Private Old Tech

Some times it was just good to do some old spelunking. Alina hummed as she walked through an old, ancient even, CIS warship. One from before the dark times, when it was droids fighting clones or something of the like. The Sangnir didn't really understand much of that old history from more than the cautionary tales about Darth Sidious and the like. That's not why she was here though. Red glowing eyes scanned through the shadows as she smiled her fanged smile. Calm, bored almost. There were no threats here that she could see. Most things had been shut down for all eternity. She did pause at one particular sight, though.

A droid. Commando, by chance? Deactivated of course, but seemingly seated as if they'd expected this and resigned to their fate. She crouched before it, her smile dimming some. "It's so easy to give in to what people expect of you, isn't it?" She muttered almost bitterly before a heavier sigh escaped her. She stood, glancing around. Something- Ah, there it was. A generator of some sort. It'd work fine, she figured. A gauntleted hand raised as she let loose a torrent of lightning, not even wincing as her hand beneath burned from the device she wielded.

"Let's see what you've to say for yourself."

A heavy, angry mechanical whir kicked into gear, emanating from the droid as the generator quite literally sparked to life. Darkened ocular sensors sputtered and flickered a dull red. The sound of gears grinding rose, a chaotic cacophony of metal and tech getting louder with each second. "System... r-r-r-re-restart..." A deep, hoarse electronic voice stammered from the battered droid as the generator slowly fed it power.

Several heavy clicks, followed by the slight twitch of the droids head and joints as it awoke, signaled the end of the cacophony that had been the angry whirring of its inner mechanics and the awakening of the droids consciousness. "Reboot... comp-p-p-plete... Running d-d-d-diagnostics...... System-tem-tem... error.." More mechanical grinding as the droid lifted its head, the joints moving sluggishly from lack of attention and the passage of time.

"Diverting.. power... Execute... self repair diagnos-nos-nostics protocol..." The droid slumped slightly, the light of its ocular sensors flickered out before suddenly flashing brighter. It lifted its head with more purpose, and certainly less sluggish. It took in its surroundings for a second before the ocular sensors lifted to lock on the Sangnir, emotionless as it spoke.

"..Unknown life form... State your c-c-c-classification..." It's tone didn't change, but it was certainly less of a question and more of a demand. Only its head and inner mechanics seemed to be currently active, as it didn't have enough power to be fully operational.

"Classification, is it? Lady Alina Tremiru, of Dromund Kaas." It truly had woken up. Alina watched in idly fascination, but as the droid finally addressed her through it's self diagnostics. It was alert, aware. Stuttering as it likely shook off centuries of dust. Her head tilted just a bit before she crouched down before it, head tilted to the side, hand holding her chin up. "What was your last task, I wonder? Anything fun?"
