One part fuel, two parts power, three parts soul crushing labor

Seilois walked down the hallway, the heavy metal box filled with various parts that he could only venture a guess as to their purpose cradled in his arms. It hadn't been surprising when he had been contacted to aid in the construction of a prototype fighter, but he had been expecting to be running guard detail, not act as glorified help. It seemed the contact, one [member="Særa Ayña Savan"] , whose name was truly a mouthful, had found him through resources in the Horde who had, so kindly, referenced him.

Part of the request was for him to bring someone who could aid in the construction since the contact wished to keep the construction quiet as it seems this was going to be a personal starfighter that the contact was going to wave in front of their fellows in show of their superiority for having the best toys. Truly, Seilois would never understand them, but he had done as he was asked and invited one of the few people he, well, their relationship was complicated, but he trusted her more then he did most. Jennifer, or [member="Jen"] , as she preferred to be called. It worked out well as the hidden site was on Coruscant, and while skilled, she was too young and had a shop of her own thus couldn't afford to run around the galaxy at the whim of a contact seeking to have the best toy.

Then there was [member="Judah Dashiell"] , Seilois wasn't quite sure on him as they had not been in each others company for long periods of time, and this was his first time meeting him. He wasn't sure on what kind of man he was, but he seemed an alright sort, at least Seilois wasn't sleeping with one eye open.

Finally reaching his destination, a large hanger with tools strewn around the floor, Seilois dropped the box on a nearby table muttering under his breath, counting on his helmet to keep it muffled, about annoying Mechanic Maidens and pushing their luck.

It had taken some time, but it seemed that Jennifers name was finally out there, at least out there somewhere, possibly only because of a single person, but still, it was interesting to get hired for larger projects. To be fair she had been quite uncertain whether to join in or not, especially after finding out who had referred her to the job givers. She had been contacted regarding the construction of a new type of personal starfighter, secret project and all stationed in a hangar on Coruscant, so it suited her well to join up. She could use some knowledge on handling starfighters anyway.

She just hoped it wouldn't turn out to be a ship capable of blowing up planets or something insane like that...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curently she was standing in the corner of the hangar where they had set up their workbase for the rest of the crew, was it two or one more that would be helping out other than Seilois and herself? She wasn't sure and did not know them either, hopefully they would turn out to be nice people. She had just her returned her old and scratched up datapad into her large cargo trousers filled with various tools as Seilois had entered. She pretended not to notice, simply bended over the main table looking through her new round (ozzy osbourne styled) sunglasses towards the large blueprints of the ship that was lying on it.

As the rough sound of hard plastic hitting metal was heard she looked up through her glasses, spotting Seilois by one of the other tables. Raising from her bendover position she turned her gaze towards Seilois hearing /something/ getting muttered from behind his mask. In response to that, whatever it may have been, she dragged her sunglasses a bit down her nose so she could see above them. "What? ... Did you get the correct bolts?" She asked, perhaps a bit too aggressively

"What? ... Did you get the correct bolts?" Seilois looked over his shoulder at Jennifer, she seemed to have grown up a little since the last he saw her. At least, she seemed better then she was at the time they separated, but that was hardly surprising considering the circumstances of the last visit.

"I believe so," He said looking back in the box, honestly, he was fairly sure he got the right ones... mostly sure. It had been a long time since he had felt so out of his league... in fact, the last time it had happened was when he was working with Jennifer, she had a way of making him feel out-balance. He turned to sit against the table and crossed his arms, "How is it looking?" He asked.

Honestly, if she went into technical talk, he would have no idea what she would talk about, but he would hope she would keep it in laymen terms. Perhaps their other 'associate' would be able to translate for him should the worst occur.

Judah wasn't completely sure about a project on Coruscant. He would have much preferred his own shipyard on Fondor but apparently this project was extremely hush-hush. Knowing it was a starfighter, the salvager had no idea what made it so special. Scant details had been given about the nature of their assignment. Needless to say, he came quite prepared. Bringing along a pair of VCE engineering droids he recently won at auction, his own little plucky astromech Sparky, and an entire rolling box of tools and equipment. More was back on his ship but didnt seem necessary to start pulling everything out before he knew the nature of the job.

"Correct bolts are extremely helpful" Judah said as he walked in, Sparky giving an electronic trill with his agreement.

Setting the rolling box of tools down next to the ship, he searched for his own set of blueprints to study. Being the total nerd he was, Judah had plans to work on the electronics portions of the ship -- communications arrays, holonet, lifesupport and the like. It fell more into his vein of what he did with Salacia on a daily basis and their automaton production. Besides, as a once former Republic starfighter pilot, he had experience in such matters.

"Looks like we got some work to do."

A single large but slender droid with wing-like thruster packs hovered on in to the hangar from outside, IBIS-01 model. It had normally spent its days either controlling the Crystal Heart infrastructure or personally guarding the young Saera, but today, its orders were simply to shuttle to the far off world of Coruscant and find the location of the secret project's construction. As it approached, the hum of throttling repulsorlifts and a muffled hum of small TIE thrusters gave out, a slight warm breeze flowing out from underneath as the almost-one-ton droid floated aloft.
It raised its arm slowly, one of the apparatuses on its head projecting a hologram as its remote uplink lines began uploading data to the local computer or datapad. Every packet of data uploaded included blueprints, schematics, logistics and other important information on the creation of what was known as the Stargoddess Project.
As fortune would have it, the three present today were lucky enough to be contracted to construct the very first live model, to be used as the basis for Ri'ess Regal Drives' extremely limited construction of five more fully-functional elite fighters. There was far less risk than there was building in their own orbital ring, as there was no telling what spies for other corporations, governments or even the Confederacy themselves would do just to get ahold of grade-AAA spacecraft technology.

"How is it looking?" Seilois had asked upon sitting up against one of the many tables stationed in the corner of the hangar, the thought was that the rest of the hangar would be used for construction of the ship. She pushed her glasses up her nose again, glancing towards the box to confirm it was indeed the correct bolts. Afterwards Jennifer took her datapad up from one of the many pockets attached to her trousers.

"Correct bolts..." She checked it off her needed item list onthe datapad, she would be taking care of the hull and when the prototype was nearly done, paint it with the help of her Rodian friend Cindo. Jennifer looked towards Sei: "And all in all it is some very expensive stuff we're working with. So. Be careful with it, Clumsy" she smiled slightly at her own remark, watching as data from the Stargoddess Project was uploaded onto her device, making a small jump to sit down on the table she stood by.

"Correct bolts are extremely helpful" A new voice was heard resounding through the hangar, followed by a trill, obviously from a droid. Nah, she had not been acquainted with this person, so from her sitting positionn a table in the corner she raised her left hand, which she was also holding her datapad in, in a greeting to the man.

"That's a lot of droids, huh?" She had never really had the chance to work with droids, now was probably the time and from what she had seen and heard they were quite remarkably good at what they did.

"Correct bolts..." Seilois closed his eyes and nodded; well, at least he could tell one bolt from the other which was a minor accomplishment, "And all in all it is some very expensive stuff we're working with. So. Be careful with it, Clumsy,"

"Very funny," he replied dryly, "I shall do my best to not break your new toys."

"Correct bolts are extremely helpful" Occupied with his conversation, he hadn't been paying attention to his surroundings which was not common for him, so he nearly drew his pistol in surprise. Seeing the man walk in with the droids, he connected that it was probably their last teammate, and he was glad to see the droids, it meant he would't have to carry everything himself.

"That's a lot of droids, huh?" Seilois glanced back at Jennifer, "It's a large job," he said as a way of answer, but he would be keeping his eye on them. Just because he was working with this new man didn't mean he trusted him or wouldn't watch for treachery.

Seilois glanced at one of the datapads on the table, seeing it light up as it got the orders and schematics from their illusive client.

"A lot of droids?" To someone who worked with droids day in and day out, it didn't seem like many at all. To Judah, he had brought too few for the project and was a little concerned with any issues that may arise from doing so. Like the masked one said, it was a decent sized job. One that was going to be tedious. Elite vessels demanded time and attention. A bit of finesse as well. "I suppose it may be a little overkill for such a task."

Popping open his rolling tool storage, Judah looked at the other two who were to be helping with the task. It seemed they knew one another, judging from the banter going on within the room. Setting his datapad at an angle on the tool storage, he started pulling together small pieces of metal for the cockpit framework. He'd need to get started there first before he could inset any type of components. Judah set up a space in the corner, away from the main framework, designing his cockpit console on the floor with chalk and placing metal over it, dry fitting his design.

"You two must know one another."

"Very funny," Seilois had said, getting an almost immediate answer from Jennifer "I thought so."
She did indeed need to get to work on the hull, but everything needed to match up after all, so the raw work would have to wait for a bit, and with that thought in mind she jumped down form the table, starting to tab through the datapad in her hand as she quickly started to march towards Judah, halting abruptly as his voice echoed through the hangar yet again.

"You two must know one another."

They had met before, yes... She knew his name, or did she, those bounty hunters always had so many nicknames, it was difficult to figure out, but well. To some extend yes. Was some time since she last had seen him, which was to one extend good considering what had happened last. Right? Jennifer adjusted her sunglasses a bit with one hand, the other holding the datapad as she turned on her feet to look towards Seilois.

"I suppose you could call it something along the lines of that. Yes? Why asking?"

Seilois remained where he was, leaning against the table as there was very little he could offer them until it became obvious in what they needed, such as carrying, wielding, or some other physical activity that didn't require a vast amount of techno know how. This early in the development, there wasn't a whole lot he could do besides fetch them what they required and stay out of the way as much as possible.

"You two must know one another," Normally, he would be a little suspicious of any personal questions, but this seemed to be a fairly curiosity based question, and he couldn't fault him for that. Alone with two strangers, who seemed to know each other would prompt that question from Seilois if the situation was reversed. Plus, he was a little curious as to what Jennifer would say regarding it.

When she turned to look at him, he was curious as to what she was looking for, but he didn't have to wait long for her answer,"I suppose you could call it something along the lines of that. Yes? Why asking?"

Something along those lines? Interesting way to phrase it. Seilois offered her a shrug since she seemed to have it under control.

@Jen @Judah Dashiell

Jennifer adjusted her sunglasses yet again (yea, considering it now she should definitely have bought them ina size smaller) as she saw the shrug from Seilois, a tiny almost cheeky smile lighted up her face. With that she turned towards Judah again, starting to walk towards him once more, this time not stopping if he was to speak, giving him time to answer her former question as she approached.

Having finally reached him she glanced towards her datapad, hastily reading it over. Talking fairly coinfident and with little if any uncertainty heard in her voice, unusual considering she was talking with a much older and more known engineer: "So. I'll take care of the main hull. Though, I need to know the proportions of the cockpit you're designing. Also. Would it be possible to lend one of these... Ermm."

She looked over the droids that were stationed besides or close to Judah, her eyes glancing over them one by one, as if she searched for a number or any other text for that matter written on them, being unable to find any of this she instead decided to use the less complicated word:
"Ermm. Machines, Droids. Yes. Help me with welding the hull. Mhm? You can't reason with the speed of these things." Being the first time she had met Judah and Judah her, he would possibly have noticed a few odd things about her. At first she would probably have looked just as much human as the next gal, but on closer inspection one would have been able to see an odd tail, nose with curves, almost similar to some flutes in a way. All these traits were due to the fact she was half ryn, furthermore she had a tattoo under her right eye. All of this was of course merely observations one was able to make, not that it mattered much considering their given task. And neither did it seem like Jennifer took any of these things into consideration when talking to Judah.

"So?"

"No reason" Placing another piece of metal on his outline, Judah looked up to Sparky, his astromech and essentially first-born 'child' of the Dashiell household. Lowering his voice, the scruffy salvager and CEO confided in the droid. "Tough crowd, eh Sparks? Definitely some issues goin' on." Sparky gave an electronic snort in response and a series of beeps. "Yeah, you're telling me" Judah said with a small smile towards the astromech.

Doing some quick math and crude drawing, Judah laid out the dimensions for the cockpit frame and a rough sketch of how it would fit into the frame overall. He marked each carefully for Jen, not knowing the amount of mechanical skill she possessed. It was fairly straightforward and Judah had already accounted for the feet placement and components that had to reside within the space. More would be house behind the pilots chair but one thing at a time.

"The VCE droids? Yeah, go ahead and take both. Perfect for the job."

"The VCE droids? Yeah, go ahead and take both. Perfect for the job." Judah had said, Jennifer nodding rapidly in response as she transferred the data onto her datapad. "Great, great! GREAT. Alrighty, VCE? Ah, that was what they are called, of course. I'll get right on it-" She had glanced down towards her datapad, the screen changing pages a few times before she looked back up: "Judah? It says here. Right?"

Waving the VCE droids to follow her she started to walk back towards her walk space, grabbing some metal goggles with green lenses in her hand that previously had been stationed there, putting her sunglasses down in exhange as she figured it would be hard to wear both. "Sei. Go grab the metal pipes together with the droids, they're listed under E-117, we're going to make the frame work first." She said, smiling encouragingly, seeming both focused and happy now the work had finally started. She sat back down onto the table, drawing on the datapad with one finger, glancing up towards Sei every now and then, waiting for him and the droids to come back.

Seilois occupied himself with watching the two from his current spot. There was very little he could offer them at the moment, so he would wait and observe as he often did, "Great, great! GREAT. Alrighty, VCE? Ah, that was what they are called, of course. I'll get right on it-" Seilois tilted his head, seemed she was getting back into the odd way she spoke when he first met her. Excitable.

"Judah? It says here. Right?" Seilois shook his head in amusement; it seemed that habit was common with her. Got so caught up in the moment and task that she forgot to ask people their names or offer her own. She had done that to him the first time he had met her. It was... good that she was starting to relax and get comfortable with the situation. He couldn't fualt her for being suspicious of the situation given what had happened before.

"Sei. Go grab the metal pipes together with the droids, they're listed under E-117, we're going to make the frame work first."

Seilois glanced at her from the corner of his eye as her workstation was fairly close to where he was standing, while he was glad she was very... specific, he couldn't help but get the feeling that her telling him to do things was something she was going to enjoy a little too much. But a command was a command, and he had been contracted to aid in the construction in whatever capacity he could.

Pushing himself off the desk, he motioned for the VCE droid that had been following after Jennifer's tail to follow him. It was a fairly short walk to the supply room, just down the hallway and the first door on the left. Entering the room, he walked along the large bins and metal railings holdings the various parts, some of which he could not even hazard the usage for, spotting the small sign reading E-117 hanging from a railing, he leaned up and started pulling the large, heavy pipes from their holdings, and they were quite heavy. He wasn't sure how many she needed, but he would get her as many as he could carry.

Handing off a few to the droid, "Take those back," Seilois said pulling more for himself, at four he started doubting his ability to make it back, so he maneuvered himself to turn around without having the pipes smack against the wall and made his way back. The door took some angling and wedging to get through.

Walking back to the small 'Mechanic Maiden' that kept looking up at him from her spot; he set the pipes down on the table letting out a small grunt as the weight was suddenly gone from his arms and back, "Enough?" He asked looking over the five long pipes on the table.

@Jen @Judah Dashiell

"Enough?" Seilois had asked as he had returned from the storage area, succesfully picking up the right pipes which Jennifer could confirm upon glancing over him and the pipes, not counting them. The two droids were already placing the pipes down onto the floor as he had returned.

"One more would do. I think." She had said, semi-succesfully holding her pokerface as she quickly walked towards the droids who were putting down the pipes, evading Seilois' eye contact. She still didn't fully understand why he had been assigned to help. Didn't he have other more important things to attend to? She didn't know. The feeling she had felt when they departed last had been correct after all, they had met again. And luckily under other conditions.

"One more would do. I think," Seilois eyed her stuck between wanting to see if she had even counted before saying that and doing his job. The fact that she wouldn't look at him compounded his desire to say something or ask her to see the plans... and have her explain to him what they meant to see how many of those heavy pipes she needed. After half a minute or so, he turned on his heel and walked away, towards the supply room.

This time he didn't waste time looking around as he already knew where to get them, reaching up he pulled another pipe off the rack grunting from the weight, and the pressure it put on his arms and back. Maneuvering the pipe, once again, so he could leave, he was now fairly certain Jennifer had sent him just to send him. He wasn't sure why... and he wasn't sure how he was supposed to feel about that. Annoyed? Amused? Both?

Carrying the pipe back into the room, Seilois moved back into the workshop and dropped the pipe onto the pile, "Anything else?" He asked, his tone even.

[member="Jen"] :: [member="Judah Dashiell"]

Having fastened the green lensed goggles to her face Jennifer had started to work on the first pipes with the help of the droids, each holding an end of one of the two pipes she was trying to weld together with her fusion welder, light springing from the section she was welding and lighting up the area around her. Hearing yet another booming noise from one of the pipes being dropped she glanced over her shoulder, spotting Seilois.

"Anything else?" Wow. That was new. Or. Perhaps it wasn't new of him asking and offering his services. She offered him a tiny smile in return, turning back to continue her work on the welding the pipes together into a structure that was constructed to hold the main part of the ship.

Some time later, when she had finished the second pipe welding, with the help from the droids she asked, voice louder than usual as the noise from the welder could be counted in as fairly annoying.

"So.. What have you been up to since.. Yea?" She had asked Sei, through the noise, seeming curious and in some odd way or another, perhaps even eager to talk.

Seilois took her silence as a no, then again, she was busy welding the sections together. She had surprisingly steady hands for the task, at odds with her personality. Seilois leaned back on his chosen table, crossed his arms, and waited, watching both Jennifer and Judah as they worked as he couldn't really offer any aid unless it was something simple then they just had to ask. Unfortunately, chances were he would have to do food detail too.

Time passed fairly quickly, at least, it felt quick as his eyes would move from person, to person, to droid. Seilois closed his eyes, feeling, almost, relaxed for the first time in a long time when a voice, Jennifer's voice, spoke up above the hissing of the welding, "So.. What have you been up to since.. Yea?"

Seilois opened his eyes and turned his head to look at her, thinking on what to tell her. She knew enough about him to know what he did for a living, but he had done many things recently that weren't something to be talked about in polite company, "I chased some people. Fought a few battles, for official military and underworld crime lords... I fought for an organization that... pays well, but I would not have you meeting them."

It was a rough and vague list of what he had done. Some of it he would not talk about such as when he fought for the Horde, the race of Vong warriors he would not have her meet as they were brutal, even by his standards. Crucified children for being force sensitive. He was no innocent as he had fired upon them as well. He had hoped for a Jedi or other veteran force user to face while they did the work they deemed necessary, but he was never that lucky. He had done what he always did, moved his body on auto-pilot and did not think about what he was doing.

"You?" Seilois asked to change the subject, "Also, how is Cindo?"

[member="Jen"] [member="Judah Dashiell"]

"I chased some people. Fought a few battles, for official military and underworld crime lords... I fought for an organization that... pays well, but I would not have you meeting them." Jennifer had nodded from her spot by the pipes so he could see she was listening, she grinned at the last comment though, that teasing grin of hers, this time to herself though. Not have her meet them? What was he now. Her father? She changed her grip on the welder, her thoughts interrupted by a question of his to her: "You? Also, how is Cindo?"

"She's fine, doing a few paint jobs here and there. Nothing special. Myself.. Hmmm.. Living.. I suppose. One day takes the next, you know.. Just working. Trying to cut down on playing Sabacc.. Not good for my credits." She moved almost uncomfortably from her spot with the welder, accidently turning it off: "We're good right? I mean. Between us. Past is the past. I realize it was.. Just a job.." She sat in silence for a bit, turning to focus on her work instead, the welder starting to hiss again: "The speeder though.. Could have been spared."

"She's fine, doing a few paint jobs here and there. Nothing special. Myself.. Hmmm.. Living.. I suppose. One day takes the next, you know.. Just working. Trying to cut down on playing Sabacc.. Not good for my credits." Seilois nodded, showing he was listening to her as she seemed to be watching him during her welding. He was a little surprised that she had a gambling problem, but everyone had their vices. He could never get into gambling, he could stand spending tiny amounts of credits for maintenance on his ship much less gambling it away.

Seilois hadn't been observing too closely as he divided his time from watching her work, to watching Judah work, and the droids moving around, but the sound of the welder shutting off caught his attention, "We're good right? I mean. Between us. Past is the past. I realize it was.. Just a job.."

He watched her waiting to see if she had anything else to add. Perhaps a minor note to help convince herself that it was, indeed, just a job and not her fault. Seilois didn't want to interrupt her as he felt it was important she finish, and this get moved aside, "The speeder though.. Could have been spared."

Seilois felt a tug on the corner of his lips at that. The speeder? He could barely remember the thing, some gaudy red speeder so that the boy could show his superiority to those lesser the him. He never understood people and their fascination with vehicles, "If I were angry at you; I wouldn't have referred you for this job. I assumed you needed time to adjust, so we are good."

Watching her get back to work, Seilois motioned to the pipes, "Do you need any help with any of this?" he asked looking to change the subject.
