Outer Rim Biotech, PTY LTD. is a medium sized biotech company, which is publicly aimed at researching, developing and providing a range of products. Privately funded by investors, the company operates largely contained within itself, claiming pursuit of cures and immunizations, while offering very few commercial products beyond basic organic medications or cosmetics. The real purpose of the company is in developing new Yuuzhan Vong Biotech, which can be produced within the galaxy proper, without having to make large-scale extra-galactic transporting a requirement. Typically fields to be explored are guided by Yuuzhan Vong shapers, who carefully oversee all aspects of development and production.
Fronted by adherent or slave sentients of the galaxy, or even Yuuzhan Vong spies and shapers using cloakers, it continues to function publicly as it once did prior to Yuuzhan Vong takeover, including a privatized export and shipping division.
RATIONALE
In the guise of an interested investor, Zhaelor Anor was able to purchase controlling interests in the original company, taking control through an effective internal hostile takeover. He immediately fired the board, reassigned puppet leadership, and refocused the various research and development divisions to his initial whims in the short term. Now, some years later, the business remains a legitimate and privately owned company, completely above board on casual and even close inspection, though if it were to fall under intense scrutiny, some concerns could be raised about operations... assuming such intrusive investigations weren't handled by other parties beforehand.
