Noverskaa Engagment

[Ravenfire]

Tom sat at the waterfall of peace on the planet of Noverskaa. He was wearing his work clothes but he wasn't working instead he was meditating. He had finished up early and had left Genesis in charge so he could spend sometime alone with the animals. The trees swayed softly in the winds around him.

The air was alive with something. It soon turned out to be a owl made of air being followed by an owl that radiated the light side. Underneath both a cat-like creature that radiated the dark side ran along following. The light and the dark were good friends on this world. On other worlds the owl grew stronger while the cat grew wearer but here they were equal. Just like everything here was equal.

It was with this thought that Tom meditated on his family and on his future.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes Vatak sighed. He wanted to look good, and had tidied himself up. He could feel [member="Tom Taff"] nearby, and started on his way to meet him. And paused, spying the spirits. He remembered when he first met them. And what he had caused. The memory flashed for a second, and he blocked it quickly. Even for a second, it could prove to be very dangerous. "Uh, h-" he stopped himself. Tom was meditating, and it may not have been best to interrupt.

Tom felt [member="Mykes Vatak"] before he saw the man. For a second he felt the memory, that moment where Mykes and him bonded. It might have been painful for Mykes but Tom opened up how he remembered it sending that to Mykes. The level of love he had felt at that moment. The level he had truly felt he had bonded with Mykes on. It was to show another light on the memory. Especially since Tom would never get rid of the animals. They were his last connection to his father before the tragic event.

He finished meditating as Mykes went to speak. He kept the force air owl going. He got up hugging the man using the bond to show him his true feelings. He looked deep into Mykes eyes before saying to him "Would you do this honour?" Through the bond sending him ideas of marriage, of them happy that night with the comets. Of even when he had thought he had lost him how sorrow he had felt and then how much seeing him again had brought him happiness.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes was immediately hugged after he had spoken. And felt warm all over from the bonded feelings they shared, sighing against him. Do this honor? Now that, that he was confused, till ideas came through. And he froze up. Mykes had to be honest, thoughts such as these had come through. [member="Tom Taff"] earned a smile, a warm smile of acceptance. And Mykes just hoped Tom wouldn't feel the box he held in his pocket. "S-So uh, how are you doing today?"

That smile from [member="Mykes Vatak"] was all he needed. He broke the hug quickly and got down on one knee with a ring. "Mykes Vatak will marry me, here on this planet in about a weeks time from now in this exact spot? This is the first spot we truly had true love. I love you will all my heart and I want nothing in this life time except for you."

He would place the ring on Mykes finger and hug him again. "Dear you have something in your pocket. Are you going to show me what it is love?" He would ask waiting to see what Mykes did.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes broke the hug with [member="Tom Taff"]. Then he went brain dead, almost fainted. He almost did, even as Tom was speaking. And then...slowly he nodded. He was literally bouncing on his heels, trying not to shout out in excitement. Trying to keep himself reserved in this time. And then he was hugged and he tried to play it off. "I...maybe I'm just...happy to s..." He shook his head, not believing he almost said that and stepped back. And stepped down and popped it.

"I...okay I didn't exactly prepare this. But you make me so happy. How we bonded that first time, I felt so much. And you felt so much. So would you do me the honor?" The ring had cost so much of his salary, but he didn't even care.

Tom nearly fainted. "Yes [member="Mykes Vatak"], a thousand times yes. Also remind me to increase your wage and make you part of the board. I need a friendly voice in it." He place the ring on. Then he kissed Mykes and in one fluid motion took the man off his feet. "Come on let's make it official."

The next day.

Tom looked at Mykes. "So I guess we need to put out invites then don't we?" He held Mykes tight in his arms. "How do you feel if I invite anyone who wants to come along and celebrate with us? Is there anything else we need to do before i send out invites?" He would smile he wanted to make this moment very very memorable.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes was so glad to hear that, and he enacted the same action as [member="Tom Taff"] had done so with him. And he placed the ring over his finger. Then suddenly, Mykes was off his feet while kissing the man he loved. Till the next day...


Mykes tapped a finger to his chin. "Um...you know more people than me, dear" Mykes said to him. "How many do you plan on?" he asked to Tom, curious just how many people Tom had in mind of bringing round here.

Tom would hold his loved one. "Well all Clan Australis, along with anyone from the CSA, ME and anyone else who shows up." Tom would look at Mykes. "I promise there won't be any crazies like in Cassi and Raiz's wedding. Especially if I can get the mand'alor to show up as well. Plus if anyone does our company will deal with them. Plus you know how Kaine can get at times." He would say with a laugh.

"Lets just hope [member="Rex Taff"] and his band of merry crazies doesn't show up yea. I love dad but he is way to fair gone to be of any use. I know I have an auntie with the SJO she would definitely come along. What about your family love? You have mentioned them before, would they show up?" Tom would ask knowing his own family was fairly broken up.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes Vatak was unsure how he felt with that. So many people...he was never one that usually liked crowds. He laughed with him, nervously though. And he didn't want to say anything about how [member="Tom Taff"] wanted so many, not wanting to hurt his feelings or anything like that. He did not want to do that.

Mykes' face faltered, and paled. Rex...yes. Tom's father, and things had gone sideways. Somehow, his father had disappeared and now things were bad. "My family...I don't know. I haven't talked to them in a while" he admitted, looking a bit down.

 

[Ravenfire]

Tom could sense the unease off of [member="Mykes Vatak"]. "You get nervous around crowds I should have remembered. Something private then. You, Me, My auntie and only select members of Clan Australis." Tom said with a smile. "Sorry dear, I should have remembered your unease. You decide how many can come." He would kiss Mykes cheek.

"You should invite your family along anyways love. I have always wanted to meet them." He would say with a smile "Unless, they haven't gone missing have they Mykes?" Tom would ask now worried about the man in his arms.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes nodded, he got nervous a lot. "Dear no, you decide. I gotta get past it eventually" he said, he was sure of himself. He would have to get past it. In a galaxy like this Mykes would need to be in groups. He would need to get past it. And he hoped that he would, with [member="Tom Taff"]'s help that is.

"Just haven't talked to them in a while" Mykes answered, a bit slouched. "They haven't gone missing. Last I heard, they were going place to place. Job to job...much like I had."

Tom would shake his head. "No dear this is our special day. We can get over your fear later on." He would continue holding [member="Mykes Vatak"] "Ahh okay would they come to a wedding if we could find them?" He asked his lover.

By this point he had already crafted half a dozen invites ready to go out. He wanted his lover to be happy first and foremost anything else would come after that.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

He guessed so, that his family would come. If Mykes knew where they were, at least then maybe they would come to see the occasion. As for his fear, Tom had many friends that were considered family. "They are family to you. Kaine, others of Australis. They are considered family. So family can come. And close friends." [member="Tom Taff"] was so kind to him, always thinking of him. He would return the favor every time that he could. But first, he would have to find his family.

 

[Ravenfire]

Tom would smile kissing [member="Mykes Vatak"]. "I promise not to many people okay. Just Kaine, Yasha and maybe a few more. Until then how about we just spend the day here. Tomorrow we can look for your family." He said with a smile wrapping his arms around Mykes before falling asleep again.
