STRENGTHS
  • Long Range Efficiency: As expected from an Ion Cannon, but in particular the patented Ion 'pulse' cannons created by Nargath Holdings, the range of shots fired by this weapon far exceed the general range of most comparable, contemporary weapon placements of the same kind within the same class.
  • Well protected: The ICP1 is equipped with an internal ray shield, protecting most of its internal components from blaster fire or from ricochet issues, improving its safety of use and defensive capacity by a vast marhin.
  • High Stopping power: As expected from any sort of Ion cannon placement, it can boast a high stopping power, making it a staple for any ship, vehicle or base wishing to have both a large offensive capacity and the general feeling of security and safety.
WEAKNESSES
  • Small ammunition capacity: Due to the large amount of expended power to create a single shot with this cannon, it's ammunition capacity is slightly lower than comparable weaponry in its class, with cooldown and reloading needed after but a few shots.
  • Less Maneuvrable: Unlike turbolasers, the Ion cannons are affixed to their position, with the angle of firing wholly dependant on the weapon placement's position.
DESCRIPTION

To further increase their presence on the market of ship based weapon placements, N&Z Umbrella Corporation has allowed for their subsidiary: Nargath Holdings, to redesign and simplify the original Heavy Ion Pulse canon (the taurus) to be more suitable for a wider range of ships in all classes. For this reason, the weapon's weight had been brought down considerably, it's size markedly being reduced, while maintaining the same use of high quality materials and parts to provide similar quality and reliability as the precessecor Taurus model. In addition to this, like with their other new line of weapons, Nargath Holdings has decided to install internal ray shielding within the weapon's outer shell, to provide additional structural safety and security against enemy fire and sabotage.
