NAME: Gara Nets 'Onith'

FACTION: N/A

RANK: N/A

SPECIES: Sith Pureblood

AGE: 42

SEX: Female

HEIGHT: 188 cm

WEIGHT: 85 kg

EYES: Yellow

HAIR: Black

SKIN: Crimson

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Strengths:
Peerless Training: Gara has extensive training under the Force masters of the Rakatan Infinite Empire
Arcane Comprehension: The Force is a tool like any other, but the Rakata of old had a particularly effective grasp of its power, some of the knowledge of their techniques has been passed on to their Hounds
Honed Cunning: Having witnessed first hand the power plays of her superiors, Gara has learned to play the ancient game of politics to her advantage

Weaknesses
Archaic Force: Gara's connection with the Force is strong, but what was is no longer and she has difficulty connecting with the modern Force, without a connection to some older Force she is much like an untrained acolyte
Obsessions Abound: Gara has ambition beyond measure, she is obsessed with the return of the Builders, with regaining her power, and returning to what was her's; just to name a few
Technology of Old: Gara has little experience with the new technology of the present and is often flustered with its use, when exposed to a new piece of technology she is liable to first treat it like the Builders' in regards to controlling it
Language Barriers Abound: Onith, being indoctrinated into the Builder hierarchy, only speaks their language, and understands only marginal amounts of other languages, she relies heavily on translators of form or another
Identity Disturbed: Indoctrinated into the Infinite Empire so completely, Gara thinks in terms of herself as Onith, though she responds to the name Gara, it means nothing to her

APPEARANCE:
Gara is member of the Sith species, one of the pre-hybridization stock. She stands just shy of one hundred and eighty-nine centimetres and her muscular build puts her in at a heavy 85 kilograms. The various tendrils and spines common to her race have been cut as close to the skin as possible, severed with imprecise strikes that have left her obvious scars where the growths should have been. She has bright yellow eyes that almost glow from their sockets in a face with a slightly longer nose than is normal for her species. Along the left side of her face remain burns from her early training. As with all Force Hounds, Gara has been branded in many places with the aurabesh symbol designating her 'Onith.'
She is rarely seen outside of her armour, a replica of the ancient garb made for by her master. The robes cover her entire body and the only identifying mark is the symbol 'Onith' engraved across the chest.

BIOGRAPHY:

Tale 1
Prologue:
Everyone has a beginning; some glorious, others ignominious, Onith's origins go back to the age of the Infinite Empire some 37,000 years ago.
Gara had a fairly average life for a Force Hound. She was discovered by the Rakata after they had managed to infiltrate Korriban and took her to be one of their agents. She was trained and eventually given to Predor Nal'Thus when he was granted command of his own army. Under her new master, Onith spent most of her life acting as little more than an enforcer, Nal'Thus being concerned for his own life and power. When she was eventually sent to hunt for Force users, her Rakata master had made enough enemies that he was killed in her absence. Upon her return, the Hound was handed over to Nal'Thus' successor, and killer, Xre-Kroth. Answering to a new master, Onith found herself in the unfamiliar position of messenger and commander. Unlike Nal'Thus, who had always been reluctant to share secrets or power, it seemed Xre-Kroth was more than happy to give knowledge to those near him. He taught her some abilities considered more esoteric than the Force Hounds needed to know, techniques that allowed her to manipulate reality and others that turned her into a veritable juggernaut on the battlefield.

Xre-Kroth may have had some rather odd notions about what purpose the lesser species served and for that he was put into command of a backwater world in the Infinite Empire, ordered to do nothing more than send out his Hound to find more Force users and keep his planet in check. Onith proved less than capable in identifying Force users, in the five years she explored the galaxy she failed to discover a single individual for her efforts. Xre-Kroth decided, much to the consternation of his peers, that Onith would serve as his personal overseer of the local populace and to ensure their utter loyalty, answering to him directly. For her part, Onith was greatly ridiculed and mocked by her fellow Force Hounds for her apparent failures, although a few expressed their sympathies with her being ruled by a rather unorthodox master.

Thus began a period of her life most boring and uneventful. The world she was to oversee had little in the way of interesting locations or architecture, however, Onith soon found an intriguing proposal passing through the working class. They sought to build a monument to the Infinite Empire, a ship worthy of the Rakata gods. After consulting Xre-Kroth, the natives were given permission to coordinate with several other worlds to obtain the necessary materials and supplies. The end result of a decade of construction was a starship of immense proportions with a hull of Neuranium.

The maiden voyage of the vessel saw Xre-Kroth prepare to take the craft to Lehon, but during the final preparation for the jump to hyperspace a rebellion occurred and hundreds of the crew members turned on the Rakata and their minions. Onith led the Rakatan warriors against the insurgency, capturing the bridge and front end of the ship before it jumped to hyperspace. She attempted to contact Xre-Kroth through her meditation but heard nothing. She gave orders for the soldiers to continue to clear the ship and deal with all rebels while she intended to establish communication with her master.

There had been a singular, glaring mistake in the construction of the craft that had gone all but unnoticed until the captain ordered the ship to leave hyperspace. It lacked that key component that protected it from unintended temporal incidents, relativistic shields. When the ship emerged from hyperspace, an hour later according to their time, it had been far longer for the galaxy. Indeed, they arrived in Lehon to find a total lack of Rakata ships. Unaware of the situation, the captain was concerned they had missed an adjustment to the meeting coordinates and set coordinates to jump to a common bivouac for Rakata leaders and starships. By the time they had reached their destination, many more years had passed and they were perturbed to find strange ships in orbit of the world. The captain initiated communications and discovered that something indeed had gone wrong. After discussing a trade agreement for new parts, the captain made another jump to a nearby system. Over the course of a decade for the crew, but many thousands of years for the rest of the galaxy, the captain stopped at various points to pick up new crew members or supplies from what traders discovered the massive vessel before making another jump and pushing onwards through time. Sometimes the ship would spend years sitting in a given time, bringing in more trade and resources, and other times it would spend less than a day.

Onith had fallen into a deep meditation during the interrum, searching for her master and yet knowing that he must have perished in the rebellion. She awoke from her stupor a decade since the ship had started its first jump. She spoke with the captain briefly before being called to protect the ship from scavengers hoping to board and steal from the ship. Disoriented by the change in the ship's interior and the reconstruction ongoing, the Force Hound almost lost herself in the weirdness. Nonetheless, she managed to find her way to the breached hull point and, with the assistance of a squad of irregulars, repulsed the invaders. Not content to let them escape, Onith charged the enemy ship, but found herself strange disconnected from the Force as she stepped out of the vessel and was quickly subdued by the enemy. The ship jumped to hyperspace soon thereafter. Encased in carbonite, Onith changed hands several times until she ended up in an off-world collection where she remained until her unlikely, and unforeseen rescue.

Awakening: Trapped, Onith was unexpectedly rescued by strangers in the modern era. Finding herself in a new galaxy, the Force Hound began a journey of discovery as she attempted to learn about the galaxy as it is and what had happened to her masters.
Awoken by a task force of Jedi and commandos, Onith found herself on the receiving end of an impromptu rescue mission. The collector's warehouse, a veritable bunker, was well defended, but its security teams proved inadequate in response time and effort where the Jedi struck swiftly. Perhaps guided by the Force, the team had found Onith's carbonite cell soon upon entering the labyrinthian structure and, with no small amount of ingenuity on their part, effected a strong exit. Brief conversations and revelations afforded Onith scant information on the Galactic scene. But one thing had been quite certain: The Infinite Empire was no more. Having barely had time to come to terms with this rather world-shattering discovery, Onith was given passage a Galactic Alliance world, as well as access to a protocol droid that could roughly translate her speech.

Realizing that the sheer scale of time passed was far beyond any normal variety, Onith turned to ancient historical sites in the hopes that they might hold the knowledge she sought.

Questing: With her freedom assured and studies of the galaxy revealing to her the nature of her history, Onith turns to further exploration in an effort to identify a method of overcoming her Force weakness. This leads her to the study of dark magics and ancient rituals.

Accumulation: Confident in her abilities, and finding herself more capable of attracting followers, Onith begins to lay down the foundations for a scheme to revive the extinct Infinite Empire, a task which requires a great deal of planning and effort to ever hope to meet.

Apotheosis: Having developed a significant powerbase, Onith, at last, focuses her resources on the reinvigorating of the Infinite Empire; she must break the barrier of time.

Denouement: The greatest ritual Onith could compose was not enough and her failure sits as a stain upon her soul. Broken by a multitude of revelations, Onith leaves behind her hopes for grandeur and a return to what was, feeling a black emptiness in her purpose.
