    • Blasters:
    • Very High
    • Kinetic: Average
    • Lightsabers: High

SPECIAL FEATURES

Helm:
  • Highly Encrypted Comlink (voice controlled)
  • Holonet link (with encryption overlay)
  • Scanners:
    • Thermal
    • Infrared
    • Acoustic
    • X-Ray
    • Lifeform Scanner
  • Augmented Reality HUD: this is able to project information onto the user’s view and uses a pineal eye sensor to understand where the user is looking. For example it can interface with tactical and comm systems to show where an approaching drone is in the sky, or another users is through a wall. It could interface with the sighting system of a grenade launcher to show where the round will land and approximate radius. Motion/Audio Sensors: can highlight movement, or direction of a blaster shot to the user. Can interface with network to see information from other sensors.
    Audio/Visual Recorder

Other Items:

STRENGTHS

  • Stealth
  • Force Camouflage
  • Layers of light protection

WEAKNESSES

  • Electronic systems are protected but can be hacked/EMP disrupted
  • Power: most systems require power and has limited lifetime
  • Lightsabers to joints: Nightshrike armour only has armour weave as protection in the joints and these cannot withstand a significant strike from a lightsaber

DESCRIPTION

After time with Fractal State on Denon, Makko sought out new suits of armour to replace what had been provided by the cyberware gang. Through his contacts, InnoTeQ, with subcontracting AEI for alchemised components produced a limited run of equipment.

These suits are based on the heritage of the Q23 Nightshrike armour, but with modernisations aimed at inserting a Jedi into a dangerous combat situation and keeping them undetected and protected.

One of the main features of the suit is the complete stealth package. Taozin nodules, altered by a trained alchemist help hide the wearer's presence in the force. Nightshadow coatings help protect the wearer from sensors. Over the top is a fine adaptive camoflage mesh. Designed to allow the wearing to work unseen. This system uses an eletrochromatic surface that can choose from 10s of thousands of patterns and an infinite variation of colour. Using sensors it will detect the brightness and colour of its surroundings and present a new camouflage pattern. As the user moves, the pattern will adapt and sometimes shift across the user in the opposite direction to the motion to blend their outline in further.

The suit is built in layers and sealed against atmospheric dangers. A thermovoltaic mesh system sits outside of an inner body glove. This is designed to keep the surface of the suit at the temperature of the surroundings. It is only effective from 0-45C to protect against termal imaging. This leaves the outside of the suit at background temperature, negating IR sensors. The mesh is also used to interfere with common lifeform sensors that attempt to detect the bio-electric signature of living beings. The soles of the feet and elbows are cushioned to aid in silent movement.

Each system can be defeated. Battle damage will almost immediately disrupt the optical and sensor defensive measures.

Armorweave covers to whole user and then over key areas Impact Gel sits behind thing duranium plates. This provides excellent protection against kinetic and energy weapons. However, multiple strikes to an affected area will both render the gel ineffective and break the plates loose.

Between the camouflage and inner mesh, is the main body of the armor. A thin layer of armorweave covers the whole user. Over key areas (chest, thighs, shoulders) plastoid plates are used to provide additional protection.

An optional drop pack allows the user to drop for a stealth ship at low altitude into dangerous combat zones unseen. Interfacing with Skriton Probe Droids or a Spydor allows a user to extend the range of scanning. All sensory information can be processed through the augmented reality HUD, with an AI matrix ensuring that users are presented with just the right amount of information.
