When discussing countermeasures against Force-sensitive adversaries, ysalamiri are widely regarded as the gold standard for defense. Yet their utility is constrained by significant limitations. The organisms themselves are biologically fragile, their population scarce and fiercely guarded, and their nullification field indiscriminate in scope, suppressing not only hostile Force activity but also that of allied Force users. His objective was to furnish non Force sensitive operatives, such as the Antarian Rangers, with a reliable form of protection while preserving the operational freedom of friendly Force users.
