Strengths:
[ Ondine are an extraordinarily rare species in the Galaxy. It is theorized that they may have developed extragalactic, as only Wisties are comparable to them in the main galaxy. The first Ondine was discovered by a human, who convinced it to take human form after a long period of interaction. At first, the Ondine was mistaken for a non-sentient puddle, and later as a fungus or animal level of intelligence, but as it grew more familiar with their human companion, learned to take the shape of a human girl and now identifies as a female. A human male found her extraordinarily attractive and drowned while trying to profess his affection. This act has left this Ondine with a terrible sense of guilt regarding the incident. ]

- Description: [ An Ondine appears to be made of water, appearing as a humanoid of average or below average height, completely translucent. They may generate jewelry or clothing to blend in, but often just prefer a less taxing general human shape. ]

- Force Sensitivity: [ All (Every single member is born sensitive to the Force, but lack training. Ex. Neti, Vahla). Ondine must be able to use the Force to retain their form, but like Miraluka may never learn any other skills in their entire lifetime. ]
Strengths:
- [ Ondine may appear invulnerable in their natural form. A knife passing through them does no damage. A lightsaber does limited damage. Non-sustained blaster-fire is virtually harmless. Ondine may be all Force-sensitive, as non Force-sensitive Ondine would not be able to take on a humanoid form for long periods of time. Ondine can hear using their bodies, and their mode of sight is unknown, so they cannot be blinded or deafened by normal means. They are immune to minor temperature changes. They will not freeze until -30 degrees Celsius or boil until +130 degrees Celsius ]
- [ Ondine are incapable of changing their size for a long period of time. They cannot, for instance, control all the water in an ocean, or grow gigantic by absorbing atmospheric water for longer than a few minutes. An Ondine starts very small, similarly to a human child and amasses water as they grow older and able to control more of their body mass. It is unknown if an ancient Ondine would be able to become gigantic or not, but as so far, only human sized Ondine exist.
- They are also extraordinarily sensitive to dilution. If their body mass takes on more than 5% of impurities, this can slow down their thinking and physical movements much like imbibing alcohol does for other species. An Ondine is not physically very strong.
- Although they can make their bodies solid for short periods of time, they are still subject to the physics of water. Ondine must use weapons to do harm. An Ondine also must use the Force to keep their shape.
- A Force-nullifying effect will render them unable to stay cohesive, and they will return to the form of liquid water.
- An Ondine is also sensitive to temperature. Though they have a lower freezing point than natural water, Ondine can be frozen and colder weather will slow them down. They will freeze completely in space, but not be killed indicating that they do not need to breathe. When frozen, an Ondine can hibernate indefinitely. Hot temperatures can transform an Ondine into steam, which is a very painful state of matter for them, as it is more difficult to maintain their cohesion. In this state they cannot grasp objects, have trouble seeing and hearing, but can float or fly and appear in human shape for limited amounts of time. Additionally they can be vaporized by high heat (plasma), which can start over the biological growth of the Ondine, leading to years or decades before they can return to human form or kill them completely.
- An Ondine can be trapped by whatever traps water. Any watertight container can trap an Ondine.
- They do have a central mass, but that cannot be easily detected. It is slightly warmer than the rest of their bodies, and if contained can be trapped in a smaller container than needed. An Ondine who has reached a certain size can regain their original form if exposed to pure ionized fresh water, but if not will only be able to appear at the size of the available amount of water they have absorbed.]
- Diet: [ Aquavore; An Ondine seems to have a fully open circulatory system, or they seem to be entirely a circulatory system. They must consume new water in order to purge toxic elements from their bodies. Anything can be poisonous to them, or very much debilitate them. An Ondine can only consume fresh ionized water. Pure (distilled) water has no nutritious value to them and can 'starve' an Ondine of needed nutrition. An Ondine can die without core mineral and ionic fluid, but can also be utilized by companions as a source of fresh water. An Ondine can temporarily imbibe impure water (salt or muddy water) or non-water fluid for a brief time, but it will cause them distress and can damage them for long periods of time afterwords. If this happens, they must purge themselves and replace their lost fluids with fresh fluids. This will not fully heal an Ondine. They will need to rest for long periods of time to recover. ]
- Communication: [ An Ondine can form vocal chords using their very malleable bodies. It can take years for them to learn how, and also a similarly long time to learn a new language. Ondine will typically know the language of who raised them or who their closest companions are, but their natural language is mostly natural-seeming water noises (trickling, dripping, wooshing, etc.) They are capable of a kind of 'hearing' by translating the vibrations that pass through their bodies, and sight through an unknown mechanism. ]
- Technology level: [ It is unsure what technological level Ondine are capable of. It is possible that other Ondine have a level of technology, but equally possible that they do not. Their ability to use language and ability to manipulate objects indicates that they are capable of developing a standard level of Galactic technology, but considering that they have a great deal of trouble utilizing moisture-sensitive technology means that they would have had to address these problems in order to become space-faring. ]
- Religion/Beliefs: [ The only known Ondine is Force-Sensitive and believes in the Living Force. Any other potential religions are unknown. Since they have a deep connection to the natural world, Ondine probably lean towards the Light side of the Force. ]
- General behavior: [ Ondine are capable of learning new skills and have a generally human level of intelligence. Their biology is mostly a mystery, but they are often mistaken for spirits or similarly elemental creatures. Culturally, only one Ondine has ever been discovered, so any information about Ondine is limited. They do seem entirely self contained, and can survive extreme conditions that would harm other creatures. It is unsure whether Ondine procreate at all, or are just given life by the Force, but it is theorized they are asexual - though what triggers procreation is uncertain, if at all. The only known Ondine identifies as female, which suggests there is some gender identification among them, though this could be just a single example of this behavior. ]
