<At Kayshkk!> BB-12 whirred. <A place that's actually halfway decent living for a Jedi.>

"Indeed," Jax answered angling his X-Wing towards the landing pad. "It's been a long time since I can finally sit down but BB," Jax flipped a few switches in order to initiate the landing cycle. "Don't get too comfortable we land, take a small break and then we get back to Naboo for some more missions so no fracking debauchery."

<Jax baby!> BB-12 whirred. <I for one would never get caught up in debauchery come on what do you take me for?>

The hatch opened up and Jax exited his ship while Jedi pilots along with droids began to run past him and BB-12 to refuel his ship. "A gluttonous little chit," Jax answered. "Now don't go too far okay? I'm going to meditate for a bit."

<Whatever!> BB-12 sped away from Jax causing him to roll his eyes in response. "He already has a few calls in place." he muttered.

Sōla holstered her Model 6 beside her lightsaber. The blaster pistol still felt strange in her hand, for all that her aim was preternaturally good. Her armor was comfortable though, not much different from her old Jedi armament, save for a few more bells and whistles, and she didn’t wear a buy’ce, sticking with her same old face mask. Still, beskar’gam did not make a Mando, nor did a lightsaber make a Jedi. And right now, she felt like neither.

So she did what she knew best— sought out evil and evil doer’s, and put a stop to them. It was marauders this week. She wasn’t sure how many groups were roving the Shadowlands, but she’d found this bunch holed up in an ancient refinery, hoarding resources, bolts of spider silk, volatile chemicals; even a few young Wookies she’d found in cages, undoubtedly to be sold on the Outer-Rim slave markets.

The marauders had refused to surrender, so she made certain they would trouble no one else. She searched the rest of the facility, looking for intel, and found evidence of a message transmitted to another site about two hundred miles north of her position. She had no desire to hike two hundred miles through dense, dangerous jungle, so she made her way up to surface.

I’ll swing by the old temple and resupply on my ship.

Jax took a step inside of the long abandoned Silver Temple. Despite the empty halls and discarded items scattered on the floor, the Force still remained strong within the mass covered walls. A smile formed on Jax’s lips memories flooded his mind. He was a wild child growing up. Disobeying his Masters and sneaking out of the temple to converse with Wookiees. He enjoyed the freedom and the sense of adventure being outside bought. It also instilled a sense of duty to make sure that people lived free in harmony with the Force. The Masters didn’t see it that way and Jax was forced to work on his meditations for 8 hours straight.

He missed the Silver Jedi Order. Jairdain Ismet-Thio Jairdain Ismet-Thio was especially devastated when the Silvers dissolved as an Order. The Bryn attack was so devastating that the Silvers never recovered. Jair and Jax still had contact with the remnants of the Silver Order but the faction was a shadow of itself and the abandoned temple was a testament of its long, enduring history.

Seeing two of his home planets being taking over was a lot to endure but Jaxs needed to let it flow in and out of his mind. Death is a natural part of life after all. As he explored the temple, the Jedi Master sensed a presence. Was it a grave robber? Unlikely, the presence he was sensing was benign. Might as well check it out.

There was someone else in the temple. She had passed a ship on the way, an X-Wing parked near the temple, but that wasn’t what alerted her. It was the footprints in the dust, tracking from the temple’s entrance to its shadowed depths.

Her first instinct was to simply go to her shop, secure her provisions, and depart for the next slaver camp. But the Force whispered to her in its ephemeral language of light and feeling. Wait and see, said the Force, and so she did.

She heard his footsteps before she saw him. He was taller than her, and slim, with dark skin and a perfectly lined beard. Something in his bearing reminded her of Master Dhalinar, a certain solemnity that came with mastery.

“You are a Jedi,” she called out by way of greeting. When he was closer, and she could see his face, there was a hint of recognition. I’ve seen him before…

Before Star’s End. Before…Ilum.
