Excepted Life cycle of a Oneiroi is about 1000 but some even make it that far, most Oneiroi never make it pass 10 human yrs of life,Oneiroi are the product of stolen/spliced DNA to create artificial dragon the equivalent of 1 dragon year is 10 in humans.
Mannerism:
Living solely as subconscious in deep cryo-cycle stasis pod the small group of Oneiroi people. Are either inactive or wondering the world looking for there purpose they inhabit a frozen planet devoted of life aside from droids intact or half eaten by other Oneiroi who either died or left the planet.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Oneiroi were never born they were made.
Around 22,000 BBY, during one of the galaxy's early waves of scientific arrogance, an unnamed faction of geneticists began experimenting with artificial life creation. Their goal: to manufacture a species drawn from the raw power of dragons. creatures they believed represented both primal instinct and absolute control. To accomplish this, they abducted and harvested genetic material from rare draconic beings across the stars, including one specimen from the ancient Kiev'arian race known for their unique Force connection and reptilian traits. The result was the Oneiroi a hybrid of science and myth, created not for peace or legacy, but for function.
They were designed on the now-extinct world of Mizanrs, a planet buried beneath layers of snow and silence. The Oneiroi never saw their creators' faces. From inception, they were suspended in cryo-cycle stasis pods, kept alive but unconscious, their thoughts drifting in a dreamlike limbo. The scientists overseeing the project struggled with stability issues, particularly in individuals marked by cracked or irregular horns. These defects often led to extreme emotional volatility, psychic dissonance, or violent episodes.
In time, the creators deemed the project a failure. Frustrated and fearful of what they had made, they abandoned the world, leaving their creations frozen and forgotten. For millennia, the Oneiroi remained submerged in icy sleep, their pods deteriorating, their minds aging in dreams.
Eventually, some awoke. Waking into a dead world devoid of creators, of cities, of meaning the Oneiroi were left only with fragments of inherited knowledge: instincts, telepathic pulses, and flashes of language. The surviving few wandered the frost-covered ruins of Mizanrs, encountering malfunctioning droids, the hollowed remnants of others like themselves, or the corpses of those who didn't survive emergence. Cannibalism, madness, and solitude defined the first decades of their existence.
Despite this, the Oneiroi developed into a distinct culture, small and scattered. Due to their unstable lifespans most never surviving past what would be ten standard human years they formed no lasting governments or empires. They learned to communicate through telepathy, retained the Kiev'arian tongue, and developed their own language, Oiri, from subconscious echoes. They wore masks to protect their identities and avoid emotional attachment, wary of forming bonds that time would quickly sever.
Dangerous mutations persist. Horn damage especially long or cracked horns in females, and short or cracked horns in males remains a feared trait, as it often leads to aggression or heightened power. These individuals are respected, feared, or shunned depending on their behavior and their tribe's tradition.
The few that leave Mizanrs do so driven by instinct or inexplicable dreams. While rare in the galaxy, tales of tall, masked dragonkin with glowing horns, acidic breath, and haunting eyes have begun circulating in Outer Rim cantinas and ancient droid recordings. Whether these accounts are truth, myth, or hallucination few can say.
