Nine Tails, Thirty-Two Rounds

It was a cold, arid day on in the marble-clad forge city of Exodus Prime. Aynea had been personally invited to have a firsthand look at a particular weapon platform that she had shown interest in having developed to Ri'ess Regal Drive Industries just weeks ago. A private shuttle escorted the foxtress and her new lover to the moon Sikune, deep in the Sol-Umbra system on the far rim of the galaxy. Upon arriving by the planet, a miniature world of wonder, color and liveliness filled her view as the shuttle drew closer and closer; below it, a planet masked in hues of fiery orange and wondrous oceanic teals that clashed into a beautiful collage of blending light.
"So.... How are you feeling, darling? I'm really glad you came all this way with me, ya know." Aynea asked.
She was a bit apprehensive and even a little worried her partner didn't want to be there. She didn't know about the High Queen or former business dealings between the two. Caressing her own still-flat belly in her arms, she decided to dismiss any thoughts in lieu of those of her child to be.

"I'm feeling pretty good. The High Queen's a decent enough lady, from what I know. Just relax and keep yourself calm." A soft smile hit her face as she gently began to massage Aynea's shoulders, calm and relaxed in the face of future weapons testing. From what the Vinithi knew, Aynea wished to get to work on a brand new blaster pistol design, a repeating one. A machine pistol, from what Circe understood. Her company never was that primarily a weapon company, after all.

Then again, the Mnenchei did overengineer things to insane levels. Perhaps this weapon would be no different.

Aynea crossed her arms over her chest to lay her hands on Circe's own. A soft smile struck her face and she sighed in relief, comforted both by the massage and the caress of her partner. The shuttle slowly began to descend into the atmosphere. The glow of the two suns slowly faded to vibrant hues of the moon's teal artificial atmosphere. It landed softly on a circular stone landing pad somewhere off on the edge of town. A beautiful white light permeated from the combined suns and filled their surroundings with lush color.
"Ma'am. Mistress." The rear latch operator nodded at each of the two women, then reaching for an apparatus of some sort from the side of the shuttle bay and handing it to the two. Rebreathers, they weren't absolutely necessary but the oxygen-xenon bases type-II atmosphere would be very dense and run them out of breath with the slightest continued strain. Not to mention, their voices, well... they'd be much deeper than they might really appreciate from all the dense noble gasses mixed with the oxygen.

"I love you."

Those three tender words would be the last thing Aynea would hear before they went outside, the rebreather being placed on her face. As a plant, she didn't necessarily need it, but she chose to wear in in order to not suffer from having a very deep and manly voice. Smiling, she placed her arms over Aynea's shoulders, following the lovely foxtress as the two walked towards the castle. The woman's tails were tickling her a bit, and she was trying hard not to laugh.

"Oh, so the mean, vicious does laugh after all, hmmm?" Aynea jested, twirling the ends of her fluffy tails against her partner. "Uh, Circe? You know those recycle oxygen, right?"
The vixen waved her wrist at one of the escorts to come, asking for his issued data pad. Flicking through tabs and lists, she linked it up to her address which had the spec file sent over to her on. "It says here that it only holds twelve shots per battery. Good news is they're disposable clips. Hmm... repeating generator with a fairly high rate of speed. Composite weave frame means light weight. It's not very big either, according to this. Ah, and a beautiful vardium and cobalt polished finish. I'm looking forward to seeing them!" the woman trailed off.
"Almost there, ladies."

"It's still a most intriguing gun, one I'd certainly support utilizing. Though I digress - why do you show off all the luxury and whatnot, darling?" She sighed, stroking her partner's ears. "Functionality is always superior to looks, after all..." She nuzzled her lips against the fox-woman's ear, gently licking the interior with her tongue. "Aynea... What else can we get accomplished?"

She wanted work to be done.

"This is the first man-portable firearm ever made by RRDI. I'd say it was quite the accomplishment. So, who cares how it looks? The beauty certainly doesn't hurt," the foxtress jubilantly replied.
Aynea was happily trailing off when suddenly, she was subvertly caught by a lick in the ear.
"Nnnn! No, please Circe. Not in public like this. You know how it gets me."
The duo finally arrived, their little chat killing all of the time it took just getting there. They entered a small room with a long, narrow corridor on the opposite end, a firing range in fact. There, by the first of several booths, lied two of the nicest handheld blasters in the galaxy. The escort corpsman nodded to the couple and gently closed the soundproof door behind them.
"Aaaah. Wow! They're so perfect and cute!" She paused. "Oh no, are you thinking what I think you're thinking? At least after we test these out?" Aynea smiled coyishly, fangs gently pressed against her smiling lips.

"I'm pretty sure I do..." She gave a sharp grin, licking her lips as she looked the fox-woman over. They were admittedly quite the sight to behold. Something sort of like a blaster version of the Crown Jewels. Eagerly, she prepared to pick them up, because she knew at least one thing about this entire ordeal.

She and Aynea were gonna have fun.

Aynea raised her eyebrow at her Vinithi lover.
"Babe, are you sure you're looking at the same guns as I?" she giggled. "Let's get started."
The cunning vixen grabbed one of the pistols in her hand, locking its cartridge battery in with the counter while grabbing her lover by the waist in her other. She brought her body close to her own, slowly licking up the cyllinder of the pistol, then cupped her lips over Circe's own. From the corner of her eyes, all while holding her partner close and making out, her arm raised outstretched and fired small burt after burst into a paper doll twenty five meters down range.
For a compact machine pistol, it was pretty hefty. Good old German ingenuity - whoops, wrong galaxy.

Circe watched with one eye open as her lover both made out with her and fired a pistol at the same time. It was impressive what Aynea could do... Gods, Circe loved her dearly. She was passionate, intelligent, and caring. But then, Circe had a very, very wicked thought. "Darling, this is a weapon's range... You know, they likely have vibroswords here. And if we took the vibroswords and combined them with what's in your pockets..."

Vibro-Vibros. The opposite of swords, which were blade-blades.

"I'm far ahead of you, babe." she giggled and grinned, "And I don't have pockets!"
Aynea let go of Circe for a moment to grab another battery cell and swap out the spent one for it. The ejection button was relatively easy to reach and the cell fit in clear and without flaw. Aynea looked up at the paper doll and scowled, realizing she had only hit it a few times in random places. A soft chuckle escaped her mouth.
"Heh, maybe I should focus on this for now. You wanna give it a try?"
Aynea offered Circe the pistol, bringing the grip over to her.

"Sure..." She smiled, giving a soft look over the pistol as she aimed it at the paper target. Several shots rang out as the blaster bolts formed a tight spread pattern. All the while, Aynea would be working with her other equipment, letting Circe continue to shoot. "Ah... There we go. That's good."

She grinned, the weapon having performed splendidly as she turned back around.

"Not bad," Ashelotte said while she loaded and charged the other pistol, "But what about fifty meters?"
She hit a button on some controls which dropped a second paper doll and ran it down a rail roughly a hundred and fifty feet away, by the end of the range. Carefully lifting her arm up, bent straight forward, she traced her eye down its glass sight to the head of the target and slowly held her breath in place. With three quick bursts ringing out, she shot the head, heart and lower torso in succession. The spreads were wide but there were definitely kill shots in the mix; better then she could have hoped for out of such a small, rapid weapon.
"Well, the damage might be weaker past optimal range but it will still kill all the same with the right amount of shots."

"Indeed. It's a nice gun you've got... but I'm more worried about another pair of guns, who belong to someone who's just been disassembling those vibroswords and turning the vibroblades into vibro-vibros. Naughty girl." She gave a smirk as she looked over the foxtress, reveling in the woman's comfort. It was great to see the two of them together like this.

"I'm interested in seeing what you made."

Ashelotte has a dumbfounded look on her face. She slowly turned to reveal, unsurprisingly, the other gun. She held it up close to their face so it was nice and obvious, while she raised an eyebrow at Circe with a quizzical expression.
"What else did you think I meant?" She sighed, "Besides, do I look like I'm made of magic? I can't spawn things from thin air.... Well," Ashelotte giggled, "Don't answer that."
She knew Circe would have made a joke or silly, perverse comment about it.
"C'mon. The quicker we get this done, the sooner we can 'borrow' some of those things you were looking for."

"Whatever you say, darling." Circe's smile stuck as she smirked, looking the weapon over as she suddenly raised it once more, firing again into the cluster of paper targets. She greatly enjoyed the minimalistic recoil and issues that the pistol provided, as well as it's accuracy. The weapon and its sister would serve Aynea exceptionally well during their time existing.

"I like the mid-range accuracy of the weapon. It's nice compared to the close-range accuracy of the standard blaster pistol.
