Within one of many meditation rooms on the Prosperity, Valery sat crossed-legged and with her eyes closed. Her mind was calm, her breathing steady and for the last hour or so, she had fallen deeply into the Force, searching for answers. The final battle of the Second Great Hyperspace war was near, and its outcome would have immense repercussions for the Galaxy. Success would mean the Alliance could focus on cleaning up Maw remnants and securing the planets they ravaged, but a loss and the tides could turn against them again.

On a more personal level, Valery longed for a time without a war. A time that allowed her to expand her family and raise her children while she continued to work for the Jedi. All of it depended on Exegol.

But no matter how much she tried, the future was a blur to her. It made her wish that she had her daughter's gift, who had already predicted various things about her own future, as well as her parents. Triplets — she still couldn't believe that it was going to happen. But when? One thing was certain though; it also relied on what happened on Exegol.

In an attempt to distract herself a little and perhaps gain a new perspective, Valery had invited Jannik Morlandt Jannik Morlandt to join her. She hadn't met the man before, but the files she read made her believe he'd be interesting to meet so close to the big day.

After so long flitting from place to place, it was difficult to stay put with feet firmly on the ground; thus, when Jannik received the invitation from no less than the Sword of the Jedi to meet with her aboard the Prosperity, the thought of being able to be amongst Jedi while still amongst the stars with the comforting hum that accompanied many a vessel was a lure that outmatched the ambivalence he felt about how the very same woman hooked into the back of his mind.

Like a vague itch, for reasons he had as yet been unable to put a finger on, and that was just from a picture whereupon seeing her depicted, Jannik had been struck with the feeling that he should know her, despite being quite certain that he had never heard the name ‘Valery Noble’ until he had started to try and return to the fold, and therefore the certainty that he had never met her in his life. Or lives. Names had never been a difficulty for him.

Maybe her face reminded him of someone might have known, but… that was a lot of people, a lot of years, and his memory had long been non-sequential. Jumbled. A hazard of what had happened to have him be present in these years at all. The only real choice. And no measure of ruminating on it gave him any answers.

“Master Noble,” Jannik greeted softly in the ever-so-vague lilt of his voice - a weak remnant of the young man that he once was - and a tip of his head, when he found the correct room and let himself in, “thank you for the invitation.” He looked at her plainly for a moment, giving a mild smile - no, still nothing, “Had I known of the Prosperity earlier, I’m not certain I’d have bothered to set foot on Coruscant in recent months.”

He had much to catch up on. Decades worth. And Coruscant held the memory of far too much.

“How goes the preparations?”

He wasn’t ignorant. He knew of the coming offensive, but it was always a battle with his own scars to lash himself to the effort of recent years to put down the Sith yet again, an effort not too dissimilar to what he had been party to in his youth.
