SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Incredible strength due to the density of the alloy.
  • incredible heat resistance
  • Incredible kinetic resistance
  • Sensor resistance
STRENGTHS
  • Neurgsten is based on the densest substances found in the galaxy. Its ability to withstand extreme radiation, heat, energy and kinetic damage is unrivaled. Any item created from the alloy must reflect these traits.
  • Neurgsten has anti-scanning properties due to its incredible density. This limits anything made from the allot from the targeting of independent systems by scanners.
WEAKNESSES
  • Neurgsten is incredibly dense and therefore very heavy. Any item created with the alloy must reflect the weight as being extremely heavy.
  • Neurgsten is very rare. The materials and the process for its creation are very extreme. Any item created from the alloy must be a unique item or unique production
DESCRIPTION
After several vessels designs that utilized the massively dense Neuranium metal, The engineering teams of The Directorate sought to produce an alloy that retained the properties of Neuranium, lessened the mass of the metal. and be more efficient for production purposes. By combining the element with tungsten, another composite which was nearly as dense yet much lighter, the Directorate had engineered a new alloy that obtained their goals. Neurgsten, takes Tungsten Carbide and mixes it molecularly with Neuranium to make an incredibly dense material. While the density is less than pure Neuranium, it still maintains an 87% density to the original material. this makes it very resistant to heat, energy, radiation, and kinetic types of energy.

The decrease in mass gives the material a much broader range of uses from blaster casing for man-portable heavy weapons, to starship armor plating. While lighter the material is still much heavier than other materials and therefore will make any unit constructed from the alloy extremely heavy.

Neurgsten also retains the neuranium's ability to shield from sensors due to its density. This aids in preventing a unit made of the alloy from having any specific system shielded by the alloy from being targeted by sensors.

The production time and cost of Neurgsten are considerable. The alloy must be heated to very extreme heat in the melting process. Neuranium is heated for a full week to achieve a state at which other metals can be added to the molten stage. Once the molten neuranium is prepared tungsten is then melted to a molten state, mixed with the carbon in a carbonizing process. once this carbide has been created it is then mixed into the molten neuranium and left to settle for a month. Once the alloy has cooled it can be stored and then remelted to form any shape needed for any project. The thicker the form the more formidable the strength and density of the alloy.
