Classification: Black Ops mercenary assassins

Description: The Night Viper clan is a secretive and highly disciplined clan known for stealth, reconnaissance, assassination, and unconventional warfare. Rather than relying on overwhelming force, the Night Vipers specialize in striking from darkness, gathering intelligence, and eliminating key targets before an enemy realizes they are under attack.

Their warriors are trained in tracking, infiltration, close-quarters combat, marksmanship, survival, and guerrilla tactics. Patience and precision are considered more valuable than brute strength.

The clan's symbol—a black viper wrapped around a silver blade—represents their philosophy: strike only when necessary, but strike decisively.

Though feared by outsiders, the Night Vipers maintain a strict warrior code. Honor is earned through actions, loyalty is absolute once given, and needless cruelty is considered weakness.

Their warriors are rarely seen until the moment they choose to be.

“We move unseen. We strike without warning. We leave only silence.”

HISTORICAL INFORMATION:

Young warriors are taught that their greatest weapons are not their blades but patience, awareness, and judgment.

A Night Viper is expected to know when to fight, when to disappear, and when walking away is the smarter victory.

Their history has given them a reputation that follows them wherever they travel:

They may not be the largest clan.

They may not be the loudest.

But when a Night Viper begins hunting you, the most dangerous mistake you can make is believing you are still the hunter. Legend holds Clan Night Viper began with a handful of Mandalorian warriors who knew there was more than one way to defeat an enemy. At one time many moons ago, Mandalore thrived on constant warfare. A small band of warriors chose to become scouts, trackers, and hunters…far from the safety of the battlefield.

Instead of charging headlong into glorious conflict, they stalked their enemies. They learned patience. Waiting for the opportune moment when their enemy was weakest, the clan's first warriors specialized as reconnaissance experts and hunters. Long years spent deep in enemy wilderness taught them how to track targets, live off minimal supplies, and move unseen across countless terrains.

Their code would eventually be distilled into what is now known as the Way of the Viper:

Know when to strike.
Strike only when necessary.
Leave nothing to chance.
Protect what is yours.
Never leave a job unfinished.

The viper would come to symbolize patience, adaptability, and deadly force.

Word spread quickly, and soon Night Viper warriors became well-known and highly desired trackers and Assassins. They took contracts that interested them. Contracts that often required more than simply blasting an enemy apart.

Sometimes a Night Viper would spend weeks tracking a single fugitive wanted across three planets. Learning patterns and routines before finally making their move.

This unconventional way of warfare solidified their reputation as patient and precise killers.

Where other clans operated large forces of fighters and Knights, Night Vipers operated alone. Able to keep a target in their sights across dozens of star systems. Able to hunt an enemy across an entire planet undetected. Sometimes they would even turn over their prey alive. The clan earned a reputation for capturing targets that living were needed – or eliminating them so efficiently that they'd never be a problem again. All jobs were filled by individuals. Clan Night Viper operated in cells to avoid crippling the organization if a member was captured or killed.

Because of their structure, Night Vipers were valued, but not trusted by many other clans.

Some Mandalorians condemned their techniques.

Others deemed them assassins.

Regardless of outside opinions, Night Vipers knew what they did was no less honorable than swinging a blade in the open. Their philosophy was simple:

“A warrior who wins the battle is still a warrior.”

Over the years, Clan Night Viper developed a strong core of accepting Mandalorian foundlings. Children born into the wild were taken into the clan and treated as one of their own. Given the same training and responsibilities as a child born into a Mandalorian family.

The clan believed what mattered was a warrior’s commitment to the clan. Blood mattered little.

Many of Clan Night Viper's greatest hunters were once foundlings.

The Clan in the Modern Era

Over hundreds of years, Clan Night Viper lost most ties to Mandalorian Culture and tradition. They had become a small but well-respected warrior clan. Very few outside the clan know where a Night Viper might choose to spend their time. The clan keeps no permanent base of operations, preferring instead a collection of ships, secret bases, and temporary camps. This mobile lifestyle allowed them to follow contracts, stay out of politics, and be nearly impossible for their enemies to find.

Warriors from Clan Night Viper can be found throughout the Outer Rim. Working as Assassins, scouts, survivalists, and covert operatives.

Rarely does Clan Night Viper attempt to insert itself into political situations. The clan prefers to remain independent.

Today, Clan Night Viper fiercely guards its culture and traditions.
