Varro Jhicaro
Character
Hi all!
So when I came to this site a while ago, I was a little bummed out that Panatha had been wiped out years ago. I realized though that it represented an interesting opportunity; what do the survivors do in the aftermath? While most died on these planets, refugees and survivors invariably fled. How would they view the galaxy in the aftermath? How would they view force users? Governments? Wars and the state of the galaxy?
One of my favorite interpretations is that while many would settle in the neighboring systems of their destroyed worlds, that a good amount would simply wander aimlessly through space, their homes destroyed, living kind of a nomadic lifestyle system to system where they shun the current galaxy for destroying their planets. After all, when the war is never ending, when the borders are ceaselessly changing, is there anywhere else to go but to the stars - and to stay there?
So the idea was to get a few Epicanthix and Chiss RPers, shove them onto a lucrehulk or carrier or container ship, and kind of RP out what that would look like. How do you survive? How do you live? When two very different cultures are united by a single unifying event, what evolves out of that? How do you find peace? How do you avoid the galaxy when you live in it?
For some context, my own character is an ex-soldier from Panatha. He fought for the Sith, and only after the annihilation was over did he realize he was brainwashed. Talk about PTSD. I intend for him to be a pirate, providing resources to this "Survivorship" and battling his internal guilt. After all, when you're starving, can you be picky about morals and where your food comes from?
Anyone have any interest in this idea? Any and all are welcome!
