The telepathic amplifier was designed by Taji-Nelson using a questionably obtained telecrystalline piece, something that could increase the ability and range of a telepath. It was then attached to a necklace designed to focus that ability exclusively to a wearer simply by being worn, allowing it to go functionally under the radar while standing right out in the open. The device increases the range and potential strength of the wearer and prevents outside individuals from taking advantage of it. However this comes with potential fall backs, if the necklace itself is damaged the telecrystalline will revert to its natural state allowing anyone close enough to it to use its abilities. The telecrystalline itself could also potentially be damaged, making the entire thing useless. As a failsafe, Taji installed an offswitch that would disable its use. While this works well for him, it can also endanger the user if used against them.

- The Telepathic amplifier was designed to grant greater strength to an individual, by focusing a telecrystalline on exclusively the wearer, thereby increasing only their abilities rather than simply those nearby. However this relies on the method of wiring and design of the necklace, damage to which would simply allow the telecrystalline to revert to it’s normal behaviors
- Off switch: Taji has an off switch to disable it’s amplification.

- Due to the nature of the amplifier relying more on the wearer and the telecrystalline, it can get it’s energy simply by being worn and as a result is more difficult to detect as an actual device, and makes it harder for it to be damaged by EMP or ION weaponry.
- Off switch: Just as the off switch is a safety mechanism for Taji, it could pose a serious danger to Xerek.
- Could probably be broken by most weaponry, and could only really sustain glancing blows of most things. Lightsabers, direct blaster fire, and strong impacts could break it. Any full cut would mean that the telecrystalline would revert to normal behavior and not be limited to just the wearer.
- The main piece with the jewel, if damaged, would likely require replacement or considerable work as it wouldn’t fit the necklace properly and may not function as intended.
