Built for firepower and durability, suitable for attack missions. Unlike the much swifter tractor and light attack drones, the heavy attack drone does not chase down the enemy. It is designed to destroy the enemy with concentrated and coordinated firepower. Much slower and less agile, the HF drone is consequentially much more durable, and contains heavier fire power.
Though it is classified as a heavy fighter, the HF functions much more like a bomber, relying on firepower rather than maneuverability and speed to destroy its targets. Working in concert, a squadron can cause problems for even small capital ships, with heavy laser cannons, missiles, bombs, and torpedoes. These craft are intended to work in concert with the faster NSLR drones, which can disable and slow down an enemy, so that the HF drones can close in and destroy further resistance.
