three feet. As he got closer, he could see tears rolling down her cheeks as she held her head in her hands. "Ma'am, are you okay?" he said keeping his hand on his saber although it'd only look like he was crossing his arms. You had to be careful or else you would end of like that guy in the cantina who's trying to joke around.

The sobbing sounds that escaped her mouth between huffing breaths suddenly began to sound like... laughing. She began laughing, at first just a little, and then uncontrollably. Her hands fell to her sides, her head tilted to the ground. Though her laughing sounded as if she was just fine, her trembling form and her shifting expression suggested the polar opposite. And when she changed into her Fire Form without any warning whatsoever, it was quite clear that she was far from fine. The sun had completely set by this time, and in her current state, Lexa was glowing as brightly as a sun. She didn't answer the man who'd talked to her. She began hurling fire and molten lava down on him like Armageddon was upon him. She didn't even try to aim at just him. She unleashed her Hell on everything around her, not caring if people died or if buildings crumbled.

As her laughing begun, Alask backed up. Then, when she turned into a a demon looking thing, he kept his senses up. At this point, he knew she was going to fight . He let go of the grip of his light saber on his belt and watched. He felt something just when molten lava and fire came at him from above. Like a mortar. This woman seemed sick and very deceiving. Alask seemed like an old man in poverty that never came out of shadows. But deep down, he knew how to fight. Scanning the area in a short amount of time, he found a fair sized speeder knocked over by a building. He wasn't going to run, but maneuver. Again, he had time but not long. Reaching out with the force, he picked up the speeder and held it in front of him guarding from the lava and fire. He had to keep in mind lava could burn through metal and that more of the stuff she unleashed was coming down. Alask backed up into something, a wall. He opened the door a little down from the wall and stepped in enough for cover. He would analyze the woman and anything close by.

Oh, damn... Things had really gone to hell now. This woman I'd seen sobbing was hurling fire and lava and Force knows what else at some hapless Jedi. Not that I generally minded beating up on Jedi, but this just didn't seem fair. With a resigned sigh, I leapt in the path of the flame, letting my own flare up thicker than ever before. The lava hurt a little, but it wasn't really enough to do more than singe my clothing.

"You need to not torch that Jedi here, lady... Don't like 'em much, but the top of a building ain't the place to throw lava around."

Lexa was oblivious to all in her rage. She had embraced the Dark Side. Finally, it had happened. This was her defining moment. The moment that changed her from a sad, fragile little girl into a powerful, uncontrollable monster. She threw a powerful gust of Force energy into the two men in front of her before jumping down into the street. She began bombarding the buildings as she walked through the town. It was like there was a war being waged, but only a single person was the source of the damage. Anyone who happened to come outside and see what was happening who ended up in her path were incinerated on site. Screams began ringing through the air between the explosions. It was doomsday. And Lexa was it's bringer.

I hissed slightly, baring my teeth, as the Force blast threw me back, luckily onto the roof of the building behind me. On the ground, that lady was melting the town into nothing with her anger and lava. Definitely an Imura, if I ever saw one. Still hadn't gotten over that one time the other Imura had insulted my skill or something like that, and then tried to incinerate me. That guy couldn't kill me, and neither would this crazy lava-woman.

I leapt across the gaps between the buildings with only a bit of difficulty, mostly when the lava had begun to melt the structures sideways. At least she was walking kind of slow. The heat coming off the lava made keeping my jacket on impossible, and I let it flap away behind me, most likely to melt in the now-spreading lava. My fur was sparking like crazy, and pretty soon my fire was up to full power around me. I was leaving deep burns where my feet touched the buildings, unwittingly providing myself with footholds to climb up the roofs.

If it was any consolation to me at all, I was bigger than the Imura woman. If I tackled her, I could knock her down, but it wasn't likely that a physical threat would stop her. No reason not to try, anyway. I jumped down, aiming to land right in front of the crazy flame-lady.

Overhearing the conversation, he was disgusted. Were Jedi the only ones with recognition these days? Alask forgot about it and grabbed his blaster rifle on his back as he went after both of them. He first jumped on another row of buildings across from the other ones the bigger creature went. Using close combat wasn't the best thing to use at the moment... well, unless you wanna be butter on Tatooine sand. He kept hopping until he was close enough. Lucky for him, he sensed where the lava and other things coming from her would go. However, the buildings were crumbling as he ran. He was close enough so he took the shot. Blasters shot energy so he figured it would hit since lava and fire is heat. Killing her wasn't / was the goal.

As the now flaming fox-man landed right in front of her, he would see through the brightness for only a moment as Lexa aimed another blast at a large building. He would see the new form that she had dawned, one that could've only been spawned by her complete transition to the Dark Side:

She began to pummel the tall man's torso with lightning-fast molten fists. The blaster bolt that hit her shoulder was barely felt, and it didn't slow her down at all.

It took a lot to stop myself from collapsing in pain with the burns from the molten fists now pounding my abdomen. It hurt. Not something I was used to, from the heat, or from the physical attack. Finally, I managed to grab one of this woman's fists. It was fething hot. All my body heat and energy went into my hands and feet, the only things keeping me from being melted into a puddle of goo. Then an idea came to my head... Stupid? Yes. Possibly suicidal? Again, yes.

I spread my temperature up across my body to white-fire level, and bit into the woman's neck with my fangs. Hopefully, I'd be able to leach enough energy out of her to stop her, or at least knock her out. But, this little demonstration proved she was one of the Imuras. I'd never seen anybody else sustain anything less than a first degree burn from my fire.

Seeing the action from below, and even atop the buildings, he didn't know what to do other than to follow. There had to be something that could stop her. Just when he thought about that, an upcoming building was blasted by her. It blocked all ways he could go forward so Alask force blast by forming a ball of sand, rock, and debris. He would then send it towards the building blasting it again to get a pathway. That's when he'd keep going running atop.

Lexa was about to attempt an incineration on the fox-man when he grabbed her flaming figure and bit into her neck. The sudden pain at first made her squirm fiercely as she tried to Force-push him away, but she couldn't. It was like he was draining her of her energy. After ten minutes, her Fire Form fizzled into nothingness. Her eyes were still glowing a bright white-yellow as she began to go limp. She sank to the ground. Before her eyes fell closed, they dissolved into their normal light brown. "M-Morna...." She said weakly before losing consciousness.

I staggered with the energy as I released the unconscious woman from my grip, my head spinning. Finally, I righted myself, and stood up fully. I looked around at the lava, shrugged, and swung my arm out in some kind of victory pose I'd seen in a movie. Looking at the woman, my mood darkened a tiny bit. At least she hadn't destroyed the whole town. I could probably still get her to my ship without anybody ever knowing that the gold-furred fox-man and the pretty black-haired woman had burned down most of their major buildings.

I gently slid my arms under the woman's back and legs, and picked her up relatively easily. Looking at the bite I'd left, I grimaced. At least it was clean, I guessed, beginning to pick my way through the lava. My fire cooled down, except for my feet, where I needed to keep touching the lava. Interesting difference between her power and mine. I was closer to harnessing heat, where she was an uncontrolled volcano. I just hoped that she didn't wreck my medbay.

Alask came out of all the smoke to see the woman returned back to normal. The flaming creature did something he guessed. He put the gun back on his back and hopped down as he walked towards the creature. It was hard to see what/who it was from afar. By the time he got to the woman, she was knocked out or something. "Bravo." he would say with a smile from under his hood. His green eyes usually glowed when he sensed something but this was different. They were glowing. His brother Oka has the same glow. However, his glows constantly for some reason. His face could be seen from under his hood, only his smile and the light of his eyes could. "A pretty risky thing you just did there, yea?" he said with a now smirk.
