STANDARD FEATURES
  • Each crew station are also deployable escape pods built from titanium and transparisteel with a full survival kit built into a compartment in the bottom of each crewman's seat.
  • Large bomb bay with enough room to hold several dozen proton bombs in vertical racks or revolving canisters with a selection of proton torpedoes, different missiles, or to hold cargo canisters or other specialized munitions.
  • A deflector shield generator located in the neck of the bomber between the bombardier and the cockpit.
  • Missile decoy launchers for chaff, EM emitters, and flares.
  • Low-power jamming equipment for ground-launched weapons systems located in the ventral hull in front of the bomb bay.
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • The bomber possesses a powerful targeting computer able to guide multiple guided munitions to their targets.
  • Advanced avionics allow this craft to maneuver in ways superior to the older ARC-170, a designed fighter.
  • Target-guidance for its laser cannon turrets for self-defense.
  • Has foldable wings for compact storage when not on flight status.
STRENGTHS
  • Large bomb load and flexible payload packages.
  • Capable armaments.
  • Fast and maneuverable for a bomber its size.
  • Simple to produce and construct, meaning entire bomb groups of a dozen squadrons can be dispatched on large bombing raids.
WEAKNESSES
  • With a full bombload it is vulnerable to a hit to the bomb bay which can result in a massive explosion.
  • Large crew compliment for a craft its size.
  • Never going to outrun or outmaneuver dedicated fighters.
  • It's a large craft, a large target when in a rigid level bombing formation.
DESCRIPTION
A simple craft, the NTB-1010 is a dedicated heavy bomber whose designers have managed to patch in modern engines and avionics into its substantial frame to take advantage of its large bomb bay. While not as nimble or as fast as dedicated strike fighters like Y-Wings these bombers are fully capable of keeping up with their own fighter escorts and deploy on long-range strike missions deep into hostile territory and mass together to fight their way to their targets and deliver massive bomb-loads or missile volleys onto their targets with pin-point accuracy or, if needed, to carpet bomb entire areas. The foldable wings of these fighters and their advanced targeting computers and fire control systems even in space make the NTB-1010 a standard attack craft for CRAF space forces who require long-range strikes against targets that would make deployment of a squadron of warships uneconomical, and in fleet engagements these bombers are capable battleship killers when deployed correctly and given adequate cover fire and escort. While not a nimble strike fighter, this will do the job but RPers beware, alone these bombers are vulnerable, but in large formations or with enough fighter escort very few targets are safe.

BIG Z1776 BIG Z1776 - Sorry for the delay, but the only thing I've seen that's outta sorts is the link used for the image source - as it leads to a blank page. I've noticed that this has become a recent issue with any Wiki-linked image, so my recommendation here is to link the article that the image came from, rather than the image itself.
