OutlawTech isn't so much a single company as it is an underground network of illegal workshops and frontier factories loyal to the Outer Planets Alliance. Consortiums like this one are how the OPA outfits its operatives and elite commando teams without access to a conventional military industrial complex of their own. While decentralized production means often Alliance equipment is second rate some workshops create brilliant contraptions that give ORION agents an unpredictable edge in games of cloak and dagger.
The company's true headquarters is housed in a remote facility on Exocron where codeword level projects are discussed and experiments conducted openly, but everything about its other locations appears entirely mundane and unconnected. A master weaponsmith from Ma'ar Shaddam here, a Terminus droid specialist there...it all combines to make OutlawTech.
RATIONALE
Alvar Hanso is one of Deacon's oldest and longest lasting cover identities, a frontier business tycoon. Hanso is supposedly a mysterious capital investor with interests in each of OutlawTech's various holdings. Often he is an anonymous backer and also holds stake in dozens of irrelevant projects to confuse any potential digital trace.
