Special Features:
Strengths:
Shielded - Unlike many Emergence vehicles, the Trident is equipped with a Ray Shield for added protection
Submersible - Intended to provide artillery support to coastal assaults or Oceanic Planets, the Trident is fully submersible
Weaknesses:
Dedicated Propulsion - Out of the water, the Trident has to rely only on its Repulsorlifts which are much slower than its water-based Waterjets
ION/EMP Vulnerability - Powered by RTSCE's, the Trident is vulnerable to EMP/Ion Interference. If disabled during a fire mission (Launching missiles), the Trident will most likely sink. Due to the open vents during firing, sinking will flood the internals and cripple/destroy the vessel
Description:
Deployed on Ocean Worlds or near Beaches, the Trident is the first iteration in Ocean-Based artillery. Armed with an array of Laser Cannons and up to 48 missiles, the Trident can provide intense artillery support for beach assaults and deal plenty of damage to instalments on Ocean Worlds.
Propelled by powerful Waterjets, the Trident will emerge from under the water only when it needs to open fire. Being watertight, it can spend as long as it needs under tremendous depths and even attack underwater targets. Defended by thick alusteel, a ray-shield and an assortment of Chaff/Flare dispensers, the Trident is a formidable tank.
