Only Girl in the World

Coruscant

Shiny landed quietly near Fallie's house. Nessarose exited the ship, her entire presence decked in False Lightside Aura. This was the depths of the Republic space, and she had no time to open herself up for confrontations. She was here with a very important missions, which was to meet her cousin, Fallon.

It had been too long since she'd seen her cousin last, and the two were best friends. Fallon had instructed Nessarose during her first killing spree when Nessa was four, and things more or less just improved from there. But Fallon had been going through some not so pleasant things, and it was high time to check up on her.

"Fallie?" Nessa asked as she let herself in through the front door, and damned be what Jezabel had to say about it.

A half filled glass of see through liquid stood on the coffee table, Kara in her hands, giving her occasional licks as Fallon cuddled the small dog. She hadn't actually touched her drink yet. Rune was safely curled up on couch beside her. The female deWinter didn't move much other than cuddling her precious pet, remaining perfectly silent just as the rest of the house. It had been empty for some months now. Jezabel had gone, Tabitha was probably off with her or doing Force knew what. Fallon didn't even begin to try to understand her sister, she couldn't. Blonde, emerald green eyes and talking about Jonathan like he was actually good for something. Jonathan deWinter had only one thing left to do in this galaxy as far as she was concerned.

This was of course irrelevant given what was actually on Fallon's mind. It had been months, maybe even a whole year since her miscarriage. It was two weeks less than that since she had found John. For five months after that, she had been sober. She hadn't had a single cigarette. Fallon deWinter was actually clean. And she was doing good, for the most part. Her appetite had been nowhere, of course but she could still force herself to eat. Then she opened her mind to things. She thought she was alright, thought she could go back and be okay. With John on her side, how could she fail? Well, John had left her side again, thinking she was fine. And the demons had come back not long after that. They haunted her. Refused to leave her alone. The alcohol had become her friend again, even the smokes weren't too far from her. She didn't drink as she used to though, oh no. But slowly, it was all coming back to her. She had suffered depression a year and a half ago, it had hit her so hard she drank to keep her numb. All because her fiancé had gone missing. It had led her to lose her child before she even knew she was pregnant. Now it was on her mind again. Kara and Rune of course tried to help, they loved her. Fallon knew that. It was probably them, and only them, at this point that kept her from going off the deep end again. She had to feed them, walk them, show them love. She was all they had right now. She couldn't abandon it. Not even demons could make her forget that.

Rune's head rose abruptly and she could feel his entire body stiffen at her leg. "What is it, baby?" The Sith asked, looking down at him. His head was turned to the doors. She looked up, and there, she spotted her. Her cousin Nessa. Rune jumped to his feet quickly like the faithful watchdog he was. However, he knew Nessa and he liked so instead of barking and showing his teeth, his tale moved happily as he moved towards her, attempting to jump up on two feet, wanting to greet her with a wet dog kiss. Fallon let out a quiet attempt at a chuckle. Her babies could make her laugh still.

Nessarose knew the procedure. She grinned, coming down on a knee, and held her arms out to accept the dogs. She let them lick her face and giggled, rolling with the two on the floor, turning it into a blur of pink and fur, before finally standing up again, just slightly out of her breath.

"Fallie..." she said softly before smiling.

Jumping from where she was, Nessarose landed on the bed, her arms already open to give her cousin a great big Nessa-hug.

Once Nessa was down on her knee, Rune stopped trying to jump up on her. He knew better than that, comig up to her at his normal size, licking the side of her face. Kara made her small little bark, wanting to be included but she was still firmly in Fallon's arms at that time.

Green eyes with brown in them watched as her cousion said her nickname and then jumped to the side, bouncing the sofa ever so slightly as she did. Just as Nessa opened her arms to give her a big hug, Kara jumped out of her arms, attending to give Nessa one too, despite her small shape. Fallon smiled, and picked the dog up with one hand, hugging her cousin with her free one while the small dog stole a lick off of Nessa's un-licked cheek.

"Nessa," Fallon finally said, letting out a tiny sigh of relief as she said it.

"Fallie!" Nessa said again and grinned, falling forward so that her head was atop of her cousin's lap. She made herself comfortable there, lying on her back, feet pointed up at the ceiling.

Finally having gotten comfortable, the girl looked up at her cousin and giggled. "Been a while," she said, "let's go crash a party!"

Again she heard her nickname and smiled just a tiny bit. It was nice to have Nessa beside her, Fallon realized and let the girl settle down, registering her feet in the air. Then she looked down back at the younger deWinter and titled her head slightly.

Nessa made the remark as she giggled about the time before asking her question. Fallon thought about it for a moment. Many years ago, she would have been already on her feet, rushing upstairs and getting dressed. Party was a magic word for the female once. But nowadays, she sat there, silently, wondering.

Did she want to go crash the party? Then she picked up her glass and drank the burning liquid in one go, feeling its sensation as it ran down her throat. The rush of alcohol made the decision for her. "Lets," came out of her mouth, plain and simple. But then she realized, she was not dressed to crash a party. "I need to change first though." Fallon didn't move through, looking down at Nessa, waiting for her to move head head of her lap first before she'd head upstairs.
