  • Aquatic: For its aquatic use the OCG is water/air tight meaning that it can slip under the surface to reach certain areas, keep crew safe from harmful gasses and traverse terrain other vehicles could not.
  • Thick Armour: Though smaller than a AAT the OCG has thicker armour with more attention to the back and underside to avoid damage from mines and other underwater threats.
  • AA: Though not particularly powerful the AA capabilities of the OCG should not be messed with and can be used to target enemy aircraft.

  • Under Powered: Compared with the AAT with its larger array of weapons the OCG falls a littler short and though can stand up in front line combat can be outgunned by more dedicated battle tanks.
  • No Room: The COG was not really meant for prolonged sorties or carrying troops like the AAT can, as such has a really cramped cargo space only holding max of 3 passengers and 40kg of cargo.

The was first used during the invasion of Naboo where it was used in the swampy areas on the planet’s surface to rather good use, its aquatic abilities and speed being able to quickly enslave the local population. Over time though as more land based wars where fought the COG fell out of much use, and with the fall of the CIS and rise of the empire it’s use all but vanished. Now though with the resurgence of the CIS and its new war machine the COG once rediscovered when shifting through old data records has been pressed back into service. This time it has received a few upgrades but overall has been unchanged.

With the upcoming dominion of Maramere the CIS was in need of an aquatic tank unit to be used on the water/island planet, the OCG being the best vehicles for the job due to it's easy production (using same lines as AAT) and good combat record.
