Strengths:
  • Norris Root Dye. Holds up to a blaster bolt or glancing lightsaber blow.
  • Thermal Retention. Breathable, organic tomuon wool is comfortable in varied environments and retains its thermal insulating properties even when wet.
Weaknesses:
  • No Sonic/EMP Protection.
  • No Kinetic Protection.
  • Light Armor. This will hold up to a glancing blow from a lightsaber. Repeated strikes or prolonged exposure will light the wool on fire at best and utterly destroy it at worst. Similarly, repeated blaster strikes are going to overwhelm the protection offered by the dye.

Obsidian Robes are an option for those Knight Obsidian trainees who prefer a traditional Jedi/Sith look, wish to blend in when partaking of joint training exercises with allies, or just need something comfortable to spar in so not to ruin their GARUDA or NEXU armor. Constructed of tomuon wool, the fibers of the robes are impregnated with a Norris Root dye. The saturation of the clothing fibers imparts a natural, organic resistance to plasma based weapondry, such as blasters or lightsabers. This layer of protection is incidental and will not withstand repeated strikes, but is exceptional for such a lightweight garment.
