New place. New home. Stability. Safety. No more paranoia.
New place. New home. Stability. Safety. No more paranoia.

She whispers those words to herself before standing up from her bed. It is a relief to know she was not as... hunted as she thought she was. In the end her old Master was still torturing her even after death through those skewed teachings. But that's over now.

Stupid perfect memory.

And all it took to achieve this freedom was for Hild to get get ass kicked a few times to listen to reason and accept the safety of reason and numbers. Thus, there she is, in a temple with proper furniture, other people and all a Sith can expect from an average Sith Temple/House/Place. Its... certainly far better than her last Sith temple, which was a fortress in some forgotten cold planet with only her, a few droids and the skeletons in the neighboring rooms. And her Master with his classes, which involved bad teaching methods, torture, examples, more bad teaching methods, repeat. To this day she doesn't remember his name. That's probably something removed from her during the lessons on mind manipulation to absorb knowledge. That and some other details Hild cannot remember, but if she doesn't remember then she doesn't need to worry. Right?

By not having any of those this place is already scoring positive points with Hild.... Maybe she has low standards, but survivors can't be picky right?

She chews on the rations from her backpack before leaving the room to walk through the halls and find an open area to see the skies and enjoy the cold air. She likes the cold, as most Valkyri do. While everyone else, she hopes, is somewhere into the temple seeking warmth or doing their duties, she is out there, alone, considering life. Being a new arrival, not even a week in, she has yet to formally join them but she was given some freedom to wander the place. To look at others and be looked at, because only a blind individual would not see Hild.

"... Might as well see where it goes." She speaks out to herself. Complaining, talking to yourself and punching others, those are the three types of therapy Hild loves. They have a 1:1 ratio of effort and result... So far at least.

No, not everyone had taken to staying inside today. Crysis had been up early, doing some light impact training drills with her sabers. This early in the morning, with the sun just beginning to rise over the peaks on Icarus, the training yard was empty. Though many would begin pouring from the dwelling the run "The Broken Path". A 10km run through the frozen mountainous passes, and the lava fields below. Crysis had no obligation to do so today, though many would run the path... Rarely did the same number that leave return, however.

Not her concern...

Today, the sabers in hand were wielded against shadow opponents, those that witnessed her would observe what seemed to be Crysis breaking the laws of physics, every move she did seemingly leaving an after-image of her persona. She twirled with all the grace of a dancer, though this dance was clearly not meant to bring pleasure. Jar'Kai was a beautiful form in practice, and Crysis was far from a Master, but she certainly wasn't a rookie either. She had at this point been able to easily string every part of her body into her seemingly fluid dance of death.

Elbows, Knees, Kicks, Blade, Elbow...

She would flourish again, jumping back and flipping to swing the blade into another imaginary target before unleashing another flurry in the opposite direction. This time it was varied, a completely different assortment of movements, only made more lethal by the constant after-image that could easily swarm an unsuspecting opponent's senses. She continued like this until her Montrals picked up something huge at the courtyard entryway. She stopped immediately, those afterimages ethereally moving to catch up with her robed figure.

Who was this woman? She had never seen her before. Why was she so...

Crysis deactivated the sabers, approaching the woman sternly at first, but would slow once she neared, realizing the simple gap in size. This woman was taller than Kathal... She was taller than the Seer... She was the tallest 'THING' she had ever seen in her life. It should have been noted however, that Crysis enjoyed very, very light advantages over most students, being Kathal's pupil, just as Finnea did, though neither might wish to readily admit it, it did show in some of their actions, such as Crysis immediately without hesitation speaking out at the other while she gawked.

"Who are you? Wh-.. What are you?"

Crysis asked, having by now hooked up her sabers, she was slowly walking around the woman with curiosity, observing her armor, and body structure. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"No way you are a human woman, how can you be so tall!? Are you a new student?"

She asked, heaving a little from her earlier practice before probably crossing a line when she reached out to poke at Hild's midsection. This woman must have stayed warm with this much muscle...

"What do you eat!?"

Note to self, stop day with the sarcastic monologues so much. This is not even the first time someone has managed to sneak up on her while Hild is too distracted to focus on her surroundings.

She turns to face the owner of that voice with remarkable speed for someone of her size. Perhaps not as fast as Crysis but still. Hild frowns, needing a few seconds to consider her options.

She is... used to the underworld. To criminals and to handling them, to work her contracts and intimidating rivals or small fish. But this is the first time someone walks up to her, talking and poking. Huh.

A hand moves to grab the wrist after the poke, brushing it away.
"Hild. New Acolyte. Good genetics. Yes. Bit of everything." The answers to all the questions. She is replying to them almost automatically. Maybe she should be using 'Icy' as her name but... No, too late now. It's best to leave the name a secret in case she needs a quick escape and return to that life. She really hopes it doesn't come to that, but, it eventually pays off to be prepared. That much her paranoia has taught her correctly.

"Wait. Wait. Wait." Go on, Hild, lead the conversation. Do not stand there being a giant poking target. True, she is warm because of her outfit, and good genetics probably, but still. "Who are YOU?" She pokes the tiny Togruta's forehead. Well, most individuals are 'tiny' for her, so. That's the second Sith of this group she speaks with .This Tinygruta and that one who kicked her ass and sent her into flip to lap on her head. Twice. The higher ranked ones tend to be quieter and... creepier. So this one is... Ah, who cares about logic in a place where people can control reality with their minds!

"Aren't you supposed to, I don't know, be doing apprentice stuff with your Master? " The whole concept between proper lessons still seems too much for her. To think a Sith would actually care to teach an apprentice enough, risking an eventual betrayal in the future...

The woman was content to answer Crysis in her barrage of questions, something that excited the 'tinygruta', making her grin as she continued to ask them. Though she had canted her head at the world Acolyte. Ah, she got it now, a Sith convert. She had never seen Sith this big on Korriban though. She didn't believe Hild about the genetics part, there had to be something in her diet, why wouldn't she just tell her?

Crysis was aloof until the giant woman poked her forehead, causing her head to pitch back lightly, her eyes snapping up with surprise, and light irritation at the action. She immediately realized; how rude she had been to poke the woman without provocation. She didn't like it... Though Crysis was mature enough to eat that one, she knew better than to bite off more than she could chew and would let that slight glare devolve into a grin of sorts. With a hand on her forehead, the grin would move to a smirk, then she lowered her hands and continued to circle her a bit.

"I am Crysis, Kathal's pupil... He isn't going to be back for some time, no. He's overseeing some training in the Lava Fields. Watch out..."

She said, standing aside as a steady stream of initiates poured out into a jog, going about their run on The Broken Trail. Crysis would have wanted to see her reaction, though most gave a certain pause as the sight of the giant woman, and gave her a wide berth, going around. Crysis saw this and narrowed her (currently) iridescent hues on the woman. She guessed that was just how it went when you were big enough to punt the people around you.

She was a little jealous here, but more intrigued than anything. Crysis wanted to make this big woman a friend. Anyone she couldn't beat in a fight, surely this one could.

When the Neophytes cleared out, Crysis would move back to stand near the woman.

"There are no Acolytes here, we use different terms... Have you even, done the Trial of M-.."

Crysis bit her tongue then, realizing she should've consulted her Master before talking herself into trouble.

"Anyway, Hild... Where's your room? Is your bed big enough?"

She asked curiously, immediately refocusing the topic of conversation.

"I am Crysis, Kathal's pupil...

Kathal... That one. So this girl is the apprentice to THAT one? This is either a massive coincidence or the girl was sent as a spy to check up on Hild and gather her secrets and... No. Stop. Hild needs to be less suspicious of the world. Maybe this is just a coincidence. Maybe this togruta girl is just curious about Hild's height and build. She's certainly not the first, of course. Speaking of...

... Acolytes... jogging? Huh. Things really are different here and that might be good or bad for Hild. Many of them, if not all, stare at her in surprise and awe. Maybe even some fear. Or curiosity. A rational and sensitive individual would probably try to defuse the situation and befriend them, for the sake of a a more peaceful relatinship in the future as allies and friends. But Hild is NOT a sensitive individual. Rational, yes, she's got a good brain in her skull. But if her mission does not demand some level of subtlety, then she can just go and do things the Hild way.

Right then and there, the Hild Way translates to 'crossing her well defined arms and staring off those daring to look her way because she is not in a good mood''. There. Situation averted. If, and that is a very big 'if' she decides to stay there she can always just impress, bribe or blackmail her way to earn their respect. Those are easy enough for her.

Now back to this one. Was she... staring at Hild's back this whole time?

"There are no Acolytes here, we use different terms... Have you even, done the Trial of M-... Anyway, Hild... Where's your room? Is your bed big enough?"

Trial of the M...? Well, doesn't matter. She will either find out or not. "It is... enough, yes." An odd question. A spy would probably know that. Even if they weren't her cape doubles as sheet, blanket and sleeping bag. "Right. Crysis. Odd name there but... What can you tell me about this pretty Sith scheme going on here? is this a front to make money?" Hild is a curious creature and this place is far different than what her imagination tried to prepare her for.

For starters the fact her room actually offers minimal comfort and it has no hooks of metal on the walls.... That's nice.
