Odd Jobs are Still Jobs (Everyone Welcome!)

Hades dusted off his cloak as he set foot on the desert sand of Tatooine. He never really liked the place, but it offered good work.

Hades walked up to the Mos Eisley Spaceport, and easily spotted the bounty board.

"Let's see what we have here..."

Humming. Humming. The general buzz of Tatoowine was not as big and horrible as some places that Lumi had been to but still--it was enough to give her a mild headache.

And the heat, that was another thing.

Dressed from head to toe in her dark leather, the frail woman was on the verge of passing out from the heat alone, let alone the irritating sand everywhere. She was lost as anything in this dark world that seemed to revolve around suffering. Suffering of others and the suffering of self. Her Force-sight helped to off-set the draw backs of her racial blindness, but the half-Miriluka was so hot it was a strain to even move, let alone use it. So her telepathy would have to do for now, like the echolocation some species used in the galaxy.

She felt a cool breeze come from her left and she followed, homing in on it. It didn't matter at this point where it was; ice cooler or a criminal home, she needed to get out of this heat or she knew she would be a pile of goop soon. At last she stepped in and the cooler-than-outside air washed over her. She smiled contently and was so lost in the moment that she bumped into a figure, almost falling over.

"Oh my goodness," she exclaimed surprised, especially that she hadn't felt it, "pardon me!"

Lumi swallowed, her eyes still closed. The heat must have been getting to her worse than she thought. She took her hood off, letting her now sweat-soaked auburn hair down. The cooling air washed over her face, making the beads of sweat wick away in the process. Her Force Sight was still slow in coming, and part of the woman wondered if she was partially blustered because of it--or the atmosphere of hostility that seemed to fill the very air of this sand-box planet.

"I am sorry," she said again, "but could you be so kind as to do a blind woman a favor? Could you direct me to a seat?"

She offered a kind smile in return and her hand for him to guide her to a chair.

The droid gently gripped onto the woman's arm. If he had a mouth, he'd be smiling.

"Of course Madam. It's the least I can do."

Hades gave her a curious look before speaking again.

"Why are you wearing all that leather in this heat? We need to get you inside..."

He guided her into the cantina, gently sitting her down.

"Tattoine..ohh it's so good to be back!"

Katelyn announced to herself under her breath. A soft smile stretched over her face as she walked off from the transport. Oh, it's so good to be to my home away from home! I mean Hoth was nice and so if the First Order HQ but...they both only have snow. I mean, sure I don't get cold easily but..it's just something about the sand and the heat on my face that I've always enjoyed. Katelyn's hazel eyes stumbled upon the cantina as she walked over to it. She wasn't going to drink..well hopefully that is...only just relax in their for a while before heading off unto some 'adventure' on Tattoine which usually led to Sandpeople and Sarlaac Pits.

Katelyn's eyes noticed a droid escorting a woman in leather but she didn't think anything of it. She walked into the cantina and sat down at an empty table. Then, an armored man walked in..his armor was styled like that of a mandalorion but he didn't appear to be any mandalorion. First off, the armor had noticeable dents and deep scratch marks which normal beskar armor wouldn't have due to it's thickness. Then, well...the man just didn't sit right with Katelyn. The armored man turned and walked over to the table Katelyn was out. Oh chit! Who is this guy anyways? This can't be good. Look, just...just calm down!

"I'm looking for somebody...an off-worlder"

"Ok, and what do you want me to do about it?"

Hades took notice of the woman that walked in. Now she doesn't belong here, does she?

He kept his focus on the woman and set her down, walking towards the table next to that strange woman.

"HEY! No droids allowed!"

Hades gave the bartender a death stare through his hooded cloak. That seemed to shut him up.

Lypheen walked into the Mos Eisley Cantina. He was injured. He had just gotten out of a "confrontation". He was so badly injured he forgot mostly anything about what happened. He didn't even remember where it was. Come to think of it, how did he get here? Everything started spinning. He started to fall over.

NO.

He couldn't give up now. Lypheen was determined. People could not look at him as a weakling anymore. He was the most powerful Gran anyone had ever seen. His potential was endless!!! HE WAS THE LEADER! He fired a warning shot. He spotted two figures in front of him. A droid? A girl? Two? They were blurry. He wasn't just a bounty hunter anymore. He was ruthless. A murderer.

"Hands up, dirtba-"

He fell.

Hades heard a loud thump as he saw a figure fall to the ground

"What the-?"

He kept a firm grip on one of his blasters, making sure that no one was in moral danger.

Out of the corner of her eye, Katelyn saw a droid approaching. Chit! What the hell is going on?! The one time I go back to tattoine, the ONE TIME!! Katelyn's hand clawed for her knife which was in a holster on her left thigh. Her hand slowly unsheathed the knife and her grip tightened as the droid got even closer and closer. Thud, after thud..after thud! They got louder and louder...ringing in her head. Then the hand which was holding the knife began to tremble. Wait, no..no..NO! I thought I took the medicine....guess not!! Her Multi-Personality Disorder was acting up again....well it was most likely acting up again.....that or she was extremely anxious for some reason.

"It's the droid coming up to your left!"

"W-why....do yo....."

Suddenly, a blaster buzzed off and nearly hit her in the head. This caused Katelyn to snap her head to the left towards the only object she saw standing, the droid with a fallen Gran to it's right. Oh that's it! No, no...stay calm their has to be a good explanation! NO, kill the droid! Don't do it!! The effect of the disorder was now causing her right eye to twitch.

Hades looked at the armored man as the bolt hit him in the chestplate.

"You're dead..."

Out comes twin blaster pistols as he begins firing them one by one till the armored man was on the ground.

Sparrow's search for a retired crime lord had brought her to the Outer Rim Territories. There was no chance that the great Lysle of the Hydian Way would be frequenting the sandy planet of Tatooine. Of course, that didn't stop the Human Cyborg from sniffing out his trail. She sat at the bar, shrinking herself into the shadows. She sat amongst strangers as a distraction. If she looked busy, maybe nobody would give her trouble unless she sought it out. Blending in had been a valuable survival skill back home. She wore a wide brim black hat atop a head of purple-tinged red hair. The one part of her face that stood out like a sore thumb was the red glowing panel that sat in the crevice where her right eye should have been. Her hat was pulled forward to cover the eye. She drew her faded and torn black shawl up to her chin and sunk into the chair, observing those around her. Her Blaster rifle sat amongst the shadows on the wall beside her, while her pistol sat firmly in the holster on her hip. Inconspicuous, just like her. She would have looked merely like a worn out trader to those that were not able to see her cybernetic enhancements. Sparrow needed to blend in and listen. With her Hi-Sense Enhanced left eye she peered out from under the wide brim hat, skimming her sight over the surrounding patrons.

She saw a droid and a woman sitting together. Sparrow watched as he sneered down the bar tender, defending his right to stay within the cantina. Sparrow was silently thankful that her cybernetics had not yet caused her refusal of service. Her eyesight scanned the room, searching for anybody that looked like they might have information of Lysle and his whereabouts. Sparrow thought about how this task had been made a lot harder than necessary. 'The harder the hunt, the sweeter the reward' had become her motto, with Lysle proving that to be completely true.

Sparrow was pulled from her thoughts by the sound of a shot going off. Her head slowly turned to the where stood a now fallen Gran. Sparrow managed a small chuckle to herself as she realized how rowdy those in cantinas could be. The action had not slowed down, however. The Human Cyborg cracked her head to where the droid and woman were standing. Her mouth curled into a smile around the rim of her cup as she finally saw some action. She stared to where the droid had shot.

Sparrow stood up, slowly, with her hand on the pistol at her hip. She swore to herself that she wouldn't get involved, she needed to merely be an observer. Sigourney had trained her better than brawling in a cantina for no good reason. She sat back down, releasing her hand off her hip and back onto the bar. She was prepared to defend anybody that got involved in the crossfire. She much preferred watching the fights unfold, besides, she had always had a flair for the dramatic.

Hades quickly noticed that the entire cantina was watching, smoke and blood emitting from the dead body. He just murdered someone in cold blood... or oil...

He flung his blaster pistol into it's appropriate holster and gives everyone a glare, telling them without words to return to their drinks.
Why do I always wind up blasting someone?

He sensed more tech in the room, and attempted to interfere

'A few more digits aaand... I'm in. Can you hear me?'

Lumi Snow

Lumi must've blacked out for a moment from the heat. She needed liquid and she needed it fast. She could feel her very frail body beginning to quiver and reach a dangerous zone of dehydration. She drew a hypodermic needle from her satchel and a bottle of pure water. She rolled her sleeve up and began to administer her water intravaneously. Coolness began to flood her body and she felt her body begin to leave the red zone.

She heard in her mind murmurs of the collective anger. Destruction. Hurting. There was even a blaster shot or --- how many? She didn't know. But it stopped and she was grateful. She hated violence.

"My leather? Oh, right," she said remembering the question she had been asked. "It helps to," she hesitated. Should she tell him? She couldn't tell. Often affected people and they way they viewed her. "It helps with things," she said at last. "Medical reasons you could say."

It was true. There were things it helped her for. And they were medical. Her train of thought was stopped by someone else. An argument. Her ears didn't hear voices but her mind heard the voices arguing about shooting someone or--some violence. She hated violence.

She turned to face the figure beside her. Her eyes were closed still but to those who could see, it made a difference, she had come to learn. The half-Mirlaku gave her most pleasant smile she could muster, all things considered.

"Hello," she said as cheerily as she could. "Are you," how could she said it inconspicously, "Alright? You don't look so good."

Then she cringed insides. She was clearly blind. But hopefully she could play it off, somehow. Hopefully--

Who was she kidding? That was an epic fail.

Hades noticed the half-Mirlaku. He chuckled a bit inside, but he quickly righted himself. It's not funny to make fun of blind people.
He picked up the unconscious bounty hunter and the Scientist with great ease and quickly exited, making way for his landspeeder.

Lypheen awoke to gunfire. What was happening? Oh yes, now he remembered. The massacre. He didn't want to do this. But one day people would remember the name of Lypheen Grath. He picked up his blaster and ran to a booth. A Sullustan, a Rodian, and an Ishi Tib sat inside.

"Put your hands up" He started to go blurry, "Or I shoot!"

By now everyone in the cantina was watching. The occupants of the booth were in fear. He had them where he wanted them.

"This is what happens when you do not appreciate Lypheen Grath!" He started to wobble.

"I think he's a bit drunk." the Rodian whispered to the Ishi Tib.

"Shhhh, Sleemee" the Ishi Tib said back.

"What? He is acting crazy! We are going to get killed!" Sleemee said, louder this time.

BANG!

Sleemee was dead now. The other two cowered in fear.

"I will kill the other two if I do not receive 100,000 credits in the next MINUTE!" Lypheen screamed.

Lypheen was coming to his senses now. He started to shake. He didn't know what he had done. He regretted it. He started to fall, but caught himself on the booth table. He started to tremble. Tears ran down his face. He held the gun up to his head. He was about to pull the trigger. But he fell unconscious.

So THAT was his name.

Hades realized he picked up the wrong hunter, so he drops the body and picks up Lypheen instead, all while holding the leather clad woman.

I just wanted to find some karking work...

Lumi felt the life-Force of a being snuffed from existence as she was being--carried? It was so intense it transcended her physical sense. Her atrophied muscles tensed in a spasm and she fell limp in Hades' arms. Then she could hear in the thoughts. Fear. Pain. Agony. Terror.

What was going on? Her Force sight, darn it was so off, she had to do what she didn't want to more than anything else. But it had to be done. She swallowed and reluctantly--removed her glove. Her thin and fragile fingers reached out and touched the center of the pain, the regret. What all the terror was centered around.

As her skin touched his, the telepathic fields opened intensely, the barrier between minds was opened without resolve, she entered his smokey, wispy unconscious mind, sending gentle, healing thoughts: its ok. You don't have to do this. You are cared for. You are accepted.

Hades felt something... off. Then he noticed the woman removed her glove. She seemed so fragile. Hades loosened his grip on the woman just a tiny bit, just to make sure he wasn't crushing her to death.

Lypheen felt something. He was still unconscious though. It was...strange.

Its ok. You don't have to do this. You are cared for. You are accepted.

NO. NO. GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

His anger caused him to awake. He waved his arms and struggled. The woman inside of his head was there. He knew it was her. She jumped back in fear. The droid had him now. What was happening?! He still struggled.

"Get away from me!" He screamed. "Let me go!"

He reached for his blaster, but it had fallen. Stupid droid. Doesn't he know how expensive blasters are? He just left it at the cantina! Well, he had bigger problems. Like where he was going. Or how to get out of here. But his injuries were too bad. He once again blacked out.
