STANDARD FEATURES

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Resistant to force-based illusions: Due to the use of Kyberslag refraction crystals as the lenses, these cybernetic optical apertures are capable of discerning fiction from reality in terms of force-based and force induced illusions to a certain degree, though this only counts for those that have not been triggered by an affected mind and thus are strictly optically induced.
  • Litany of functions: These optical apertures are capable of recording, different spectrums of light, microscopic view, auto-targeting, colorchanging, holo and datanet connections, making these technological marvels a step beyond the reality and capability of most mortal eyes. Lending extra capacity and ability to those who either need this in the field of their work or as a means to ease the transision from their natural eyes to eyes such as these.
  • Can be altered appearance wise on demand: While they have a standard colorchanging feature, the size of these apertures can be adjusted, as well as the shape in order to fit not just all humanoid races, but also those of a non-standard bodyplan.
STRENGTHS
  • Durable and highly efficient design
  • highly adjustable to taste and desire
  • highly customizable to fit any need
  • highly encrypted utilizing the most modern quantum technology
  • varied uses and view-modes
WEAKNESSES
  • Initial discomfort and 'getting used to' is to be expected
  • despite very realistic design, there are still certain visual cues to the cybernetic nature of the aperture
  • may have issues with ionic residue and EMP
DESCRIPTION
The NZ ICON or Integrated Cybernetic Optical Nerve-replacement is an optical aperture which not just replaces the eyeball, but also repairs and replaces any damaged parts of the optical nerve all the way to the brain stem. this compact, sleek and highly efficient design was another of the EnSol division's masterpieces, meant to further delve into both the cybernetic market, but also to be presented as a medical marvel, a means to reach out to the visually impaired, the traumatized, the veterans of combat. As it had to be expected by the N&Z, the NZ ICON is not just a mere eye'replacement, but effectively brings the full technological might of the N&Z in a small package, granting people utilizing this cybernetic component a greater insight (pun intended), allowing it to not only function as a daily life replacement of any visual organ, but also as a means for 'certain' high risk, demanding professions to be granted a greater upgrade to their own capabilities and capacities.

Built out of a sturdy, microscopic, cellular nano structure utilizing the boundlessly applicable ersteel SLCA compound in combination with materials found in the HPI catalogue, the NZ ICON provides a sturdy and durable frame alongside strong efficiency and electrical stability. Though it does have potential weaknesses against ionic residue, which may distort the view in several viewing modes (such as the microscopic view and the targeting computer), or EMP which may damage any open components though must be of a high caliber to fully fry even the Neuron core.
