The first tank that was destroyed had caused a stir in the morale of pirates and had improved the morale of the colonists. The first had demonstrated a certain degree of power that many might've felt to be godlike, the second, however, practically confirmed such an assertion. The movement of the third tank's barrel to shooting the second and subsequent tearing apart of the third caused the pirates to lose heart and the colonists to gain it. Even Raphael felt himself swept up in the fervor of their excitement, though he kept himself a bit more reserved.
The cheers of the colonists weren't entirely unfounded. The civilians to the south had been keeping what few pirates had been crazy enough to try that way down and with the destruction of their tanks only the hardiest and craziest of the raiders had managed to make it up to the top. Raphael, for his part, jumped down from the wall. <"Snipers, stay on your positions! Shocktroopers with me!">
Several of the men that carried assault rifles and had been firing from behind barricades came out and joined him. They started walking along, opening fire on the remaining pirates that hadn't immediately started fleeing when the tanks exploded. They were routed and there was no real point in pursuing any longer. Some were covering their friends' escapes, but they were being deal with. Stun bolts for some, one took a mag pistol bolt to the leg when he came at Raphael with a vibroblade. One by one, they began rounding up and taking prisoner, those that had been downed without being killed.
<"Alright... I'd say that we're nearly done here..."> Engines roared and two ships, tranpsorts by the look of them, lifted off and headed away into space. <"...I'd say that there's no point in pursuing that. Let them get away to lick their wounds. We'll make sure to call on the Alliance to take some pirates into custody."> Then slowly his hand lowered from his comms. So many questions, so little time. He wasn't going to buffet the jedi with inane questions.
