Nils is a quick study and finds it very easy to grasp new concepts whether concepts of the mind, or concepts of tactics and strategy. He has become quite adept at learning new maneuvers and formations with ease. By studying holo-vids of his enemies in action he is able to teach himself the vulnerabilities of various spacecraft as well as develop his own style of flying further. He always has a holo-vid recorder mounted on his craft for future playback.

Due to his ability to grasp new concepts and learn rapidly in addition with his upbringing, he's been in the seat of a spacecraft for almost as much time as he's been out of a cockpit. He has risen quickly through the general rabble of starfighter pilots due to his ever increasing skill and tenacity in flight. Despite his young age, he has impressed both allies and enemies alike with his flying and gunning.

Due to his analytical nature, Nils handles stressful situations with ease. His mind is able to focus on important bits of information that might go looked over and exploit them if he sees it is advantageous. Also a result of his highly analytical mind, he is able to maintain a high level of spacial awareness while in the cockpit of a fighter ship, regardless of the speed or intensity of the flying.

Nils has an aggressive personality, always one of the first to dive in and get his hands dirty. This carries over into his flying style, he likes to get extremely close before goes in for the kill, allowing him to make maximum efficiency of his weapons systems though this can be dangerous both in combat and in day to day life as it can lead him to picking fights that would much better be handled by diplomacy or discussion. He can come across as angry or rude but this is also a strength as it can increase the speed at which things get done and is situational.

Like most pilots, Nils has had his fair share of near death experiences. Rather than attribute his survival to his skill as a pilot (Though he does that as well) he follows small strange rituals before he goes into combat. Examples include: Eating certain foods before a combat mission, running through pre-flight checks in a specific manner, attributing his survival to a mantra he says before he gets into the cockpit, etc. While not inherently a "Weakness" it could be seen as such by some or cause interruptions.

Nils' attitude on life is somewhat bleak, his belief that everyone's got a date with death and that nothing someone does will change when and how that happens. As such he's developed a habit of smoking, his excuse that if he's gonna die anyway, it can't really hurt.

Nils Brenner is of typical pilot build, thin and not overly tall. Despite his thin frame he packs a pretty decent punch due to his strict physical training routine, generally running no less than 3 miles a day either through the corridors of the ship or on a treadmill in the recreational cabin. His dark hair is almost always worn slicked back, and neatly trimmed. Hazel eyes accent his appearance, matching his brown hair.
