R U N N E R
Lights scattered and flickered along the skyline of the City that never sleeps. It was ripe and rich with so much possibility, and Rorie had found herself a one-way ticket there. Unfortunately for the Lupo, it was a one-way ticket, which meant she needed to find the credits to get her home after the job was done. She had hoped the handler that had given her the task would have given her enough credits, but alas — he seemed to have failed to understand the concept of comfort.
Rorie glanced at her comm device and scanned the messages. Some were in all caps, others were veiled threats; all in all, Nickles was not happy.
"What do you mean, I shouldn't have flown here first class?" She asked the comm device as she read through the messages. It seemed she was supposed to sneak into the cargo hold, save the money, and take a trip home with food. Rorie knew the money she earned for the Syndicate was a ridiculous ask of the Lupo.
She bit into the thick sandwich, meat slipping from the corners — Rorie did her best to make sure none of the premium cuts escaped. Mustard and mayo coated her face as she literally slurped up the roast bantha steak slices into her mouth. Luckily for Nickles, she had done some scouting on the first-class flight. The grab wasn't going to be hard, but she had eyed the perfectly delicious prize.
Rorie squatted, kept eating the sandwich, and opened her cyberdeck. Thankfully, for her skills with Mechu Deru, she really didn't need to use her hands to command the machine. As quickly as her mind thought it, she moved through the images and found the Arkanian 'Princess', the shameful genetic mistake of a great doctor.
As much as she tried to see this as just a job, she felt a hint of empathy for the woman. They both had been deemed a genetic mistake, but at least her life was lavish and full of luxury. Shrugging, Rorie finished the meal and then packed up quickly. She had already scouted the hotel room and found the window for the penthouse the woman was staying at.
Maybe she could kill two birds with one stone, get info on the woman's 'father' and get some fat gems to sell.
Slinging her bag onto her back, Rorie began to walk, the Force anchoring her feet to the wall as she headed carefully down the side of the building. Finding the window, she carefully used the vibroknife to cut a circle large enough for her to leap through.
Through a terrible miscalculation by the Lupo, the knife shattered the window, which was in the bathroom. In a panic, the girl jumped through and snaked her way into the tub to hide behind the shower curtain. Hopefully her fellow genetic experiment didn't hear anything that would cause her to come see what happened.
