K1[__]. Full identification K1LR. Former Body Guard or 'security' droid. His former master was a political influence or kingpin. Truth be told, K1 does not remember who exactly his master was, only that they were someone whose used any means necessary to get ahead of the game; though usually that meant he didn't dirty his own hands and had his subordinates do the work for him.
Somehow K1 failed in his duty. His master was attacked. K1LR jumped in and protected him and took the brunt of the attack, but it still left his master injured. His master, angry at K1's inability to prevent him from harm, did away with him, had him 'decommissioned' and thrown away.
His chassis is beaten and battered, he looks old and dented. His memory banks are damaged and corroded. As such he doesn't remember, at this time, who his previous Master was, or even what his purpose was, let alone his own identification.
He instinctively reacts when someone is in danger, protecting and fighting for them. He knows how to fight and has immense strength but doesn't know the specifics as to why.

Built to Design Standards: Has as much power and strength within his chassis as other KX units. This means he's also good at fighting.
I am your shield: Will devote his life to protecting his master, more precisely to keep them from being killed, but he's programmed to keep them safe at all costs
Broken memories: His memory banks have been damaged. Not just corroded from time, but seemingly done with malicious purpose by some force. He cannot remember who he is, what his purpose is, or who his master was. Certain events or images may trigger splinters of memory data to return, but they cannot be forced or manually returned.
Lost in this world: Without knowing who he is or what he's meant for, K1 clings to one person. She is both his reason to live (she 'saved' him) and die, his weakness but also his strength. Everything he does will be for her, as such he may disobey orders or programming to protect her if he finds her life in danger
Berserk: Sometimes K1 will go into a trance like state when splinters of memory data return to him. He reverts to a more aggressive personality and perceives all around him as threats. It's not impossible to break him from this, but it can be difficult and not something he can do so easily on his own.
