Hello guys,

I am brand new to the site and I thought I would introduce myself. I am a long time star wars fan who is quite experienced when it comes to roleplaying/storytelling through playing games like DnD with my friends and writing my own one shot stories. I stumbled across this site while looking for a more forum based place to roleplay and the setting definitely helped! I usually play characters that are more stealth oriented as it suits my writing style. I must admit the number of factions and the amount of material is quite overwhelming, so if anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

As for my character Alek, I want to find a home for him where I can build him from the ground up. Preferably as a lowly but promising agent/assassin archetype? I want to then gradually add to his biography the more stories that he gets involved in. I want his experiences here to form him as a character so that his bio is a product of his experiences with other characters on here.

Any guidance would be great.

I hope to have a long a fun stay here. :)

The great thing about Chaos is it may seem overwhelming, but other than the rules (which are common sense, really) you're really only limited by your imagination.

Is Alek a Force User? Criminal type? Military?

We have several "stealthy" options, like: (in no particular order)

1. Diarchy (playing all sides, and very unique)
2. Sith Order (Think "Sith Empire")
3. Mandalorian Empire (Sith like Mandos?)
4. C.I.S. (yes, the Confederacy! :))
5. Royal Naboo Republc (You can be a Jedi AND in the military with the Vanguard)
6. Wild Space Republic (Just starting but loads of "Republicesque" potential)

and last but not least
7. The Galactic Alliance(Biggest group.Think "New Republic", with several Stealth options)

Thank you both for the quick responses!

I was thinking I would put Alek into a military or intelligence set up as part of a black ops group if possible? He will come from a criminal background (I am working on his baseline bio as we speak). I want the military to be his saving grace and what gives him purpose. Due to his background he will definitely be a man of warped morals. He will also not be your typical soldier or spy. He will be borderline insubordinate at times and will prefer working alone rather than as a part of a group (Not to say he won't work with people as this is essential for story telling).

With regards to him being force sensitive. I think he will definitely show some ability in the force. But it won't be very obvious. It might enhance his military or undercover operational abilities but it may take a rather sensitive force user to notice his ability. He won't be a prodigy in the force that's for sure.

Welcome aboard! It for sure can be overwhelming, everyone has been there at some point. Like Caltin said, I have Lorn here who runs a Jedi Special Forces. Do a little stealth stuff here and there, more militaristic things for Naboo. I also have Roman Vossari Roman Vossari in the Confederacy who is a force sensitive who runs with the army and their special forces. So if you need a buddy for any of those factions, just let me know!

Though that isn't to discourage you from checking out all the other great factions we have here. What you want for your character can be achieved pretty much everywhere here, its all on you and how you want to tell the story. I would just look around and see what grabs your attention! And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Any of the factions would be happy to have you. I can say, on behalf of the Imperial Confederation (Non-Sith Imperial faction) that we could definitely use agents for our Intelligence services.
