After working on his custom shotgun Noah found that while effective against unarmored targets at close range he found that is was basically useless against armored targets so he set to creating a type of ammunition that would remedy this problem. He tested a wide variety of different shells and different materials but finally came to the decision to stick with a material that he was familiar with: beskar. After that he needed to decide on the type of shells, for armor penetration there is only two types: flechette and slug. While flechette's kept some of the shotgun aspect they weren't as effective at armor penetration so he instead went with a solid beskar.
