Omega Pyre Astrography and Defenses

This list contains all of the noteworthy systems under the protection and control of the Omega Protectorate, as dictated by the map of SWRP. This list contains the noteworthy aspects of each system/planet, and will in the future hold information regarding the defenses of the planet, as well as a ranking of importance to the Protectorate

Note: In the wake of Akala's return, many of these worlds have fallen out of direct Protectorate control, or have been taken by our enemies. Those planets that remain in our control (save for Fondor) all have a one rank reduction in military classification from their stated grade until development brings it back up. (So a D-class world is now an E-class world. A AAA world, except Fondor, is now a AA. Etc.)

Planetary Information:

Academy - An institution devoted to teaching and training in a specific field, such as military, medical, or science.

Agriculture - A world lacking heavy industry. Primarily devoted to food or other non-heavy industry production.

Communications Hub - A junction world for communications throughout the Protectorate and galaxy at large.

Death World - A world hostile to all life. Surviving without extensive preparation is all but impossible.

FLEETCOM - A designated world for coordinating and training Protectorate naval forces. Heavily defended.

Heavy Mining - A world with no intelligent life subjugated to strip mining and other invasive mining practices for heavy metals, minerals, and resources.

Hub - A world with a noticeable collection of trading stations, smuggler's hide outs, or other focus non-specific to the Protectorate.

Manufacturing - A world with heavy industry designed to produce technological goods, such as blasters, vehicles, or starship components.

Medical World - A world with a noteworthy medical history and highly specialized health care programs.

Mining World - A world with intelligent life subject to careful mining practices to minimize overall ecological damage in the search for light metals, precious minerals, and other resources.

Processing - A world with heavy industry designed to process materials into usable goods for Manufacturing worlds. Typically an urbanized world.

Research and Development - A world with a focus for creating and testing new technologies for the benefit of the Protectorate and galaxy at large.

Resort World - A world with little to no heavy industry designed to attract vacation seekers and nature enthusiasts of all kinds.

Restricted World - A world with high security. Non-military populations are kept to a minimum and closely watched.

Sanctuary - A world with little to no heavy industry designed to harbor endangered species and galactic refugees.

Shipbuilding - A world with extensive planetary and orbital shipyards, both civilian and military.

Testing World - A world with little to no life where hazardous technology can be tested without impacting large population centers.

Trade World - A world that serves as a hub for trading of all manner of goods; civilian and military, legal and illegal, native and foreign.

Military Classifications:

AAA - The most heavily defended worlds within the Protectorate. These worlds have hundreds of thousands of ground troops spread across dozens of planetary garrisons, thousands of planetary fighters, dozens of heavy military defense stations, dozens more light defense stations, a FLEETCOM station, and a System Defense Fleet alongside a Battle Group.

AA - Heavily defended worlds of strategic value to the Protectorate. These worlds are only slightly below AAA worlds in terms of value and thus have only slightly less than AAA systems for defense, with the exception of a FLEETCOM station and having a System Defense Fleet and a Task Force instead of a Battle Group.

A - Important systems, these planets have two dozen orbital military defense stations, tens of thousands of troops and droids defending the surface, along with a few hundred starfighters based on the surface. They also have an assigned naval force, in this case a single System Defense Fleet.

B - These systems represent the average bulk of Protectorate worlds. Their defense is seen as crucial but not a priority. They have a large, singular defense force on the ground, usually centered in the capital city, with dozens of fighters for support and a dozen defense stations in orbit. A single Battle Group patrols these systems as a constant reassurance for the populace and show of force against aggression.

C - Unassuming systems with low to moderate strategic value, these worlds come with much the same as Class B worlds, only with half as many defense stations. A single Task Force patrols these systems at all times.

D - Backwater worlds with either little strategic value, or worlds with natural phenomena that make additional defenses difficult or unnecessary. They might possess a single orbital defense station, a long-range communications satellite, and a few dozen garrison starfighters. A Defense Force group will patrol these systems.

E - Worlds with next to no military presence, due to a critical lack of population. They might possess a single military outpost with perhaps a dozen starfighters for support along with a single long-range communications satellite. A Defense Group might cruise through the system for a few hours before moving on to another Class E world.
