  • Intent: To create a base of operations for the Eclipse Rebels to co-ordinate efforts against the Eternal Empire

SETTING INFORMATION

  • Military Base Name: Nest Holdings Base
  • Classification: Hidden Military Base

  • Population: Insignificant
  • Demographics: Mostly human, but range of species changes as people come and go.
  • Accessibility: Above ground is semi-private and partly accessed to the public for shipping. Below ground is private as the knowledge of it is known to a small handful of people.
  • Description: Hidden in plain sight. Above ground is warehouses for what appears to be a food processing company that's open for deliveries. Below ground is private access only for Eclipse Rebel personnel.
POINTS OF INTEREST

Warehouse: Utilizing an old military base, Nest Holdings had turned it into a food processing center, complete with storage and equipment for shipping, receiving and processing of foods.
Landing Pads: Designated landing pads for cargo vessels and visitors
Hidden Hangers: Separate from the landing pads are 3 hangers for smaller vessels such as fighters to help defend the base.
Underground Base: Secret access through the generator room is the main point of entry for the secret base, wherein one may find the armoury, communications, bunks, medbay, mess hall and war room. Tunnels lead from the hidden hangers, providing other access points for exit/entry
Radar Towers: Used for communications. Very old tech, but still works.
Shield Generators: Mostly offline, but the two can be turned on in case of advance notice of an attack

SECURITY

Rating: Low

  • Shield Generators
  • Anti-air turrets
  • Security cameras within and without the hidden base, tunnels, as well as the above ground warehouse
  • 15 Soldiers (5 monitoring the warehouse, 10 monitoring the base)

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

The Eternal Empire grows, and with it comes it's brutal occupations of each world in it's path. Yet there are some that resist. The Eclipse Rebellion formed, utilizing secrecy, rumours and contacts within the hierarchy of the Eternal Empire itself to fuel their efforts of taking down Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe and his tyrannical rule.

Coveway was chosen as a perfect location to help organize and plan efforts by the Eclipse Rebellion to stop the Eternal Empire as it warred against other nations and peoples. They had to be secretive in it's nature, creating a fake food processing company known as Nest Holdings to hide their true intentions. Trusted individuals and guests gained access to the hidden base either through the hidden hangers or in a secret entrance in the generator room where they follow tunnels that take them deep underground. Enclosed within are the armoury, communications, bunks, messhall, med bay and of course the war room.

Soldiers help to protect both the warehouse and the base when the anti-air turrets and shields fail. This base was not meant to hold an army. Given that it's the start of the Eclipse Rebellion, they are well aware that they may have to secure a different location should they be compromised. So the less there was to move, the better.

  • Population: 30
This needs a rating that follows the template. You can keep the number, but pick one of the ratings:

  • Population: [ Choose from: Uninhabited, Insignificant, Sparse, Moderate, Heavy, Crowded. How large is this Military Base? How many armed units? If your military base is generic, you may separate this population into Army Personnel, Navy Personnel, etc. ]
Accessibility: Above ground is semi-private. Below ground is private.

Could you describe this a bit more? Couple lines suffice. Basically make it clear how easy access is.

SECURITY

Rating: High

  • Shield Generators
  • Anti-air turrets
  • Security cameras within and without the hidden base, tunnels, as well as the above ground warehouse
  • 15 Soldiers (5 monitoring the warehouse, 10 monitoring the base)

I'd recommend either lowering the rating or beefing up the security assets. High is a rating appropriate for a well-secured, extensive military base with a significant garrison (think the Rebel Alliance base on Hoth) and this is more like a small outpost with shielding and concealment in form of the front company. 15 people is one squad.

SECURITY
[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum) and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and perimeter defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. Military troops and hardware are appropriate for all levels of the security rating for Military Bases. Please link rare or uncommon tech/equipment to the SW wiki article or Factory-approved submission. Common canon items do not need to be linked. ]
