Once more into the Breach - TSE/AiE Skirmish!

The Alliance was in tatters. Exiled to the Rim of the galaxy, the Alliance was working to make ends meet. One thing was for certain though, with the emptying and mutiny of vast parts of the military machine that protected the Alliance, by way of the sleeper agent known as Taeli Raaf, the one-time Grand Marshall. But now? The Alliance was reaching back to her roots, looking for resources, and getting involved in the more unsavory aspects of the galaxy.

And that was why they were here, a planetoid in between Ord Mantell and the Sith Empire’s space. Just a small system that seemed to have failed its colonization. But the terraforming was mostly successful, a bit of heat waves coming across the world. This messed things up every so often, and made it a bit tricky for the raw resources to be harvested, but the stalwart outlaws were interested in the credits it could create. But the big hook? The world was serving lately as a manufacturing plant, to cut down on costs. And that meant weapons and power cells were being produced. And stored on the world. Fuel for weapons of war.

And that was something that the Alliance in Exile needed. However, the planetoid was not only home to the pirate production center, but a number of other unsavory types needing a place to hide. And that made it so the biggest bidder was the most important. Were smugglers and the other merchant spacers going to be giving the calls out to the Alliance, the bastions of freedom, or were other, more unsavory types, motivated by money?

Coren Starchaser, General of the Alliance, and commander of Sector Force Vanguard was just reverting to real space. The Solar Winds at the head, the General looked out at space. The reversion to real space was easy, and Coren could see the planetoid. “Alright, captain, we’re going to be needing you and the corvettes to protect it. Alert Captain Sykkla of the Spear and let him know that we are at the location. And prep pats of the Core Fleet for our arrival.”

“Aye, General.” The Sullustan captain nodded. Moving from the Alliance to the Exile, the Sullustans were getting nervous about leaving their home, but this Captain was doing alright. Turning to the communications center as Coren stepped away from the bridge, heading towards the lift, grabbing their rifle. “Send the Gee-Arrs to the planet. And launch the U-Wings. Bring Green Squadron to bear as a CAP for us.”

Coren had arrived in the hangar shortly after. One of the astromechs, as Porter was off on the Princess Leia, making sure [member="Mishel Noren"] was going to get to her , A group of several U0Wings and the Pathfinders that were going to be filling them. “Ladies and Gentlebeings. Today we’re assisting our Alliance continue our efforts to defend our worlds. Our goal today is to secure the resource hubs. This is pirate tech we’re dealing with, but it will assist us. We land, fan out, and lock things down before the Gallofreys land.”

Stepping aboard the lead U-Wing, he slapped the door and shut it. Time to get to work. And with the Sith patrols still out here? He was being hopeful that the pirates were the only issue.

Hey all! Welcome to the Skirmish,
Just something low key, looking to play Alliance versus Sith because that’s always fun. But there are a few different ways to go about this. One is to find a dueling partner, and get some PvP going on. But also, fighting some pirates is always important, to free up the resources, and that would make a fun PvE for anyone interested.
The TL;DR, this is a fun mission, we’ll all lose some, and win some, and maybe get away with the reason to submit some interesting pirate tech for small teams. Lets go!

Tarc hovered in his crossfire, s-foils open in attack mode as he scanned the stars looking for anything that would spell trouble for the Alliance's pirate raid. It was odd, for so many years he had hunted thugs like these, never did he think he would be employing their own strategies against them. A voice over the com meant it was time to start moving, potential enemy fighters were afoot.

"Blue 3, you need to get back in formation," called the voice.

Tarc grunted and pulled the yoke, sending his starfighter closer to the Sycthe.

Objective: Attempted infiltration of enemy territory

A ship would enter within the region of space the Alliance was located in. But this was no Sith ship. No, this was a seemingly damaged Viscount Mk II-class Star Defender, designated Strident. The vessel would conduct initial scans of the area before opening up a hailing frequency to the Alliance-in-exile task force.

"This is Lieutenant Fasun Dardo of the Viscount Star Defender Strident. Thank Force we found you... We've been running from the Sith armada for ages. We lost half our crew to mutiny and half of the loyal portion to their treachery. The captain is dead and I'm the highest ranking officer on board. Are you Alliance ships? Transmit confirmation, please."

The Strident was more than she appeared, however. Currently some of her systems, fully functional as they were, were running on minimal power, or alternatively had been temporarily disabled in order to provide the illusion that she had been damaged and unable to find a place to repair. Her fuel bays were about thirty percent full - full enough to make the jump to Nathema if this operation foundered, but low enough to indicate the ship had been traveling for some time. The crew on board the Strident was minimal - minimally living, that was, as there were numerous FXR multipurpose droids aboard the ship, filling in for the deliberately limited crew. A vessel that had undergone a full-scale mutiny would certainly have lost most of its crew, after all, and they were running on a near-skeleton crew as it stood.

Fasun Dardo was not who he appeared to be. Indeed there had been a human male of that name on board the Strident at the time of its capture, but he had been incapacitated after the Strident was jumped to Nathema by mutineers and boarded by the numerous Dark Troopers responsible for dealing with the trapped Alliance personnel. The worn-looking, scruffily-bearded man before them was a trained Imperial agent, and the humans on board the ship were the same. Well, with the exception of one Vanessa Vantai who was currently several decks down, her Sith magic making her an infinitesimally small speck in the Force, nigh-undetectable aboard the ship. She had desired to witness this situation firsthand, and, if need be, potentially call in proper Sith forces to make the illusion that much more convincing. After all, wouldn't the Sith armada have tracked the Strident to this location?

All that was left was the deciding factor - would the Alliance bite, or even take a nibble? Or alternatively, would they immediately attack the Battlecruiser?

It was time to find out.
