The information acquired in her adventures in slicing had been somewhat useful.

[Doing tonight?]

[Sounds like you have something in mind, betch.]

What it had provided was further informations about the Voices. Being that she was no all-powerful Sith Lord, or beastly member of the Yuuzhan Vong she found it hard to emulate the relationship. She imagined it was somewhat competitive, working together for the ultimate goal and vision of the Dark Lord but with that element of competition for his favour.

[Wine bar?]
[Girls! It's a school night!]

Hard to say, it's a question of loyalty and motives.

[Oh, man up!]

She had also uncovered more information about the sectors that the Voices ran, but the information there was still limited. After all the systems and projects for each sector would have been kept close to the chest of each individual Voice and not all packed into the Coruscant Temple system. That would be silly.

[Leena?]

Also, interestingly a few interactions between the voices. Messages sent regard less important matters of little note but these messages at the very least spoke of personality. She would sift through them all and compile individual reports upon the personality of each and every voice, of course, it would be noted that it could all have been for show.

[Betch, answer your WhatsHap!]

The constant vibration of her datapad became too much, the personal assistant had to check what all the buzz was about. Oh. Social life. Rain check it.

[Soz, can't come, busy with work.]

[Oh, come on! You're not going to die if you come for a drink with the girlies!]

[Yah. Got some serious goss about Doug!]

[Next week?]

There was something else of note. Names that kept coming up. Not Voices. Darth Mierin. Darth Helios. Darth Vindica. It was a new front to explore.

[Ugh.]

[Fine.]

Leena set her personal datapad down and rolled her eyes so hard that there was actually a chance of an earthquake. “Bitches.”

Say what you want about this day, but at the very least mention that it wasn’t a completely good day for Miss Mai, why would you ask yourself? Wasn’t she doing a good job with finding the concrete information her Lord was asking of her? Wasn’t she escaping the probability of an undesirable… encounter with the Sith Acolyte.

The answer to all of that was yes, but there was one thing that would down her recent success, or at least so it would seem.

Moment she stepped into the bar with her wenches, took a couple of drinks and sat down… one other person would enter the establishment.

His presence was noted immediately and whispers flew over the building.

As Leena’s eyes would meet the blue orbs of her Lord, his lips would curl into a smile.

“Oh, look who it is! Miss Busy Bones, come to grace us with her noble presence!”

The two other women glanced towards the one who had just spoken. Miss Busy Bones was hardly A material when it came down to being sassy with your girlfriends. Usually they were just reserved to calling each other sluts and bitches. Miss Busy Bones, on the other hand was possible a character from a children's book, who likely worked really hard until her very bones ached and groaned and only in the end does she learn to find time for herself.

Also, she's like a big pink amorphous blob with two eyes and flowery bonnet.

Knew you couldn't resist a drink.”

Standard alcoholic.”

“Naturally,” Leena finally said with a wry grin wired across her features, and without even gracing the presence of her friends table first made the first trip to the bar. One red, one white and one purple wine, colour-coded friends for your convenience and for Miss Mai herself a more sugary affair, a muja daiquiri, Force knows she needed the sugar to kick start her tired engines.

With a practised hand, she carried all four drinks over to the table and sat down, emotionally prepared to hear about this Doug character and whether or not Kerstie had slept with him yet. Not very likely, out of the four man band she was the least loose with those lips.

Then it happened. Of course it happened. Heads started turning and at first she took no note but then upon glancing upwards with the cocktail at her lips their eyes met.

“Palpatine's pecker!” she exclaimed into the fruity concoction.

The girls cottoned on quickly. “Well hello there, sailor,” purred Leiah, who had clearly still not shaken off her nonsense phrases, Leena imagined that she was already well sunk into a bottle of purple wine before they met up. That or she had started a secret spice habit that left her sounding like a bag of vapid cliches.

Fight or flight occurred. She couldn't let him come over to here, not to this table of wine-fueled estrogen. Miss Mai stood bolt upright, causing her chair to scrape loudly across the floor, drawing complete attention to herself. Of course he would be here. Oh, when she was working hard, risking her skin, getting propositioned by creeps, he was nowhere to be found! But when she took a moment of leisure he would be here to witness it all!

Bloody typical!

With her daiquiri left upon the table she marched over to him, leaving her girls to titter and giggle behind her back. The heels clicked across fine black granite floor tiles. “My Lord,” she said, surprise lacing the tone of her voice, “it's...quite a surprise to see you here...”

She paused, a frown gracing those features.

“Is....is there a problem?”

The Sith Lord simply smiled while studying the forms of her girls behind her, then he spoke with a quiet voice so they wouldn’t be overheard by the little birdies sitting and chittering.

‘Hmm… I do not know, miss. Mai. Is there a problem? You seem… a tad nervous, why is that?’

Again he smiled, pretending he didn’t understand that this visit was all the cause of the ruckus and more.

OOC: I AM SORRY. I AM BRAIN DEAD :'(

Instantly there was a raising of the eyebrow, the question was a minefield of potential wrong answers and displeased Sith Lords, that was to say if wasn't already displeased, what with her mild case of socialising and all.

For a moment the eyebrow remained and Leena's flitted across the features of the man's face trying to get a reading of something, anything but there was nothing. Her employer was truly a creature of the cryptic and in that moment the accused eyebrow hopped down from the lofty perch of curiosity and returned to its sibling.

“I am nervous because....because...”

The failed sentence was met with a frown, what would she do? Lie? Keep it all in? She could hear her girls titter behind her. Confidence, Leena. You are a smart, sassy young woman and you can say whatever you like.

“I am nervous because you are a Sith,” she conceded, looking him in the eye with her belligerent blues, she too kept her tones hushed enough to avoid making a scene, or giving the girls any ammunition, “A mysterious Sith. Not only that, a powerful Sith Lord to boot.”

Accosted by an Apprentice, almost assaulted by a Knight, she just needed a Lord to make her triple triad of workplace misfortune complete.

“I am nervous because while I have been working incredibly hard and doing some fairly illicit things to complete the task you have given me, the first time you see me is not working, but instead socialising, no, drinking even.”

Leena sighed, finally breaking eye contact and shifting her gaze to the floor at their feet. “You hear....you hear stories about the Sith. I don't want to....die...because I decided to dabble in a daiquiri after work, you know?”

Atta girl, get your big brave shoes on.

For a while the Sith Lord watched as his assistant was laying out her heart and fears to him, it was amusing to say the least. Mostly because he was so far above such little worries that it hadn’t even come up to him that someone would worry about such trivial matters, and yet… here she was sharing such things with him. Balls on this girl… Carach thought with some pleasure, perhaps she wasn’t entirely useless yet.

He patted her shoulder and then walked past her, whispering in her ear as he moved to her friends.

‘You will not die today, Leena Mai. Worry not.’

His body brushed hers and then he left her standing there, walking up to her friends with a warm smile perking proudly on his lips.

So there she was, fears on the table, heart on her sleeve, rectum clenched tighter than a rabbit's nose. Would Lord Carach draw his weapon and render Leena's head from her shoulders? Was this the end, my friend?

Evidently not.

The exhale of relief that came from his statement was only followed by a slow quizzical blink as he waltzed straight past her and towards a certain table. Oh Force no, what was he....he wouldn't...you can't just... Sith Lord or no, approaching a table of somewhat intoxicated blathering oestrogen filled twenty-somethings was a dangerous act indeed. I mean she knew Kerstie and Laur'in were safe but what about Leiah?

Bloomin' heck! WHAT ABOUT LEIAH!?

As she turned on her heel the world was plunged into slow motion, the Sith Lord's steps so ominous as her predatory friend's eyes settled upon him, she might as well have been in heat for all it was worth.

Don't sexually harrass the Sith Lord. Don't sexually harrass the Sith Lord.

“Well hello, tall, dark and sexy.”

Kerstie and Laur'in shot concerned glances to Leena, who could only squeak in exasperation as she rushed back to the table to try and prevent...well...this.

At least you didn't call him a sailor...
