Is there a point to this anymore? There's only one person willing to do the job. Just make him the new FO already so the whole of the OS can move to its newest chapter and keep the Rp flowin.

Please just take this as commentary (and not an argument), but it's not just up to the FOs and FAs to generate activity for the faction.
It's also up to the members. Anyone is welcome to start faction threads, public threads, duels and other types of organized activities for the Sith at any time.
So downtime is kind of an imaginary construct.

No not seriously. Andrew Jackson lost because the people in charge didn't want him to win, and so they made deals to ensure that didn't happen.
Do I think I could work with the GR folks running for their FO vote and make something happen, yes. But I also don't think I could keep the OS 'Win Streak' going, mostly because I could care less about winning things as a Faction. I know Carach meant his nomination as a joke, and I meant my acceptance to continue that joke.
