SPECIAL ABILITIES

Armorweave Hood – Covers and protects the head and neck without sacrificing mobility.

Reinforced Forearms and Shin Guards – Flexible plates designed to withstand close-quarters attacks.

Utility Pockets – Hidden pockets built into the suit allow a warrior to carry tools, blaster ammo, medpacs, and survival equipment.

Weapon Channels – Knives, small weapons, and other utility blades can be strapped to the undersides of the cloak or tunic.

Durasteel Plating – Thin durasteel plates provide protection without burdening the warrior's movements.

Utility Belt – Utilized to carry grenades, tools, ammo, survival packs, and more.

Lightweight Under-layer – Wearable for long periods in hot, humid climates.

Minimal Bulk – No bulky plates like those seen on traditional Mandalorian armor.

Mounting Points – The suit comes with built-in climbing harness points and rappelling sockets.

Modular Panels – Upgrade damaged parts without having to purchase a whole new armor suit.

ADVANTAGES

High Mobility – Built around the Night Viper creed of speed and freedom of movement.

Ideal for Stealth – Armor is typically worn beneath a dark hood or cloak, making it ideal for moving unseen at night or in dark areas.

Melee Defense – Slabs of reinforced armorweave help protect against knives, shrapnel, and bladed weapons.

Lightweight – The wearer can run and move quietly with minimal exertion for long periods.

Versatile Armor – Ideal for scouting missions, assassination, infiltrating cities or facilities, hit-and-run attacks, and urban operations.

Utility Score – Large concealable pockets can be added to the suit, allowing a warrior to carry an arsenal without looking like they're hiding one.

Freedom of Movement – Armorweave allows users to fight, climb, crawl, and sprint with minimal encumbrance.

Built Around Clan Combat Doctrines – Tailored to Night Viper uses of speed and stealth instead of standard battlefield operations.

DISADVANTAGES

Light Protection – Shadowweave armor can not withstand prolonged attacks from larger weapon platforms.

Low Kinetic Resistance – Flexible armorweave does very little to protect against blows.

Weak Lightsaber Resistance – Will largely survive being cut but not focused attacks.

No Environmental Sealing – Additional protection required for high-heat, vacuum of space, toxins, or other dangerous environments.

Articulated Joints – Joints are left exposed to allow for greater mobility.

Not Heavy Duty – Not designed for extended fights with larger enemies.

Weak Blast Resistance – Lightly armored warriors are easily shredded by explosions or heavy concussive attacks.

Maintenance Required – Durasteel plating and hidden pockets need to be maintained and repaired over time.

DESCRIPTION

The NV-7 Shadowweave Combat Suit is form-fitting armor that embodies the way of the Night Viper. Remain stealthy, stay hidden, and pick your battles.

Rather than crafting a suit of armor that attempts to make its wearer stronger than opponents, the Shadowweave combines armorweave, ballistic fiberweave, and padded composite materials with defensive durasteel plating to enhance a warrior's natural abilities without becoming burdensome.

Shadowweave armor is typically worn under a hooded cloak or bulky tunic as it features dark matte colors that limit reflections and provide camouflage to travelers on the battlefield or desert hunters moving through the wilderness.

Mobility is emphasized over bulk or heavy protection. Coverage is focused on the torso, forearms, thighs, and shins while joints are left open to allow users to crawl, climb, sprint, and fight with relative ease.

Warriors often paint their armor with clan-specific markings, deadly creativity, or tactical enhancements like utility belts, hidden knife racks, and weapon channels.

Shadowweave armor is rarely ever bragged about because it does just enough to keep a warrior alive – its purpose is to prevent fights.

“Armor keeps you alive when you make a mistake. The Night Viper teaches you not to make one.”
