Padawans, Podracers and Mischief Oh My

What had started out as a lazy, speculative idea by Dusaro got turned into something much more by his other Padawan friends. He had speculated about going out into the galaxy on his ship and expolore. And then someone, though he did not know who, said something about pod-racing. From then on, things moved faster then he had expected them to and in what little free time they had, they were off to go and watch pod-racing. Or atleast he was. Then there were the others. He had one of them say something about joining in a race. Dusaro knew better. He was not a good pilot, and would simply watch... And try and make sure no one got too horribly hurt. That was the plan at least.

"Right... We are in hyperspace and headed to the planet now." He said over his ships intercomms. It was a YV-929 Armoed Freighter. It flew like a brick, but the insides were nice, clean and sleek. He kept his ship in good order.

With that said, he stood up and headed back down to the general quarters, where everyone else was.

Seskel himself was sitting somewhat away from the other padawans. He didn't quite know them yet, so he wasn't really that interactive with them. He looks to Dusaro, who had just stepped into the room. He waves and smiles slightly. "So, which planet are we going to again?" He asks, locking his fingers together and resting his forearms on his thighs. Seskel was more than eager to go, he was just hoping that it wasn't Tatooine. He had somewhat of a bad reputation there.

Between stealing and yanking parts off of things he probably shouldn't have, he had grown to be not very likable to the residents there. Of course he had stopped that when he was taken in to be taught the ways of the Force, but he doubted greatly that they would believe him. A small sigh escapes his lips as he looks back to the floor.

He closes his eyes and listens.

It had been far too easy to talk Anora into climbing on board and going along with this plan; as in, there was no talking her into it what so ever. The idea had been put out there, and she was game. Some down time sounded like a good idea to her, and what better way than to hop on a ship and go see some podraces? She was totally alright with that, plus it was a Padawan bonding experience, right?

Right...

When Dusaro's voice came over the intercom, Anora's head tipped back for a moment, though she wasn't looking at anything specific. She made a noise in her throat and righted her head, then looked around at the other Padawans - and then Dusaro when he joined them as well.

"Are we there yet?" she grinned. Oh yes, she was clearly playing that card before anyone else got the chance to.

This wasn't something Doug was very used to. He was actually going out on a "bonding" experience with other people. Having lived on Tatooine, he never really interacted much with many people besides his parents. He had done some things to try and earn extra funding in his past... One of those things was pod racing. A passing remark about it and now he was being dragged along on some kind of journey to go watch a pod race.

He did not feel compelled to actually take part in the race as he had no real reason to and he didn't really think much to talk about it either. Nonetheless, he had agreed to go with the other Padawans on this rather random experience. It would do him some good to get closer to the others after all. He had spent plenty of time with his Master already as is. He didn't really know these other people as well as that giant blonde fellow.

He was sitting in the living quarters with the others, but not really saying much. He wasn't the best people person, but he would at least try to make conversation sometimes. He heard what Dusaro had said over the intercom and then noticed him walking into the room. He waved at him as he did, noting the silly remark made by Anora. He was a little curious about how much longer the trip would take to be honest with himself.

Ando Prime, 0816 hours.

Rylan silently wished he'd kept that Iceglare crystal around his neck, instead of having it embedded into his sword., as he rubbed his shoulders a few times. The race prohibited weapons, and for very good reasons, but if he'd had the crystal in close proximity, he could have used it to help keep his body warmer than it was at the moment. Wearing a long, thick coat, a sleek black helmet was curled in his left arm as he inspected his podracer. Memories flooded in as he ran his hand over it, smirking as he remembered being a padawan and getting caught by his master. It was a nice model, one he'd purchased himself and worked on to his own specifications. It was small and fast, perfect for taking first place. He hadn't raced since that one time as a padawan, so he was eager to test his skills again. Of course, if his new padawan friends had foolishly decided to follow him to Ando Prime, he would totally take all responsibility. He was pretty sure he had been overheard talking about it, anyway. "Yo, Rylan!" His head popped up, looking for the source of the call. It was his contact, Jerry, motioning him over to talk for a few minutes, probably to describe the track boundaries, and possible shortcuts. Leaving his vehicle, he walked over to the man, but made it a point to keep it in clear sight. He didn't trust that nobody would try to tamper with it. There was always someone...

"No. None of that. Shame on you." He said in a snarky tone, looking to Anora as she asked 'are we there yet'. "It will not take too long. Two days at the most. "Any of you ever been on long hyperspace trips? Not everyone is used to being stuck in a ship for weeks like i am." Dusaro asked, figuring it was a good as conversation as any to start off with, taking a seat in the general quarters. Though, come to think of it, he was not sure what kind of conversations and topics he could speak with his fellow Padawans about. He doubted they wanted to hear of his achievements as a Mercenary. Though he had a few good stories he supposed.

Seskel leans back in his seat and sighs, looking to the ceiling of the ship. He remains silent as he moves his gaze to the window of the ship. He wasn't very good in ships, always made him a tad queasy. Seskel stretches and pops his back, an exhale of relief leaving him as he did so. He stuffs his hands into his pockets and starts humming quietly.

Seskel never really was a social person, him and his "Parents" Were the only people in the house when he was growing up. He felt bad for not interacting, but he really had nothing to say, his mind drew blanks every time he went to start up a conversation. Seskel looks down to his fingers, wriggling them slightly as he thought about how his life had taken a drastic turn in a flash. From a petty criminal to a padawan, learning the ways of the force, which was something he had never believed in, for he had never seen anything of it until that mysterious man took him in.

"Bloody hell..." He mumbles, letting his wrists go limp as he looks back to the floor.

Anora kept her grin, but she held her hands up in surrender before she could really start some sort of trouble. The idea that the trip could take two days had her looking around again...at the boys. Always surrounded by boys. This made her sigh, but at least this was a step in the right direction in getting to know them all better. Then maybe the lack of more estrogen wouldn't be as overbearing anymore. Not to mention, it was easier to be friends with guys than it was other girls. Other girls were mean...

Her head shook a bit, drawing herself from her awkward reverie. "I've never been on any long hyperspace trips that I can think of." she answered Dusaro with a shrug of her shoulder. "First time for everything, hm?"

She heard Seskel speak up, and had been sort of keeping an eye on him from the corner of her eye. He seemed to be having issues adjusting to this whole group gathering, and who could blame him really? They were all most definitely different, and the only reason they were around each other at all was due to their Master. While Anora wasn't exactly opposed, not everyone necessarily felt that way.

"You okay over there?" she directed the question to Seskel, then glanced briefly at Dusaro and Doug before focusing her gaze back on the youngest member of the group.

The trip there was all together calm. Assuming nobody tried to walk out the airlock because they saw a shiny red button, they all arrived safe and sound at Andro Prime. Androm Prime was a frigid, cold planet, and was an ice ball. It was also one of the few planets that still had legal pod-racing. It was out in the nowhere part of the galaxy, a place where no one cared to mess with. There was no reason to, since it had nothing of real value. So the races kept quietly going on, out of sight, out of mind. And then Dusaro and crew touched down on the landing port.

Dusaro dressed himself in heavy thermal gear winter clothing. They would have all been informed of the weather conditions, and to take the nessisary clothes to prepare for it. "Ah... nice, frigid wasteland." He remarked as he lowerd down the cargo ramp of his ship and stepped outside, quickly paying the docking fee. He had to admit, being out of the robes was relaxing in a way. "So, here we are." He said, turning to the rest of the group. They could hear the sounds of machinery all around them in the port, a mechanic shouting here and there, people carrying cargo. A very lively port indeed. "Look around the area first before we head to the cantina and check up on the race listings? Or just head straight there?" Dusaro asked the group.

"I'm all for looking around this place, but I think we should probably check out the listings first. I mean, we're going to be here for awhile anyway." Seskel says, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jacket. He hated how cold it was, but he was glad to be away from training, to be away from practically everything. He then fell silent again, looking around the snowy atmosphere around. His eyes were drawn to a certain building. From what he could see, it sold trinkets, games, souvenirs, the lot. A faint smile stretched across his face as he kept eyeing it.

"But one thing I know for certain is that I want to go to that shop before we leave." He says, turning and smiling to the rest of the group, which might surprise some, seeing as how he never really smiled around them. Honestly, it caught Seskel by surprise. He felt happy, really happy. Less of an outcast as well, being that he was stuck in a ship with all of the others for a couple of days. He was feeling more and more like he belonged.

The days had breezed by rather quickly. It almost felt like a blur, but they had arrived. The planet looked like a giant snowball until they had properly entered the atmosphere and landed at a landing port. Apparently pod racing was actually legal on this sphere of ice. He had also put on some clothes fit for the frigid weather. It was rather unlike anything he had worn in the past. Even on his home planet, which was basically a sphere of sand, he still generally would wear robes and the like.

Doug stepped down the cargo ramp after Dusaro and Seskel and looked around, his hands also stuffed into the pockets of his jacket. Even with all of these insulating clothes, he still was feeling the chill and thoughts rushed through his head about it. Do people live on this planet? If they do at all... He'd have to bear with it during their little getaway as he did with many things he has experienced in the past.

The place was strangely a bit more lively than he had anticipated. He had no problem with that, though. It at least made the sights less dreary. Seskel even pointed out what seemed to be a souvenir shop and seemed joyful about the prospect of visiting it. Doug let out a brief chuckle. "Yeah... That sounds like a plan alright." He replied lightheartedly to what Seskel and Dusaro had said. He still seemed a bit distant, but he was trying to make a bit of conversation with them. He never was exactly the best at this in most cases.

He then simply continued to glance around after the cheery remark.

Despite being outnumbered, as per usual, Anora had actually enjoyed the trip. It was nice to take a step back and be ale to process everything that had changed in her life from a distance. Add that to the fact that she was getting rather used to being around this particular group of boys, and it was all alright. There had been plenty of conversations and laughs on the way to the ice ball they had landed on, and she had kept her own against the guys in terms of teases and jokes.

When it came time to put on some warmer gear, she had shrugged and found someplace out of sight to do exactly that, and was immediately thankful for it when the group made their way down the cargo ramp. She tugged her jacket a bit more tightly against herself, and sighed heavily just to see her breath against the cold. Strange how good it felt to be in regular clothing - well, not regular, but out of the robes. They were nice and all, but so were regular clothes.

The subject of what to do first brought a thoughtful noise from Anora's lips, and she moved forward through the trio of guys to get a look at what they were seeing and talking about. "I think checking the listings first is a unanimous decision." she stated with a grin, then half turned so that she was at least able to see all three guys again.

"Shall we?"
