- Fast and Maneuverable: The Steadfast Class Assault Frigate is designed as an interceptor type ship capable of pushing forward quickly during a naval battle and engaging the enemy up close. As such it has a faster cruising speed than is usual for a ship of this tonnage and is able to maneuver in ways similar to a smaller Corvette type vessel.
- Low Hangar Space: The Steadfast class assault frigate was designed to cross large distances quickly and to engage enemy ships. It is designed to conduct operations in groups of three to five, and as such carries only a single squadron of fighter craft as a screen. Steadfast Class Assault Frigates that find themselves cut off from the rest of their fleet/battlegroup may quickly find themselves overwhelmed by enemy fighter and bombers.
The Steadfast Class Assault Frigate is an attack frigate designed for primarily offensive operations against enemy ships. It utilizes its heavy armament, high cruising speed and superior maneuverability to chase down enemy ships in squadrons of three to five and engage them, while outmaneuvering their screens. It is not designed for heavy engagements or to operate on its own, and as such only carries a single fighter squadron as a screen.
