Description: The OR-1SM is an attempt to bring a much more sophisticated target computer in the starships' market with the idea of providing technology that should be answering the age the galaxy is in currently.

After numerous complaints that the old targeting computer seems like ancient technology and its design hinders piloting capabilities, Rohlan Verd contemplated on the idea of combining this 'ancient looking' technology with a modern one - holoprojection. The idea is that the pilot does not have to switch his focus too much as the holoprojections appear on the perfect spot for the pilot's view. The holoprojections are movement interactive if need be and the pilot can change their position with ease. Moreover, they give all sorts of information about the targetted ship that previous targeting computer provides such as speed, distance and etc.

The targeting computer can be switched to the classical on-screen view if desired by the user, making the product quite flexible to user wants and needs.

The major advancement that the OR-1SM Super Targeting Computer brings is not the holoprojections but its ability to read patterns of ships. During battle, it records the various ships the sensors detect and attempt to create a pattern of movements that the ships make with the intent of predicting future movements. The more data it gathers i.e the longer the ships are in the vicinity of the sensors the better chance of guessing the next movement of the scanned ships.

Simply said, it attempts to predict the next movements of the ship you might be trying to get your lock on.

The OR-1SM Super Targeting Computer is produced for all types of ships, not only starfighters.
