[GALE WARNING : IN EFFECT]

[‘WITCH WINDS’]

‘We’ve all been watching the writing on the wall. I’m sorry it’s come to this. We’re out of options, out of funding, and out of local support. Silver’s made their case, we made ours, and we’ve lost out. Gale Protocol is now active. Again:

Gale Protocol is now active.

Destroy what you must. Preserve as you need. Look after your families. There is no shame in simply living. Our example and our dream for free, independent space will never flare out. Keep a weather eye on the compass; one day we’ll come home.'

OBJECTIVE: 2 - Dokkalfarsed
Allies: Pending
Enemies: Hopefully not...

One day we’ll come home… Bryce looked over the message displayed on his data pad. He was always amazed how much things changed in the galaxy. Old empires fall, dreams deferred or destroyed. The “Silvers” were beginning a new chapter. With the relinquishing of their ancestral territory they were beginning anew.

Many thought the book on the Levantine had closed, the dreams of starry eyed explorers crushed by the harsh galaxy. But this transmission and many like it lived. Freshly procured by assets of the underground it showed scattered like pieces to a puzzle the embers of the Levantine still glowed.

Three strong leads had come from their acquired data, leads the montly crews of the coalition now followed. Hoping to find kindred spirits and the means to help both those lost and those still living. He was chasing Sanctum Fleet, or what remained of it. Last intel had them entering a seldom explored area of space.

Locations

(1) Susellus - As SJO pulls out ORC has discovered a massive stash of Levantine gear retired to the planet early in the transition from the time of the SC, to the SJO. Native population does not know how use it but not willing to part with it easily as they feel it is their only defense.
***Skulduggery option

(2) Using decoded intel from the SJO the outback has tracked a long lost Levantine Sanctum Fleet to an as yet uncharted system. Early probes have transmitted limited data before suddenly going silent…

Discovery of Dokkalfarsed: Bring on the space dwarfs people!

***Diplomat, scientist, social option, or conflict if you roll that way.

(3) Enemy - Ta'Jar Blood Gang

SJO Prison Station Near ossus - http://starwarsrp.net/topic/116396-the-crawl-tse-vs-sjo - Prisoners run facility after the TSE attach and are staging pirate raids with ceased http://starwarsrp.net/topic/63036-frontier-class-corvette and ,http://starwarsrp.net/topic/61997-meltemi-class-patrol-frigate taken from the local defense forces in the area.

To compound the issue - Oswalf station - Without the protection of the SJO has been looking for a new home and seeing the support offered to the Kathol academy they have decided to move operations galactic south. Issue is it is currently under attack from said pirates above as they look to expand their operation at the expense of the academic station.

*** Combat option, both space and boarding. (Pirate Pew Pew! and take back the LLA!)

Enemies: thar be pirates

“Oh, watch the Academy, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.” Jared Starchaser paced through the halls. He, unlike his father and sister, remained in the greater galaxy following Coren’s exodus. Where his father needed to run and hide, Jared, well, he didn’t.

And yes, he knew his father wouldn’t call it hiding. He’d call it a ‘strategic retreat’ or some other such non-sense. He knew what it was about, finding the Starchaser place in the galaxy. Finding the way for his answers, and how he can better help the galaxy.

Some goal that was. Jared shook his head and grabbed his flight helmet. “You two, with me.” He grabbed his sidearm from his hip holster, the black flight suit of a TIE pilot on. “We’ve got people trying to move in after the Silvers have vacated. We need to make sure any civilians who are on their way out can get out of here. And hope to hell someone comes in.”

She was here with small task force, to help the outback secure the an old Levantine fleet. She had housecarls with her, as well as her infantry and pioneers and scouts. The scouts had gone out to start the search for the ships, with what information they had. The Pioneers where having hard job, getting the base working, and keeping the vehicles in use, as they had a number of personal carriers and tanks here to look after as well. The infantry was meanly securing the base and primitars of it, till the scouts report back. Housecarls where relaxed around the HQ they did not expect trouble, so where not worried by it.

She had finally got all the initial scout reports done, and then head off to see Bryce. She head to where he was located, and gave him datapad with all the current scout information on it. I hope this give you clues, to what we are looking for. She gave him a smile as she hand the data pad to him. She was dressed in her dueling armour as a precaution which was normal for when she was off world, and not dressed in santa dress. Which was something she was still embarrassed by, that she gotten that drunk she fell asleep with him, and does not remember a thing.

Between her several duties onboard, Janick realized that managing the ship's futures portfolio was the easy part. Especially since those laminanium futures were pretty profitable in their own right, she was able to bring the portfolio's value from 5 billion to, well, a lot more than that. It was a risky business move, but the financial benefits were well worth it. Keeping the hangar crew motivated was not easy, especially when combat sorties were scarce these days. But when the next operation involved flying to a location codenamed Doffalkarsed, now was time to find out whether the motivational tips on her reading list were working properly. A few moments prior to dropping out of hyperspace, she had another command to give to the hangar crew, to make sure that all fighters were ready to fly by the moment the Verdict drops out of hyperspace. Fueling being already done, ordnance usually went after.

"All units, load proton rockets: that ought to enable us fighting whatever pirates there could be from long range and reduce risks from enemy point-defense"

Go with the Zeltron, they said.

Protect Oswaft, they said.

It will be fun, they said.

At this point Wyatt wasn't sure if he should kick their arse or his own for going along with it. There was something about being pinned down in the middle of a pirate ship that took all the humor out of a situation. Four corridors, Perl and him occupied one, the other three were loaded with about three-four pirates and their guns. Back wasn't an option, they had just sealed that bulk-door just before more reinforcements could come in and kark 'em in the arse.

What else?

Oh, right, he was running out of ammo. "Perl, throw me that ammo bag, will ya." He mumbled while cutting off some tape with his teeth and binding the burn of his shoulder with it.

It stung, but better than to leave it exposed and everything that came with it.

A charge burst down the corridor and another set of pirates were burned to a crisp from the implosion. Rigged frag mines he had put up, right before those fethers decided to storm their place.

Only reason they weren't pulling pirates out of their ears.

Yet.

Objective Two

The Bondara shuddered as she emerged from hyperspace. Something clanged against the superstructure. Well, that didn’t sound right. Jethro frowned and scratched at the watchcap holding back a mess of unruly dark hair shot through with gray.

He pushed a button on the comm.

“Hey Volc, we used those newfangled magnetic clamps to strap down our gear in the hold, right?”

“Uuh, magnetic clamps?” Replied the soft spoken rock giant, “No magnetic clamps here. Oooh, unless you mean the ones Phlox lost during dice.”

“What?”

“Dice. It’s a game of chance common to humanoid species that relies on probabilities and-“

Jethro placed a palm over his face. It’d be fine. The salvaging equipment would be ok. They could still get the job done.

* * *

“How’re we supposed to get the job done with that?” Amaryllis gestured toward the crumpled wreck of their salvaging equipment. KO’d after a collision with the Bondara’s bulkhead.

Jethro sighed and checked his chrono. Not even Taungsday yet. It was going to be one of those weeks.

Somehow, Joza had still clung onto the romantic idea of swashbuckling pirates. It didn’t matter how many times she fought them, but like so many of her lovers she was always left disappointed by them in the end.

Seriously, a bloody skull as their insignia? Could these guys get any more cliché?

Her good eye dipped into the peripheral of her vision for just a moment. “You good over there McMan?” Refocusing on the door, she kicked the ammo bag over to him before loading another cartridge into her pistol. It was harder to fight with one of her eyes karked but she was already here.

Joza had a soft spot for the Silvers, still keeping loose yet friendly ties with them. Ossus was a soft spot and these pirate guys were slaving scum so she was more than happy to lend a hand. She just hoped that the rest of The Outback was faring better!

The charge that had gone off bought them another forty-five seconds at most before there were more footsteps outside the door. Pinned as they may be, the Outback wasn’t known for throwing in the towel when times got tough.

Green eyes narrowed before she called out “McMan!” before ducking behind a crate as the bulk door went from the force of an explosion and the shooting started again. From one hand she released a pair of tiny stun grenades shaped like jeweler’s pearls, sending them rolling on the ground towards the entrance.

The B-Zero took a tight turn downwards as a laser cannon began firing at her. Everything shook from the hits it scored yet the woman kept her cool. This ship was no gunship or freighter she was used to flying in battles like this. No this one was more agile and energetic yet packed quite the sting. "How long are you two going take getting those guns offline. I can't keep entertaining them for much longer. Chit there are a few of em out here, and they seem to like my fancy flying so much that their firing there loads all over me." She said jokingly while concentrating and keeping a watchful eye on the shooting patters.

The wings of the B-zero spun around the cockpit so it was vertical as she turned to make an attack run. "John right? keep them off me for three minuets lets take one of these schutta out." A clunk from a proton bombs shifted into position. Once more the wings would rotate around levelling the ship out as it sped over the bow of the adjacent ship that Joza and her buddy was in. "Has someone got my eta on the Ancoran fleet?" she asked over the open channel hoping they had contacted ahead."

The ship lurched into hyperspace behind the rest of them. Having been in the Outerim by their selves for a while it was nice to be back with the rest of the Coalition. He remembered the days back when it was just the Kathol Outback, but it's definitely grown since the days were that first happened, and he's changed a lot too. Kept him a lot busier in the last few years. Then when they hit their target and lurched back into normal space he saw the first engagements between the Ta'jar and the Coalition break out between the two lines.

"Just three minutes eh Swift? I'll give you five for some wiggle room and 10 because your going to need it." He said standing on the bridge of the cruiser as he sent out their only squadrons of fighters to start hitting their targets. Then he looked over at the main gunners and gave them a nod to start lighting up the enemy fighters with AA fire. As soon as the nod went the large fire from the ship began to be heard as the green shots burst from the side of the hull hitting fighters as he stood watching through the viewscreen. "No clue, but let's keep the pain train going on these scum."

Objective: Remind the Outer Rim Coalition that their Corellia Digital gear is still under warranty
Secondary Objective: Kick ass and take names
Tertiary Objective: Buy [member="Bryce Bantam"] a beer

After the formation of the Silver Sanctum Coalition, Corellia Digital had been contracted by the Sanctum to modernize and standardize telecommunications in the Tingel Arm. As part of that effort, the company had invested in a university affiliated research center at the Levantine Astronautical Academy on Oswaft Station. Corellia Digital had opened up a Corellia Digital Store on the station, partnering to take over many of the functions of the Academy Bookstore.

When the company later spun off a defense contracting subsidiary, developing and testing droid starfighters, they had established their shipyard in orbit of Laekia with the main corporate office on Oswaft Station.

Suffice to say, Oswaft Station had become something of an investment to the company by this point in time.

So when the Silver Jedi had announced that they were abandoning their worlds in order to allow them greater freedom and civil liberties, the board of directors had been very concerned for the security of the company's assets around Laekia. The Levantine contingent still on Oswaft Station had been concerned as well, prompting the move.

Sor-Jan had supported them, even though it was going to be hell to un-feth the books for shipments to Laekia and Oswaft Station now, and tried to maintain a respectful distance as the managers of Oswaft Station took what steps they deemed appropriate for their own safety and well-being.

Then, the pirates decided to show up and show out.

That's when the telecomm decided it was time to reach out and touch someone.

The earliest warning was of a large mass undergoing reversion from hyperspace. The restored flagship of the Old Republic snapping into sight as the Venator-class star destroyer slid back into real-time from velocities more than point-five past lightspeed. As the ship settled back into normal space-time, power from the Firemane collossus reactor was being transferred to the ship's turbolaser batteries.

Attack the headquarters of a Tier 5 company's defense subsidiary. That ought to work out well for you.

Soon, additional points were lighting up com-scan with indications of additional reversions taking place with multiple entries into the system from hyperspace. First a frigate, a ship of the line from the Levantine Sanctum that had found its way into Corellia Digital's inventory through connections with Silk Holdings. Then, a Jast frigate fresh from the shipyards over Exocron, followed soon after by a second. Then a third, this one a support frigate that immediately began analyzing the communications frequencies in use and developing options for jamming them.

Corellia Digital had arrived for tech support.

Can you hear me now?

"For feth's sake wha-" Eyes widened as he looked at the door and then scrambled, basically flying over the crate and hugging it tight just a moment before those fethers breached their own bulk-door. Wyatt had been counting on them wanting to minimize the damage to their own ship, but it looked like they were far too interested in them to just take things easy. Feth. As the fire on their position increased the voice of Swift interjected any witty response he could come up with.

:: Lil' bit busy here, Swift, I think these fethers are in love with Perl with the ferocity they coming at us ::

Tape done, bullets locked in tight of his gun, there wasn't much else to do here besides the quip and the fight.

And he was all out of quips.

"Cover my arse, Perl, I will shoot us a way outta here." Her eye might have prevented her from doing head-shots and other crap, but laying suppressing fire couldn't be too difficult. It was literally point and squeeze the trigger hard enough to blast out like... a thousand rounds. Hopefully. Though somehow Wyatt doubted she had that amount of ammo. There were a couple things he could do. TK? Kark off. Magic? Feth's that? But the gun and the bullet?

That was something 'McMan' could understand.

Joza pushed herself up and started shooting, Wyatt used that. Eyes were closed now, he was in sync with the moment, with his gun, with the bullets inside - he felt each and every one of them - and then McLaren turned the corner and every bullet that was shot?

Hit.

Through a crate, through barricades, he didn't aim with his eye.

He aimed with his heart.

Far away, the Fire-maned Lady in a wheelchair was being brought up to speed. "In summation, the Silver Jedi are enacting a full-scale withdrawal. The local systems governments have been given total independence...and the responsibility to defend themselves from foreign threats. Instead, the Jedi have planted their flag on Kashyyyk. As of now, it remains unclear whether they asked the Wookiees for their consent," Maerys Medea, her Eldorai secretary, spoke.
"So 'Team Dark Side' gave them a bloody nose and they're running away instead of womaning up. Cowardice, lack of institutional will, lack of will in general," Siobhan said commented cynically. The stroke had left her feeble and infirm, but her mind was still sharp. After spending several weeks moping, she'd decided to make the most of it.
"So it appears, ma'am. To be fair, the Silver Jedi attempted to garner support from the other Jedi orders."
"They should have known that nothing useful gets achieved at conclaves. Besides, they ran away at Coruscant. Anyway, continue."
"Yes, ma'am. While the Silver Jedi pullout has been very orderly, their departure leaves a vacuum. We expect a rise in piracy, brushfire wars and the Sith to make a push to reclaim their old worlds. The OSJ spent vast sums of money on a war fleet that includes a number of battlecruisers, though they may have difficulty maintaining it given their significantly reduced revenue basis." Maerys, stop lampshading the fact that the site has no economy system.
"I'm too old to get excited about this nonsense. Every empire dies sooner or later. I've outlived a bunch. Some more competent than others. Compile a study assessing the future viability of our outposts in former OSJ space. Include economic and fiscal profitability, security concerns, our relations with the local governments and so on. And I want the military council to put our forces on high alert. Project Future is on schedule?"
"As you wish, m'Lady. And yes it is."
"By the way, do you know where all my cigarettes went? I recall liking Onderonian."
"You quit."
"I quit?"
"Yes. Furthermore, without wanting to put too fine a point on it, I doubt smoking would be conducive to your recovery. Doctor Osway has prohibited it and in medical matters...tyranny reigns."

“They’ve got a funny way of showing it,” She quipped back, squeezing the trigger of her pistol a few times as the grenades continued to roll forward. They were a favorite of hers, designed not only to be compact but completely smooth and concealable.

Was harder to aim than usual what with the lack of depth perception but she’d been a good marksman with two eyes.

The fire was converging on her as she covered the warden but she wouldn’t be able to hold them back from him much longer. “Get us out of here yesterday, McMadden.”

The grenades went off but it didn’t freeze the pirates in place as she’d expected to. Instead of releasing a stun, they discharged copious amounts of pink glitter.

Her eyes widened a tic then immediately narrowed. This bought her a few seconds of confusion to catch one of them in the torso, but the shooting began again and one of the two remaining pirates sent a slug into her shoulder.

Cue an amount of cursing she’d never allow around her child.

Pain surged through her arm as the pistol clattered to the floor. “C’mere red!” One of them growled, teeth grit in malice as he made to grab her.

“No thank you.She grunted, surging forward and crouching to meet him at the last moment and twist the vibroblade in her other hand into his gut.

Hopefully McLarson had found a way out by now.

Bryce studied the findings, and they were not promising. The last report Santum fleet came right before this uncharted system. Long range scans showed it lay in a thick nebula. He had few options, he could either send the scouts further in, but he had a feeling, something told him their was possible danger ahead.

"I don't like it Elaine, this feels off, like we are knocking on a door and the home's owner doesn't want to let us in. I'm not taking the fleet in, order all forces to form up around the main carrier and wait for further orders. Gather an elite group of your best house Carls and pathfinders, then meet me on the main hanger bay. We are going in alone with Zero."

Sanya laughed under her pilot helmet. "Well Mclaran seems love is just in the air." She said actually enjoying herself. The proton bombs would launch from the bomb bays with luck it would do serious damage to the life support. "Bombs away schutta." Sanya could feel the explosion behind her as it shook the ship. As she passed the aft of the ship her B-zero came under fire once again.

The ship would move erratically weaving through the laser turrets fire and other ships as cover. When there was clear sight if her target she could see the large hole in the top. No ambient lights light the inside of the ship any longer. "John three minuets was plenty. Thanks." The woman was grateful to have support out in the field like most that support could swing a battle.

The thing with the galaxy was there were so many fething people. All over the damned place. And unlike on the Fringes, the Core just went crazy. Though, the Fringe, Rim, and Wild Space all had their fair share of groups competing. What he was here for though, was to help rescue some people he had worked with. People he was dealing with during his time in the Alliance, and as an instructor at the Levantine Astro Academy.

The pilot, normally a fan of Sienar/Santhe equipment was in his typical fighter, a Rassilon created by Silk, dark gunmetal gray and green, Coren was falling into his implant to help with what he needed done here. The ship, along with a pair of Exalts, one of the TIE models that moved with Warbird Wing, were following the pilot out of hyperspace.

“Stick close, we’ll make contact with the academy, but anyone who is hitting the Academy or her ships is free target.” The Starchaser ordered to his wingmen. He rolled the elite fighter and checked the state of his weapons. They were warm.

Time to make it hot.

Objective 3:
Allies: ORC Pilots
Enemies: Pirates, Avast.

The trick for Jared was he was still INSIDE the station. He was feeling a few familiar thoughts out there in the void, his father for one. That was… unexpected. He figured his father and sister were out along the Fringe somewhere in the Unknown Regions, chasing down former Sith Lords and eliminating them, he wasn’t expecting them to be back, well, ever.

Not that Coren wasn’t a fighter, but he got pretty… focused and would chase the cat until it was down. And then find the next one.

Making his way around the corner, he was greeted with blaster fighter.

“Feth me running.” He cussed as he dove across the hall, his blaster in hand. He looked to the two opposite of him and nodded. “Hang tight a second… Fethers got us pinned.”

He just wanted to get into his damned fighter and do his job.

Taking a deep breath, he turned the corner and squeezed off a few shots.

Alright, five of them. A well placed shield from me… He considered as he checked his commlink.

“So, anyone in space? If you can clear that freighter? That’d be swell.”

With the Verdict reverting to realspace, and another of the ORC's battlecruisers arriving on-scene at Dokkalfarsed, the Libita, the captain of the battlecruiser ordered battle stations across the ship. Janick boarded her craft, with all 60 pilots doing so as well. Detecting pirates was only the first part of the engagement, and it was quickly found that, while they were within long-range turbolaser range, they were outside standard turbolaser range. It was only a question of time until Janick, Griet and the others will actually acquire targets for the rockets soon to be fired, and the others swiftly took off, away from the mothership, in an attempt to fight the pirates. Then again, what sort of pirates would be able to call upon four separate cruisers, that is, one Xo'Xaan and three Sadows, alongside 10 squadrons of TIE/LN fighters? Unless, perhaps, the Ta'jar Blood Gang had friends among other factions? Like Hutts? Or someone else entirely? As all five squadrons prepared to take off in another combat sortie, Janick opened comm channels to her fellow pilots:

"Attention all flight personnel, please report to your commanders immediately. You'll be briefed by your squadron leaders en-route" the captain of the Verdict announced afterward.

"All squadrons, this is Alchemist Actual. Enchantress Actual shall take two squadrons as a fighter screen, with us harassing the enemy pirate capital ships from long-range using proton rockets. Then we shall quickly fall back to the mothership"

It didn't take long for the enemy to attempt scrambling fighters to meet with three squadrons of shielded fighters that could out-run them; given that those pirates were attempting to overwhelm the Verdict with sheer numbers, she was hoping that the Libita's fighter wing was able to flank the enemy fighter complement. But the enemy fighters were still out of effective gun range from each other; firing a proton rocket at a TIE fighter was a waste, given that their tracking was not very good, better suited for engaging the enemy cruisers at range. With the Verdict's captain choosing to prioritize the enemy Xo'Xaan, presumably the pirate flagship, Janick was beginning to wonder when will the ordnance be fired. But has the time to fall back arrived? Did she actually lead her fellow wingmen in a trap? The pirate fighters were closing in, and that was not good. Not even the lack of shielding in enemy craft would offset the fact that they're outnumbered almost three to one...

Getting back into the fighting reminded him of his old days in the Outback, but that was another lifetime ago...
