ABOUT HIM: Osmund Z. Krei is a businessman, entrepreneur and an information broker, who deals with large sums of credits and currency on regular occasion. He has a very legitimate and established history in investment, banking and other financial pursuits.
Unknown to but a select few is that he is also a crime lord, who has connections with the Exchange. You could say he's part of the public face, who has holdings free of the criminal syndicates strings, but also some very well-covered and secured laundering operations (here's looking at you, slicers). Why? Because, unlike a lot of other sentients who delve into the crime lord pit, Osmund is a particularly impressive case, as he has had multiple centuries to cultivate businesses and dealings and connections. This makes his legitimate dealings actually very difficult to prove as anything but, because they've been ingrained into many planets foundations and everyday workflows.
On top of that, Osmund doesn't look like himself anymore. At all. He undergoes reconstructive surgeries every five decades or so, and adopts new aliases along the way that he slips into as needed, which are positioned to inherent his businesses and wealth - cousins, distant relatives, that kind of thing. He's been doing this longer than most others have been alive (again, looking at you, sneaky slicers), and it's become a comfortable routine for him by this point.
That's not to say finding 'dirt' on Osmund is impossible; it's just that, if you do, be warned that he has a vast network and will hire sentients with better skills than you to eradicate your existence - and everyone you know and love. There will be no revenge plots from disgruntled loved ones for this man, not at all.
Oh, and he doesn't keep all his 'Mynocks' (finances) in one basket - it's spread out. Nice try.
So, for all intents and purposes, Osmund Z. Krei is a legitimate wealthy businessman and information broker - because he is - who is also a sly crime lord on the side, which you probably don't know about unless he wants you to. That said, not everything he does involves crime, so he can certainly be a benefit to other companies and investors.
