Damon Riggs
SURPRISE
Riggs sat in the back of a cantina in Mos Eisley's waiting for his crew to arrive. Some feelers had been put out that he had work, needed a couple of extra hands for his next run, and wanted people who didn't ask questions. Damon would provide the work as long as those applying didn't ask any questions. This meant he wasn't going to be negotiating his rate either. What he said he could guarantee was exactly that, a guarantee. Fortunately there were a couple of people who had been able to do exactly that, and Teyla was supposed to be bringing someone along as well. Naturally there was always a spot for [member="Rocco"] as well if he wanted it. The space monkey knew where to find him, always.
As it was the job was simple. They had weapons to run, with the CIS banner stamped on the crates, to Arbra. From the chatter going down around the Galaxy, The First Order and the Sith Empire were already dividing up the space vacated by the Galactic Alliance into their own little pockets. Riggs didn't like it, and made a deal with the one man who hated it more than he did. The Vicelord of the CIS was eager to ensure that no "Empire" would take control of the vacant space. Riggs job was simple... get the guns in the hands of those who could stir a rebellion.
Arbra was the first stop in this on going mission. That's really what it was despite the fact Damon was a smuggler. The CIS had already taken Naboo under their wing, and Arbra was the next natural location. This was a pre-arrival type job. With less than 8,000 human on the planet, the Confederacy knew that swift action was needed if they wanted to ensure the world was safe. That's where Riggs came in. With less people he could mobilize faster and create some good propaganda for Confederacy involvement in the world. Arbra could be more than a planet that was a colony or the protectorate of some faction. Under the Confederacy they could thrive as well as they had, or more, under the Galactic Alliance.
With a whiskey bottle on the table, and glass in his hand, Riggs waited. They would be arriving soon, and once they did, it would be time to take off. It wasn't supposed to be a flashy mission, and they were not going to be getting a lot of credit for their work. What they wouldn't get in recognition they were going to get in credits though, and Damon and Teyla desperately needed those, especially considering the news she had given him recently.
