Description: Standing at around five feet tall, these bulky droids are used to generate ear splitting sonic attacks of various natures. Able to emit various pitches and frequencies, the impact can be anywhere from focused to widespread, each causing differing effects. With incredibly powerful audio capabilities, these sonic attacks are able to completely immobilize those within range, often dropping them to the ground in reflexive defense. Higher, more focused pitches can cause bleeding of the ears, temporary deafness, and even burst the eardrums in most organic life forms. A less used variation allows for a blast of sonic vibration with the intent of shattering glass and similar crystal material. Despite being non-lethal alternatives to combat, the droids are surprisingly bulky with heavy set armor and slower movements. Their strength is in their sonic attacks, followed only by their durable shelling. Intelligence is nearly inapplicable, and speed is certainly nothing to brag about. Stealth has no application with this droid, either, its commands as simple as movement and one of the numerous sound based options. The collective sound of two or three is said to render even the strongest opponents immobile, so the rumor goes. As this super-sonic frequency attack is the main/only purpose of the NN-1 Sonic Droid, its effective range can be rather intimidating, stretching up to fifty feet or more. Indoors, for example, the range would increase through echo and reflection. The droids are shipped with specialized ear protection devices, small devices which slip over the ear. Each droid is shipped with only one pair, though more can be purchased, and Nastass-Tech carries other sound protective armoring.
